Hello 2 + 2!!

I have followed the site for as long as I can remember and decided to create an account to start being active as well as track my own journey.

I am a 24 year old who moved from West Virginia to Boston last June. I have been playing poker consistently (probably daily) for about 10 years. I started by watching my dad play on Full Tilt which I quickly became obsessed with. I talked my parents into letting me play under my moms name and talked my dad into taking me to the home games with him and was quickly hooked. Full Tilt eventually turned into Bovada which has now turned into PPPoker. I play live and online with a pretty large amount of volume.

I have never played poker full time and have always held a full time job. I currently work at a bank in Boston but spend a lot of hours on PPPoker or at Twin River (Foxwoods occassionally). I only play NLH live but play NLH, PLO5+, and mainly OFC, which I have found to be my biggest edge, on PPPoker. My biggest weakness is probably keeping a consistent log of play (hence this thread) and never getting actual training (debating between Upswing or crushlivepoker). Despite not keeping track at all, I used the features on PPPoker to give me my win/losses for the year thus far.

NLH Cash +614.51
NLH MTT +3,188.28
PLO 5 -1615.38
OFC +5514.60

This is only online and I have no clue on the live cash number. I know I am a winner overall but no clue on the amount. Having a full time job has allowed me to play a little higher than I probably should and I definitely have a few mental leaks besides bankroll management like playing when I have been drinking or playing late at night when I'm tired. Despite all this, I am still happy with these results and have decided to make the leap....

My lease ends in June and I want to transition to poker full time. I have no clue where I want to live full time (not in Boston, going to be down south somewhere) but I do want to travel a lot. Outside of poker and travel, I have been trying to get in better shape while in Boston. I was 288 lbs when I moved (I'm 6'3) and now weigh 245. The goal is to get down to 220 by August.

I have tossed around the idea of starting a VLOG when I start full time because I think it would be cool to get a transparent view of what its like to start out and the grind behind playing poker full time. I think the combination of poker, travel , and fitness would be a fun watch as well. I just don't know if it will be too much to combine with trying to improve my play/study.

Anyways, this thread is where I decided to start it all and will be doing daily updates on my sessions. Sessions are always in the evening because of my job so updates will be next morning. We are going to grind some PPPoker this evening and head to Twin River for a live session tomorrow!

Happy to have anyone join the journey and welcome any feedback and discussions!
