Heyo!

Im a recreational player playing 50NL right now. Ive played a couple years now on and off,
but never took it seriously. Its about time to change that.
My goal with this PGC is to keep track of my game and result.

Im working fulltime, an avg month is about 220-260hours work,
which make it hard to put in huge volume on poker.

My plan is to play poker for a living in the near future.

Goal is to turn 2k$ into 10k$, also improve a lot on the way. (makeing new goals when this is reached)

Im gonna move up to 100NL when BR reach 3,5k$
and 200NL when BR reach 8k$.

Im will be playing mostly zoom. Ive played about 44k hands since I started again.

I have some leaks I know about that needs to be fixed.

1. Is river call, I am calling way too loose otr. My "River call eff" is 0,89 which is too low.
2. Im bluffing in spots where opp SHOULD fold but I then realize they just dont do that.
Which means I should be tightening up my bluffing range a bit and expand my valuerange as they are bluffcatching too much is this spots.
3. Im also tend to miss some spots vs fish where I use too small or to big betsize.

My strong side is that Im almost never tilt, last time was summer 2015 I remember.
I never trashtalk in chat as I dont feel it gives my anything.

Thats it for now. I will post some hands today. I will also post hands where I embarrassed myself because I didnt think! No auto-pilot!

Lol sample. I have achieved some 10bb/100 at 50nl and 100nl over identical samples, and in cash games EV does not say too much about where u stand.

In any case gl OP, hope everthg goes ur way

A new try with all the hands a I have on this DB. I didnt post all hands because I didnt feel it was relevant. My gameplan and ranges are totally different now the last 45k hands.

What I mean by recreational player is that I dont have enough hands in this DB to prove that Im a winning player and I am a rec player in the stakes above.

Thanks for wishing me good luck!!

Thanks!!

I find that its not always a bad thing having a job. I feel I get a lot more quality hours when Im playing or study poker, as I dont have the whole day. cause if I have a whole day Im to chill. Im probably having some troubles with being too optimistic about time. I also have a GF and 2 children, a 5 month and a 6 year old. Need to have some time over for family too

Best of luck with moving up!! Be sure to not be stressed of getting up in stakes. let it take the time it takes. Also I think it is very improtant to also study away from the tables. The time you spend away from tables is time you get back on the tables by not doing the same mistakes again and again.

Maybe this is just "meh" for you, you might have been playing highstakes and just starting over because you took out all money to buy hookers and blow. I dont know

Good luck anyway and if you have a PGC please link and if you dont have one, make one!!

This month isnt going great. Im running a couple buyins under EV, not too much but it will take some time to repair the hole im digging.

Im gonna be studying and review some hands I played tonight. I might find some fun hands. I know Im running bad but I also playing bad. Im definitely not playing my A-game, more B or even C some times. yesterday was C-game, I made some bluffs that didnt really tell the right story.

I will definitely post hands where did mistake. I do not accept autopilot, I do definitely not accept me trying to exploit my opponents when autopiloting like a moron.

Im having some more buyins to play on 50NL before Im getting forced to move down because of BRM.

GL everyone!!

Hey there. I think your BRM is not optimal right from the start and variance is very much underrated but most of the players. By setting the goal to move up when you hit 35 BIs for NL 100 and 40BIs for NL 200 you put yourself in a position where your overall WR should be around 9-10 BB/100 AND also to run on a low sample size at this WR, which is almost impossible.
Hitting one or multiple big downswings is very likely to happen in the long run and you`re never prepared for them with a 40Bi`s strategy. My guess would be that you will always move up and down through stakes and even you hit the 3.5K for NL 100, you`ll have to move down eventually, depending on your current run. But also you might never hit it because you constantly move up and down NL 50 and NL 25.
At the start of this year I managed to run a 350$ BR up to 5.2K playing Zoom 50 and Zoom 100 and had similar BRM strategies like you do, but this happened because I chose to play a low variance style at Z50, turning profitable calls/shoves into folds that had a small EV and high variance. At Z100 unfortunately I didn`t stick to my plan and managed to lose ~20Bis and decided to quit.
I think that the BRM should be accordingly to your playing style, if you`re playing a high variance style you need more BI`s otherwise you`ll constanlty move up and down through stakes and you`ll probably reach your final goal in a very long period of time.
If you play a low variance style you should be prepared to ACCEPT to be exploitable by most of the good regs and stick to your plan and not care too much. This is pretty hard to do I guess since most of us don`t accept these things and care too much about them .
Anyways, good luck on your goals and I really hope you`ll make it.
Cheers.

There's nothing wrong with his BRM. You're the one playing 100z on a $350 BR lol.

Also lol at people who think a 40BI roll can't handle the swings of zoom. High variance or not. You have a winrate and rake back. I would bet my life that someone winning at 3-4bb/100 couldn't possibly busy a 40BI roll ever.

There are some things here to consider

1) I think you should never bet your life on anything even if your 110% percent you`re right )
2) Variance is underrated by most of the players.
3) Going through a downswing will mentally affect most of us and even you have the money to play the current stake, you`ll lose confidence if you don`t work on your game every day and probably the quality of your game which will make you from a 3-4BB/100 winner to a 2BB/100 winner whichi implies even MORE variance, so the frequency of your downswings will now be even higher. Unless you`re a super experienced players these things will affect you wether you want it or not.
4) RB is worthless unless you put a very high amount of hands/month, increasing your hourly WR, but decreasing your WR and increasing variance.
And the least important if not at all:
5) At the stars of the year I cashed out my money from stars but couldn`t cash out my last 350$, so this was like a fun challange that turned into something more serious.

Rb is not worthless. It adds another 1.75bb/100 to your winrate immediately at these stakes. And if your mental game suffers 2bb/100 because of run bad, you ought not to be playing online poker.
