this thread is going to help me to accomplish my goal of playing 50k hands of winning online cash games in 3 months.
I plan on only playing one table at a time because this goal is not about the money to me its about proving to myself that I am a profitable live cash game player. As well as improving as much as i can on my game while i build a bankroll for live cash games through my job. In the past ive had many attempts at building up my roll through playing alone with measly little 40 dollar short buys at my local home game. and although i believe i am up lifetime after about 200-400 hours of this it is extremely high variance and looking back with hindsight if i would have deposited all of that money online and build up a bankroll on the side i would be a lot further in poker as well as a much better poker player than i am right now. playing a short stack strategy especially at the lower limits is stunting my growth as a player which is why i am going to switch to online with an emphasis on paying as much possible attentioin to every single hand to improve my hand reading skills.
i will be using this thread to discuss the hands i play at 2nl on ACR and how they can be compared to vegas low stakes cash games. Hopefully i can play everyday despite my job because it seems like its going to be tough to get this many hands in while one tabling. I am going to try to stick to one table anyway though because it seems like giving that table my undivided attention would be the most similair to live as well as help me improve the most. what do yall think about that?

well its been 9 long days ive waited for a chance to play some online poker and it is not going so well. first of all i tried to buy some bitcoins to deposit on americas cardroom and by the time the atm fees had kicked in i had a couple dollars less than i needed coincidentally my computer screen cracked around the same time. so after more than a week i got all of those problems resolved but i am running bad/playing bad at 2nl. heres a couple hands from today. i hope the links work
1) http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/8987720
this hand i was really considering 3 betting pre flop, post flop i was kind of concerned with the large cbet but decided to call it of and bluff flush turns to maybe get villain off sets,j8,QQ. river raise seemed really weak due to the fact he didnt just shove so i just called it off in hindsight it doesnt really accomplish anything and calling is probably best if anything.

i decided to call this one off because it didnt seem like he wanted me to call his shove. since he only flat call the flop. i put him on a heart draw or a 5 or a 6 for a straight draw and i wanted to get the money in while he was drawing is this to loose?

After last nights session i can confirm two things. The first is that im pretty sure im not gonna get 50k hands in by september if im only playing one table. I dont want to put a number on it im just gonna play as many hands i can in the timeframe i have. Secondly i am too willing to stack of with top pair/bluff catching type hands. I am down 5 buy ins and nearly every losing hand i had played was for stacks. This is probably due to the fact that i am being overly aggressive. That used to work in live games where everybody played passively but now i need to adjust to these online players who arent afraid to play back at me.
