Hey there you!

So I have decided to go into the full time grind next year as working in IT and the Office life just isn't for me, coupled with finding some backing. I have started playing full time in December already and will post EV Graph below but basically my plan is to put in mad hours, starting at around the $8 buyin range, I have some sicko's thankfully to talk hands through and im looking forward to put in the grind. Goals for next year are below:

280 Hours a Month
50k Profit
Playing 109+ consistently
Play a few live donkaments
Get a grind house going

I have been playing Poker since 2013 having built up 5 figures playing live cash and then promptly spewing and donating it all since then, A few medications later and now we can deal with the variance of MTTs and I am a lot more focused on my game, working all my way up from the bottom again is very humbling and I am loving the grind, look forward to updating this blog and interacting with other Regs and build up a network of homies!

EV Graph: (As of 21/12/2017)

Sharkscope: (As of 21/12/2017)

Feel free to hit me up if you wanna discuss hands or hang out, I'm usually down for sweat sessions on Skype and I think a big mistake I made when I was younger was having a massive ego so I am trying to build a good network of people to hang out with and as my man Kendrick said, Be Humble

Thanks for taking the time to read this, looking forward to updates!

Thanks for the support guys!

Update on end of the year (Just finished up my last session)

We achieved 300 hours this month but obviously results wise not what I wanted, being rusty have been plugging a way at a lot of leaks or bad plays and studying a bit more. Enjoy NYE boys and girls and see you in 2018!

Ran pure, played pretty well - would be interested to get thoughts on my bustout hand, some people I have discussed it with have said its a fold but I think even with ICM considerations we have to call KJs+ here

Day 2: Meh

So down about 150 on the day yesterday, decided to add party and got rekt in about 19 different ways, ran really pure in terms of all-in EV on stars but wasn't able to get anything going, kept running like TT or QQ into AA and getting there, feels bad using up all my run good to lose money!

Going to put in a long session today and hopefully it pays dividends.

Also in regards to the hand I posted above yesterday, people have basically said should be KQs+ in that spot and maybe called a bit too lose but given how top heavy the structure is its not the worst call in terms of FGS.

If you can find an IT job easily this is not that bad of an idea. If not this is literally a homeless maker idea. You need to understand chaos theory and the butterfly effect to understand MTT's. Once you realize that each action is literally life changing especially since money reinvested is qualitative, exponential in its effect.

I started with $5-$110 MTT's and have not had much luck in 3 months. To base your food off genuine gambling as MTT's are is not recommended. Usually grind cash then shot take only the biggest guaranteed MTT's as MTT's have high fixed costs.

Best of luck to you brother.

Thanks for the kind words! I am still signed up with some temp agencies as I used to be a contractor so if things become desperate I can take a few weeks/months worth of work so I have a backup plan!

Thoughts:

So I think im playing pretty crap and have been running like god. my EV/BB100 is crap and whilst a lot of spots I have looked at are pretty standard Jam/Rejam spots where we run into it I feel my overall gameplan needs a lot of work, I have been studying ICM all month and am going to move over to my postflop game and also using hud to full potential when making plays against opponents.

Obviously had great results and super happy with how the week has gone but ultimately I want to play the best I possibly can, I have posted my EV BB graph so you can see how pure I have run as opposed to making great allins here:

Any MTT players (Preferably winning regs around the $11+ Level) who want to chat on skype or organise sweat sessions or hang out just DM me and we can get a study group going, I am looking for serious people to join

I don't think ICM Studying is a good use of time if you're playing MTT's.

It's definitely a spot where people have huge leaks and can be exploited but there's such a small % of time that you spend in that situation in a daily MTT grind that I think time is better spent studying other areas.

Not at $11 abi yet but when I'm there will definitely hit you up on skype!

Yeah looking back I defo agree, my logic now is theres no point fixing up my final table game if I dont reach them!

Day 8 Review

Only 4 tabling I noticed I played so much better in many spots and crushed it in terms of BB/100 - also ran kings into aces preflop in the Hot 22, 22 Monday 6max and Mini Marathon so ran pretty aids. Down about 60 bucks on the day. FT bubbled event on 888 as well, feels 11th man

I also got a few cool hands to post here;

https://www.boomplayer.com/26484750_238C3CDFEC

Thoughts: Villains range should be super capped on turn so we bet big on river to get paid by underpair, maybe we can check to induce a bet then c/r?

https://www.boomplayer.com/26485314_B9FA2D782E

Thoughts: Villain is repping super thin here, he shouldn't have any 7x in his range and I imagine an overpair check/calls river - thoughts on bluff catch?

https://www.boomplayer.com/26484602_2013034A12

Thoughts: spazzes gonna spaz

I usually only lurk in these parts of the forum, but I just wanted to say GL and i'll be following you here

I work fulltime so I only play as rec player (2-10 tournaments per evening in weekdays, full 15hour sessions on weekends usually) and also playing a bit higher ABIs, but still interesting to follow this

H1: any reason for no 3b there so deep? I think he checks his entire range on river other than Ax which he most likely bets turn so I like betting the size you did here.

H2: He is repping super thin, but I also don't know what he is expecting us to fold with a river shove with this SPR - as a result I would say this is a fold. Say he cbets 80% of his range OTF - I don't think he triple barrels much of the range we are ahead of by the river.
We have more 7x in our range than he does, and therefore isn't he more likely to be shoving for value than as a bluff? Also, the fact that we have 66 blocks his A6s which is a hand he is most likely to triple barrel bluff with.

H3: Fun times! I think a bigger x/r OTF is maybe better here as he'll always still call with his Qx and FD anyway and we just give him a worse price

UL on the KK vs AA **** - seems to be happening to mee all too often recently with AK vs KK and just never ever getting there.

Reason being is I had 3bet like the last 5/8 hands (got hit with the deck) so decided just to flat to mix it up in that spot as I feel I wouldn't get 3bet light given perception of maniac.

Day [9] Results

Down about 40 bucks on the day, not really any interesting spots, spent too much time watching the PCA coverage instead of focusing on hands, will reign it in today and make sure I stay focused on the grind, starting a bit later and will play some of the night schedule.

Day 13 Update

Played a really short session yesterday, down about 70 bucks, lost all the big flips and high equity pots but I am super happy with how I played, it finally feels like my game is starting to click especially in PKO's

Decided to post my year to date graph so far (before it gets destroyed on sunday) I have only played about 5 SnGs so most of my volume is pure scheduled tournaments, I am really happy considering I have been 4-6 tabling this week with the work I have put in, and I haven't taken a day off since Jan 1st with a minimum of 12 hours each day except for yesterday so we are on target to hit hours.

I think a lot of people underestimate how much poker you need to play or how obsessed you need to be with it to transition to high stakes, I don't believe I am a naturally talented person but think that by working hard and smart you can get there with more effort.

Peace out and good luck today hombres!

Thoughts: So basically Sundays are ****ing brutal. It seems to me you need to fire hard and hope to bink and the variance is so hard it can be very demoralizing but I guess thats part of the MTT life. I really struggled to study this week so I'm asking what RIO Essential videos I Should watch if you guys have any suggestions.

Goals for next week:

Dont punt final tables
Stop getting it in Pre with deeper stacks
Try to play more postflop pots

This so much - I have a really bad tendancy to just punt off with like JJ or AQ pre with like 80+ bigs. I think it's a hangover from playing 180mans where you've never got more than 75 bigs realistically.

I'm also on the RIO train. Apotheosis (Chris Kruk) has some really good value essential videos before he moved up to Elite. He's now a main BitB coach so definitely one of the better ones.
