You know jumping from 25z to 200z just because you were on a heater is probably the worst idea you have had in this entire thread. I mean that is seriously seriously stupid, but it worked out so it must've been a good idea. From the hands you've uploaded it looks like you're getting lucky and not playing okay-ish, this is just my opinion and I aint hating or trying to take a **** on ur results
Also you probably need to play 100x the volume you have to know whether you can beat the stakes ur palying or not

All good man i appreciate the feedback. Obv jumping from 25z to 200z is pretty dumb i would agree if the 200$ lost would really hurt the roll, but in this case losing 200$ is just a buy in at lucky chances. BUT i should just build my sample playing 25z and 50z and so forth so i could see the progression.

Not sure why it only imported 85 hands from the 400 but these were the only two worth posting. First hand is lol basically my life.

Today played decent about at 50z won about 300 while playing 25z on the side think i lost about 3bis at 25nl today lol.

Definitely some fun hands at 50z i can't wait to post lol.

Played a session of 50nl reg speed and i must say it is boring but i would say more profitable. I won't be able to get a lot of volume this way since i only play two tables at once. That being said i have about 1500 hands logged in at 50nl and I'm pretty sure ill just be at this stake for now. 25nl have about 5k hands logged but don't see the point in playing the stake anymore since my main focus is to make money and move up.

Here are some hands i played nothing to exciting.

Nice thread buddy! Hope you make the dream reality.

Only thing I'm curious is how often you have losing sessions on the casino?

Thanks man! I like to have a stop loss of two buyins so in my case 400$. On how often i lose? well it really depends there have been times where i lost for 7 days straight but thats the variance we all face.

No offence but i think ur just clicking buttons in most of the hands you posted, why not just grind and focus mainly on MTT's that seems to be your strong suit?

Obv anyone with half a brain can beat live 1/2 and 2/5 for the most part so you also will still have time for other things GL

None taken i agree most can beat 1/2 live.

So volume wise i haven't got the amount i wanted but i have about 11.4k hands logged since i started tracking hands with pokeit. Most of the volume coming from 5k hands at 50nl and 4.7k hands at 25nl with little mix of 100nl and 200nl.

Here are the graphs still playing 50nl at the moment just working on spots and analyzing hands. Hope to put in a lot of volume in the following weeks at 50nl reg speed tables.

Hello everyone so haven't played much online poker since PPPoker (an app where you can play real money poker) is EXTREMELY SOFT been basically printing on the app. I have also been playing a lot of live poker and created a schedule that works best for my life at the moment.

Everyday I drop my girlfriend off at 2pm And pick her up at 6pm So..

Poker: 2pm-6pm. Then I like to enjoy my time with her from 6pm-10pm

10pm- till basically whenever but I strive to play 8hrs or more. Ideally I'll play till 6am then sleep from 6am to like 12pm.

So yeah just wanted to let you guys know what's going on in my life and the path I'm taking to achieve my dream. Also I have been on a pretty good upswing at the moment. So feeling good and just trying to stay composed.

Hows it going everyone its story time and honesty time. So I'm not the best when it comes to story telling so bear with me. i have had a lot happen to me in my first year of becoming a pro poker player that I'm ready to share with you all today. when i turned 21 i was living in my car and playing live poker almost everyday. I hit a downswing and in search for a job i applied for a job at this pharmaceutical company called Sandoz to work data entry. Turns out it was one big scam and they got me for 3500$ i was in so much pain i cried myself to sleep for the next 5days. i was broke had 250$ cash in my pocket with -3500 in m checking. This was in early October and to top it all off the car i was sleeping in someone crashed it the next morning. So I'm sitting there with a crashed car, broke, hopeless. luckily i have an amazing girlfriend who's been with me on this journey she helped me get back on my feet. after i fixed my car i was doing door dash to try and pay off the debt. a week later i felt the urge to play poker and it turned out to be the best but dumbest/ greatest mistake i ever made. i went to lucky chances on october 22nd and put my last 250$ into a sunday tournament. i couldn't believe i did that i realised at that moment i had a problem with money. i remember that day so clearly and long story short i won that tournament for 10k i felt blessed but also disgusted. i couldn't believe it but i was so grateful i paid off my debt put money aside for taxes and i bought a 3k 2007 Hyundai that i would be now living in. i know i said i had an apartment with my girlfriend i lied and I'm sorry for lying, but i was just very embarrassed about my living situation. now lets fast forward to present day right now.

i have 5k in my life roll that i use for my 1/2nl grind. so far i played 702hrs won 11.6k 8.29 bb per hr. i still live in my car and everyday i spend trying to get better at poker and make my dream a reality. i have been grinding ignition 25nl to kill time and make like 70$ a day or whatever but mainly to just stay fresh. my main grind is live 1/2 and i hope to vlog my journey with you all from my current stand point to 3/5 and hopefully a place.

any questions please feel free to ask I'm ready to be honest. this is very embarrassing for me but i think its time to show the world what happen and why i feel so blessed to be able to even have 5k after all that has happened. I'm ready to share my process with you all.

Also i don't need any more suggestions on "go back to school" "get a job" trust me I'm fine with my life and I'm doing everything i can to make it until 24 which is the age i set for myself to show if i made it or not and if not go back to school, get a corporate job make 70k a year call it a night. BUT i want what i have been wanting since i first touched cards when i was 12 and that is gaining financial freedom and happiness from a card game that i try and try to get better at day by day.

i love you all join me on my journey ill take all positive vibes from you all

When my car got crashed. i used duck tape to put the bumper back on.

Glad you came clean with the lies buddy. Takes balls. I think my advice from like a year ago still stands though. Poker isn't what it used to be.

RubRub,

I have followed a handful of your threads. Just a couple general takeaways...

1. putting all of the money to your name into a single tournament/hand is not a great long-term decision. As a professional gambler, I would assume you understand that. And although you did it once (nice tournament score, by the way), you will need to put in SERIOUS effort to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

2. You shouldn’t even be thinking about 3/5 NL. You probably aren’t even properly bank-rolled for 1/2 NL (not to mention you have no savings, and your entire net worth is composed of your bankroll?), but the weak play at 1/2 should be able to mitigate some of the variance.

I’m assuming you don’t have many life expenses at all? No rent? No utilities? I’m assuming you get casino comps to eat food?

So it seems like the only life expenses you have is gas, and paying for stuff for your girlfriend?

3. Stop playing online poker “to kill time”. If you are gonna be a professional poker player you should be spending every waking minute to make as much money as possible. The time that you spend playing 25NL online should really be spent playing 1/2 NL live (vs generally worse players than you would be playing 25NL online against, honestly)

4. How many months do you have until you turn 24? Just curious how long this idea will run until you consider going down a different road.

———

As I mentioned to you 24 months ago or so, I would recommend getting a college degree, a nice stable job with solid pay, benefits, and possibility for upwards growth, and play poker as a hobby/side income. But since you don’t want me to suggest that, I’ve left my actual suggestions above
