Ok everyone I have completely focused on live. My goal is to post more hand histories here so I can get better. I don't think my game is bad by any means. I believe if I stuck to the way I played I could beat 1/2 but my interest is to get better. Explaining my thought process and why I did certain things and receiving feedback is how to get better. I'm dedicated to getting better and I'm willing to put in the work. I have been watching a lot of hand histories with PIO trying to understand a new way of thinking. I really enjoy that format.

My goal is to play 500 hours even that I know is a small sample but at the end of 500 hours I hope to be winning 20$/hr. For work I do have a job other than poker but it's very flexible which allows me to play long sessions.

Also I don't live in my car anymore after grinding this job and poker I have now got a place with my girlfriend. So life in that department is pretty satisfying. Now that I have a good life foundation I'm ready to take the next step which is going all in with poker. I study as much as I can because honestly I just enjoy learning about poker. I'm ready for the struggles I will face and I'm ready to work harder than ever. Welcome to my journey

You are not built for OL, you are built for live imo. Play micros for practice and to see what better players are doing OL, but you don't have the ability to put in enough off-table work and on-table volume to compete in today's shrinking online economy.

But you're an extrovert - the live grind will come easier for you than the basement dwelling nerds. Playing live is the only chance you will have ever have to a be a poker pro, but if you manage yourself properly, you might be able to get somewhere against the really soft competition in your avg 1/2 game and then eventually move up to 2/5. Seems like you might enjoy the table banter, random stupid stuff and lights and sounds of the casino more than most, so your 6-18 hour shifts may fly by a lot faster than if you were an introvert.

Plus, it gets you out of the house (or car) everyday. And it's much easier to tilt-call off w 104ss for 23 bigs when you can press a button in less than a sec. Not healthy at such a young age to sit in the house all day staring at a screen.

Thank you for your response I know that the only chance I have to be a pro is to become a live pro. I am an extrovert by all means. Playing online for practice is the best way for me to implement the skills I learn from watching videos and reviewing hand histories. You're completely right about getting out the house part. I don't really enjoy staring at a screen for too long.

Agree with the recent posts and that you should focus on live if you want to continue pursuing poker.

Hi everyone just have been enjoying life and playing poker. I won my first live tournament for about 2.2k have have logged in about 250hrs winning about 4K. Loving the lifestyle that I'm living. Have about 30$ on ACR so I'm going to hop in the 5nl streets cause I have time set to play because those hours are dead at the casino. I will be posting hands and graphs in here to track my progress.

I have subscribed to pokersprout and have talked to Reid Young (shootaa) he has definitely said some things to me that has changed the way I think about the game so thank you for that.

That's all for now talk to you guys soon

There you go, it's all bout the live grind for the kid.

Games online are just way too tough to try and get to the top right now. That train left the station.

Try to pull every bit of free money you can out of the casinos via any promos, free food, rakeback via points/rewards system. There's some hidden gems with this stuff and you don't want to miss out when you're just starting out and don't have a big roll. gl

well before i sleep here was a fun one.

V has been playing for about 30 hands or so. has tripled barrelled 3 times against me.

Pre: i decided to flat here for a couple reasons. 1. i can trap against his triple barrel tendency. 2. i think when you face someone who folds A lot to your 3bets and only 4bets AA then calling with hands like JJ and QQ are fine.

Flop: no need to raise

Turn; Ever a fold? i mean he could have some 2pairs like Q8 but would he really shove turn? 44 maybe? i guess having KK in this spot makes it more likely he has a value hand AQ since we don't block. weird why he shoved any ideas?

No real reads 19 hands in.

Pre Should i size bigger than .80?

Turn i decide to check QT is likely and i can play my hand more deceptively with a check. Would you bet this turn? raising at this point wouldn't make sense since i don't have that much of a raising range here.

River: KJ and J8 got there J8 does not exist here and KJ maybe is more likely but our hand strength is hidden. Only hand i would expect to lose to here is QT.

I have been working a lot and have been able to squeeze in some play at night. I only have been 1 tabling trying to focus on picking apart my opponents tendencies . I have been playing 25nl and 10nl with playing the big10 $3.3 nightly tourney which i get coolered every night. About 300ish hands of 25nl and 500ish hands of 10nl so far. Not sure what my goal of how many hands i want to play a day etc. as of now I'm working making money other than poker and studying poker using pokersprout and trying to just get better.

i will have a couple hands that i have marked in poker tracker that ill post later. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Graphs 1 tabling

Forgot to post some receipts of my tournament win. This was my 3rd time playing this daily event about 50 runners 65$ buy-in with 50$ add on. This tournament is pretty much run up a stack in early levels wait a little hope to run good late. Blinds are 20min so you know how it is. Anyways came 9th and 5th previously so glad to close it out finally a bunch of old retired guys looking to gamble so its a good time.

Here is a picture of my biggest session bought in for 80$ at 1/2 cashed out 1880$ best session by far in the career.
