I just wanna clarify as well that I am genuinely rooting for ya. If I wasn't I wouldn't waste my time commenting. It's just when you flat out ignore or make jokes of some of the more constructive advice/questions, then what might actually be dedication or commitment gets mistaken for delusion, and that's when the pisstaking starts. It's genuinely hard to tell whether or not you're joking half the time and I don't think that's how it should be when the nature of the thread is in fact quite serious. Take yourself and your goals seriously and other people will too. If this was my thread I'd be calling everyone out on their BS and fighting to preserve my integrity but you seem quite content to just let it spiral into anarchy like it's predecessors.

Also fwiw, I think where or how you're living is irrelevant, plenty of billionaires lived in their car whilst getting their business' up and running.

I'm curious, are you really living in your car or are you spending a lot of time at your GF's house? Where are you showering and stuff like that?

I spend most of my time in my car yes. doing uber from 11-9 then playing poker at night. i do shower at my girls house.

Great question. in the past i would play out of my roll a lot. what i will be doing differently is practicing BRM. like i stated before i have a roll saved up for live games when i turn 21 in may. The ACR grind is just for discipline reasons.

I think the negative feedback was primarily due to ops arrogance when he started the thread. Doing things like laughing off good advice and calling out "haters" is generally going to piss ppl off. Especially when you're terrible at poker.

OP you are ****ing ******ed, stop being a kid and grow up. I've been in your shoes for 2-3 years, from 18-20.5 years old. After those 2,5 years I realized how ****ing ******ed I was and couldn't even beat NL25 on a long run.

I can beat NL50 now 6bb/100+ (pre RB) and do you know what made a difference? Just accepting I'm not going anywhere with this ****, because my mind is not in a right state, even though I was putting in solid volume. Take a break, go work in some terrible manufactoring job or w/e to see what it means to make money + save some and go back to school. While being in school, focus on it and play poker just for fun, as a strategy game, don't be invested in it emotionally, because if you are, you are going to fail again. Look on poker as chess or w/e, a ****ing game. And with proper BR, that's what it is, a game where you can make money, if your strategy is good enough and you adapt to different opponents.

You don't have to drop out of school and **** up things at home, because of poker. You are 21 and you already destroyed some family connections I guess, since you live in a car? Just admit to yourself you are ****ing ******ed, ask your gf about honest opinion etc.. I'm sure you have friends that are 21 and finishing school, etc.. And you have nothing? Don't be ****ing stupid you piece of ****, you are 21, either you turn your life around now and fix things that you have destroyed with poker or you are going to be a hobo in few years.

For your own sake I hope your gf doesn't crack and leave you or you find out she is cheating on you, because you'd probably **** your life over even more. You know when you should go pro? When you have a steady job or just ****ing work somewhere, and beside that job make consistently for a year more in poker than in that ****ing job. That's the truth, and yes, you are going to be working 16+ hours/day for that year. This isn't golden era of poker anymore where you could **** around and make a small fortune.

I did this too but was a bit older, 24. I quit uni after I binked 6k in a 3 rebuy mtt on stars and went "pro."
I was about togo broke but luckily I met another player I used to rail all the time and he coached me to learn everything about sngs and mtts. So it's possible to succeed, but in my oppinion, you cant make it on your own.
Find someone to coach and stake you, someone who knows how to win at cash or w/e you want to play and be ready to put in serious hours, like min 8 hrs a day for the first few months.
