At first I was thinking about keeping things simple, sustainable and safe. Meaning that everything I posted on here was something I was going to be able to do was with certainty. Well **** that, nothing is certain I've already taken such a dangerous route (described below), so why would I have my mind thinking on such a simple, safe and sustainable route? I'm going to go the extra mile this year, change so much that you might as well call me a chameleon. Crushing poker, living life, while bulking up.

A bit about myself:
I'm 19 years old, 10 months ago I left my friends, family, everything I had in California to play poker full time (due to very limited winning samples). All I had was confidence, the NEED to get somewhere, the NEED to change my lifestyle along with motivation, it was all I needed to make my decision so, I dropped out of school bought a plane ticket to Cambodia and there began something special to come in the very distant future.

After studying mtt courses, I managed to make decent money in tournament poker enough to pay bills for quite a while. Afterwards with the extra money I decided to pay for coaching + cash game videos where I wanted to make the switch to, when I first started I couldn't beat 50NL and struggled to even beat 25NL because of psychological issues, playing tired, tilted and a combination of barely even knowing how to play poker. 3 Months ago I had about 700$ to my name, but now im fighting to get to 200NL and will meet the high stakes in 2013.

I also am not ashamed to say, I've broken down MULTIPLE times, almost went broke MULTIPLE times, quitting crossed my mind MULTIPLE times, but I've quit too many things in the past, I've failed too many times in life, this was the final straw. During the time where I nearly hit rock bottom I was willing to restart at the very bottom because that's what it takes to be a champion. And it was only until a couple of months ago where I began to embark on this journey of becoming a champion, before this I was a huge loser on the road to no where, approximately 2.0 average GPA in high school, going to a community college and dead broke with no one that could help me get somewhere.

Physically, I'm 6 FT tall 103lbs(46kg) which is extremely underweight (AND NO I'M NOT ANOREXIC), but this year ima seriously start picking up weight.

I also had a thread about three months ago where these changes really started to happen, I started to barely learn how to play HU cash games under the coaching from Gordon Gekko along with the help from his HUmastermind course.

I've improved my mindset so much and look at things in a different and much better way,I have a coach to work with two things I didn't have the previous year, NOTHING is going to stop me from making 2013 my "Breakthrough" year.

Drank too much so decided to only play when I was well warmed up fired up a 2 hour session and was doing awesome til two sick coolers at the end. I instant quit and said goodbye for the day.

At first I really liked it here because I felt alone and ready to conquer the world (despite living with my cousin). I didn't know him before I met him so I felt like its my time to take everything in, truthfully its hard here. A lot of people begging for food & money (5 year old kids even). Things like that get you emotionally, makes you feel more grateful for what you have.

Safety- Nope I dont know exactly how safe it is, but my cousin is paranoid to go out at night (thus I lose my freedom), I'm not allowed to go out alone because I dont drive a motorcycle+ i can't speak khmer(cambodian). So would assume its dangerous, but have YET to see anything dangerous everytime I've gone out at night, my cousin only goes out if its with multiple friends at night. So he wouldn't go out if its just me and him. He's lived here his whole life so who am I to question him.

Health- Bad, ate a fly about a week ago in my egg and I looked disgusted and my cousin just tells me "it happens".

Partys- Gotta admit, even though I don't really know how to speak khmer. Its been pretty awesome hanging with my cousin & his friends. They all speak decent english and are about 24-25 so a huge age gap but its ok we relate pretty well.

Although for the girls who speak very little to no english.. NO MATTER I'm a foreigner so i get all the bitches! Don't actually know if the main reason is because they think I have a lot of "money" or they just enjoy talking to foreigners.

Yeah pretty much the same situation here, although its somewhat safer cause I live in a major city. I remember when I was in china and there were a lot of children begging for money, it was really heart-breaking. But like you said makes one appreciate the things you have.

About the girls I think its a combination of both. Obvs money is appealing and you being a foreigner living there indicates you have at least enough for a plane ticket. But I think the fact that you are different and therefor exotic is what is really playing in your favor. Glad you are enjoying your youth haha.

I am going back to Holland in a few weeks, been here for 5 months now my visum is almost up so time too head back to the cold. No plans so far gotta see what I will do. The original "plan" was to able to play high-stakes by now but my work etiquette have been poor. Need to stop all the partying and start studying/grinding.

I've read through it quite interesting you will pick yourself back up. Starting from the very bottom (again), takes a lot of courage and a lot ofpeople don't have it in them to start from there. I'm happy for you and hope things go well for you.

. Not entirely sure, I've always been underweight my whole life. Its something I never cared for, but I've noticed that its getting pretty serious in terms of huuge difference in height and weight distribution. I had a monstrous growth spurt within these last 6 years. When I was 14 I was 4 ft 11 (I was 60 pounds at the time).

Where are you going if you're leaving PP?

This year is going by really solid right now but today I can't help but feel awful. Not my mood I feel fine, but for some reason theres something in my body that feels too anxious that isn't really allowing me to grind AND I WANT TO STOP that feeling. WHAT do I have to do to stop that feeling? I've had this feeling a little bit before I played, but I noticed I got this anxious feeling even more when I got it all in pre AQs v AQs and he flushed me out. I insta quit right now and I just want to get back to grinding but this feeling is still stuck in my stomache.

(AGAIN control is something I have I'm capable of insta quitting, the problem now is that I may have trained myself TOO well, I REALLY want to get volume in this year).

Any way I can get help with this I will return the favor (if your a microstakes player 50NL-100NL, or just someone who wants to make the switch to HU, I will coach you for 1 hour for every hour you teach me).

Tournaments MAYBE(but can't guarentee good valued information): I don't know if I have anything amazing to put out that most don't know already I was a marginal tourney player.

Based on your volume I assume you are playing 3/4 tables? Are you doing some kind of sport? When I don't workout for a few days the odds of going tilt nation increases ten-fold.

Thats in total for all week, most of the time I play 2 tables, sometimes a bit more it just depends on how much action I get. Its heads up poker. This is in total 9 hours, yesterday I had a lot of anxiety so I couldn't play because i was nervous about being able to shot take 200NL.

Today I think I am mentally prepared for it. Nope I don't do any sort of sports, I actually don't even go to the gym at this moment(im physically unhealthy) instead i save the extra 25cents that i spend at the gym and do sit ups at home .

I don't really tilt that often to be honest, and when i do i quit, but I know for a fact i have a lot of mental problems its mainly related to being nervous and winners tilt type of thing (I have a problem quitting when ahead sometimes).

EDIT: ^ THIS was a good habit initially (that I now have to BREAK). Because I was broke before, so I had to be extremely careful and very disciplined and had to quit a lot. Now that im comfortably rolled its all about getting the volume in and playing solid.
