I like Dr.Giggy

Learning target: take up time
I should take some more seconds after I had a plan before I press the mouse button. Sometimes my fingers are faster than my brain and that is expensive. So I lost about 1000 $ last week. Should be more concentrated.

Other matters
I try the evans gambit in online games. It does not happen so often but when it happens we have very interesting and thrilling games. I like this opening.

hand of the day (villain is unknown)
Should we valuebet, maybe cc for bluff induce or even cf?

I would also cc in the hand because not many worse hand would call and villain could bluff some missed draws.

Learning target: take up time
Yesterday I was a little bit on tilt so I missed all my goals. But that is ok. After a down there can just be a look ahead.

Other matters
On the 20th december another book of preston/ child with his main person "Aloisios Pendergast" will be puslished. I like this book series very much and can recommend it to everyboday. I also learned new things with the evans gambit. I like this opening and will use it when I have the chance.

Goals of the week
This week my main goal is take up time. After making a decision I should wait 2 seconds before I press the mouse button. So I can avoid fast clicks + miss clicks. I also try to contentrate on 3bets preflop + overbets postflop. In chess I will concentrate this week on the sicilian Defense.

Learning target: take up time
The last 2 days was confusing. One day was very good and the other day not. The reason was that I lost so many $. But that is ok. Good chance to improve and to learn.

Other matters
I got the 3rd Part of the Jack Reacher book series and can recommend it. Very entertaining and thrilling. I also ordered book 5 of "A Game of Thrones". In chess I learn the chess moves by heart.

hand of the day
Simply enjoy it ;-)

I am enjoying your quest, thanks for posting.

Your goal, mentioned many times, is to take time when betting.
What are the specifics?

Is it only hands that you intend to play or every hand? For example, if I have 52o in the small blind and there is action before me, I check the prefold check box. I don't intend to play it, so why make others wait?

Is it to prevent timing tells on your part?

How long do you wait? Is it a set time or do you vary it (regardless of how long it takes to make a decision). It only takes me a few seconds to make a decision (usually), especially if I am planning the hand on future streets. I occasionally will pause at a bet from an opponent when I have the nuts to make it look like I'm puzzling over what he has (which I sort of need to do in order to figure out how to extract value - is he bluffing, then call or does he have something, then raise a little or a lot)

Does hand rate figure into it? For example, say you take 10 seconds for every decision (regardless of play intention) at a 6max. That means a maximum (not counting other players time) you can play 360 hands an hour (6 hands/minute for 60 minutes). Drop it to 5 seconds, you get 720/hr.

I think its important to take some seconds for a decision. For example at least 3 seconds. Its bad to play very fast because when you have a big pot you play fast like always. People have there patterns and will follow them. For example when you thought 1 seconds for 1 action 10 times in a row and the next situation is a big pot how likeley is it that you take more than 1 second ;-)

Challenge: NL200 overcall graph

Summary
On nl200 the volume is not so big. My winrate (30BB /100 Hände) is also fine. Im very satisfied with my development. Next week nl400 will follow.

Goals of the week
This week I will concentate on making plans. The street where you should make a plan is the flop. When some cards change something we have to adapt our plan.

Other matters
1 week without poker was ok. I played a lot of chess, read some books and relaxed with my family. I like reading thriller so I ordered 10 books of Lee Child - Jack Reacher. I like this books series and can recommend it to everyone.

Learning target: plan the hand
Yesterdays I was a little bit unmoativated. So I was not good in planning the hand. Played to fast without thinking deeply.

other matters
I learned a new opening. The petrov (russian) defense. Its an interesting alternative. Im also an chess adicted person so I started to read silmans books again and will post some interesting chess positions in the future. Sometimes you will find an interesting poker hand and on the other day an interesting chess position. Lets start with chess

chess position of the day
How would you evaluate the postions of black and white. What would be the plan for white and black?

The main difference are the knight and the bishop. White should block good places for black. So b3 and a4-a5 are good. What is the best position for the white bishop. That should be e3. And the white queen should jump to b5. Both side like the open rows. So they should take their rook to control this.

Learning target: take up time
I changed my goal of the week. Plan the hand is very important. To do this you should take up enaugh time. I was not so good in doing this. I should take up enaugh time (at least 3 seconds when I want to play the hand postflop) before I make any action. Sure is sure and it saves a lot of money. To make this process automatic I use the 21 day rule. So this will be my goal for the next 21 days.

other matters
I learned a new opening. The benko (wolga) gambit. Its and an gambit that will be used when you play benoni.

hand of the day (villain is unknown)
Would you call the shove?

I played a lot of them.

goals of the week
My main goal for this week is take up time. I changed some things in my system. So will fold instantly instead of waiting for 3 seconds. I will do the same preflop when i openraise. When I decide to play a hand postflop i will take up at least 3 seconds. Autoplay is just a good when villains are very bad. Vs good players autopilot is bad.

other matters
This week I will concentrate on the alapin variation. I will also concentrate on tactical things.

I was great in taking up time. Played also fine when I got unlucky. In the future I have to pay more attention to the stats + the hands which I get shown at the showdown. I should have enaugh time for doing that. Here we go.

other matters
I will enlarge my chess opening knowledge by the french opening. I know this opening and want to learn some new moves. This should be my last opening. After that I will focus on tactical things and some positional things.

White has to move. What is your plan for white/ black? Who has the better position (and why)?
