I like your analysis

Graph of the week

Summary
Im very satisfied with the week. I was successfull with the goald "take up time" over the whole day. The were just very few moments when I played faster than normal. At the weekend I assembled the last parts in my new computer and now he is ready for some poker sessions.

Day 96 + 97

Learning target: (1) take up time + (2) board analysis
I will add another goal which is called "board analysis". I want to analyse different board structures. For example I wont bet without equity (42 on JT7). I will also check the turn and river cards and if they increase the FE. I will adapt my line to this cards.

Other matters
My new computer is running well. Its very fast. But it also freeze 3 times. I dont know why. I hope it wont be permanently and damage my pc.

hand of the day (Villain is unknown)
The turncard increase the FE. What would be your turnplan (+River)?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com/

Hero (SB) ($50)
BB ($45.56)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, J
Hero raises to $1, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $2

Flop: ($6) 3, 6, J (2 players)
BB bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50

Turn: ($17) K (2 players)
BB bets $16.50, Hero?

Day 98 + 99

Graph of the month

Total Profit: 7295,25 $ + 819,48 $ = 8114,73 $

Summary
That was the best month I ever had. Im very proud of it. Because of my new computer I had some problems with Merge. I could not import all hands so that I add a single graph. I learned a lot and my rise to NL200 was successfull. I think I will play NL400 in some days. My new computer is very fast so that I dont have any problems with any software (for example I can use PKR now).

Do you play regs or do you mainly bumhunt?

I play regs 95% of the time. And I ran across another Gordon's protege, D1sa, 4-5 times during the past month, and noticed that she never wanted to play.

not sure gordons training will matter much when pokers back
people will hunt out holes in the training and certain things every "protégé" thinks

think for yourself and read a lot on these forums

Let me frame it in an example. When you have 10 apples - 9 sweat (Fish) and 1 sour (Reg) which one would you prefer. And the lower the limits the higher the rake. So its not clever to play regs because of the rake. The highter you climb the more regs you can play. Before I was gordons student mostly I played regs. Now it depends on the limit.

Sometimes I play 9 hours, sometimes 7 hours and sometimes just 3 hours. But I try to play as much as I can.

Goals for the week
Next week I will still have the same goals (1) take up time and (2) boardanalysis. I need more time befoire I will add a 3rd goal. I will also add some new rooms and add NL400. Today I try to relax und dont play and dont focus on poker.

Oh, it's all good, I'm not judging. I was just curious due to a respectable monthly volume in the graph above.

On Nl50 we are very strict in selecting bc the rake makes it very hard to beat regs. However, i am very confident that Daniel will crush 99,9% of NL50 regs.

A fish is a player who is worse than you. That can include what most people define as "regs". Depending on how good the student develops, i tell stuff like to not mess with better players until we are better than them.

Also, if there is a huge donk on the table, don't quit that donk to push your ego.

For me the real "fish" is the person who is talking that he "could" make money only if (insert bs #1, bs#2, bs#3...).

I am sure we can set-up friendly matches. My experience is that the other party backs out 99% of the time, but we're open to challenges.

(btw, this is not a direct response to eagle)

Before I was your student I just played NL50 Regs and beat the for 10BB/100 hands. From 10 Villain 8 run, 2 try to battle with me and just 1 seems a good villain.

Learning target: (1) take up time + (2) board analysis
Yesterdays I was not satisfied with both goals. I played too fast and didn´t paid enaugh attention to this goals. Ok, I was a little bit tired but that is not excuse.

Other matters
My new computer make some problems. Once a day its freeze and I cant do anything. I hope that this wont be foreever. Kingbase (ps.de) will check my computer in the next days with some programs. I hope that will help.

Re: How to make 10k a month - Anybody can do that

Day 104 + 105

Learning target: (1) take up time + (2) board analysis
Yesterday I played much better than the days before. I took up my time and analysed the board. The days before I was too fast without deep thinking.

Other matters
In my coaching I was forced to play NL400 Regs. A lot of villain was too scared to play me and sit out instantly. Some played 10 hands and left the table. I played very aggressiv and never left a table. Here is a screenshot

hand of the day
Villain was very aggressiv preflop and weak-tight postflop. We played like a maniac (3B: 80 %, AF: 10). Would you have barrelt the river (best betsize)?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com

Hero (BB) ($528)
SB ($526)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 10, Q
SB raises to $8, Hero raises to $28, SB calls $20

Flop: ($56) J, 6, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $32, SB calls $32

Turn: ($120) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $88, SB calls $88

River: ($296) A (2 players)
Hero ?

Re: How to make 10k a month - Anybody can do that

He doesnt have much since he just calls the raise pre.
Flop is a standard float and i would now put him on one of the small pairs, maybe a weak jack... or overs... Some draw is very possible.

On the turn i believe he has something, maybe even A6 or K6 of spades.
On the river i am really in a quandry if i spelled that correctly.
I think there is a good chance he will fold to a 85-90% pot bet, and you could pick up a nice pot here against a weak-tight player...

I am not sure i would have the guts to do it, because you play well over my roll, but i think it would be a profitable move even though there are some A's in his range.

By the way, this is my 1st post after being lurking on and of for 7 years... Quite a fascinating journey you are on... But why are you living my dream? Shouldn't i be the one living my dream? :-)

Best of luck to you!

I would prefer (1) to cf because I cant make an Jx fold because we played like a crazy maniac (villain has never seen us making a crazy 3BAR bluff). Maybe (2) I would bet 1/2 Pot to make a hand like 88 fold. I will discuss this hand in my coaching and post the results soon.

You can also live this dream. Apply with gordon and start the yourney. You can do it sir.

Graph of the week

Summary
Its becoming better and better. Thats is my record week. I learn more and more. Mostly I learn by hand reviews. I also started playing NL400 and when nothing special will make any problems I will start playing NL600 at the end of this year. Here we go.

HA... Funny you should pick up on that, i just ordered heads up hero, and made a blog on BPC tonight... Havent paid yet, because i ordered that new 6Max program too, so i asked for a discount and i am waiting for their reply.

About applying with Gordon, i would if i thought i would stand a chance, but i am not among his first choices i'm sure...
Anyway, i would love to impress him with my progress first, and then apply or hire his services depending on how well i do.

U are among my inspirational sources, and made me try seriously play HUsng 1,5 10 of them today before i decided to buy.
Never felt so good with poker before, was reading my opponents like it was something i normally do.
Have never been that focused with fr or 6max.
And winning 9 out of 10 sure helps too

When you blog every day for 60 days you should apply with gordon. I did it and applied with him. Try it. Its good to hear that my blog motivate other people. Wish you gl for the future.

PS: What is your name on bpc?

Goals of the week
I will add another goal to my goals (1) take up time and (2) analyse boad structure. It will be (3) pay attention to betsizes. I used to have this goal but neglected it in the last month. I will also try to make more breaks of 5 minutes after 1 hour.

On the 09.11.2013 the chess worldchampionchip between Carlsen vs. Anand. I can recommend all chess lovers to watch it on

just wondering, how many hours do you normally play per day? Do you average >1 table bumhunting?

@Hypno, if you're looking for good HUSNG information, try HUSNG.com, they have a ton of free info. also, Gordon gekko resells a few videos from their standard vid pack for a higher price, whereas by buying the pack on HUSNG.com you pay less money and get hundreds more videos

I will keep the 60 days in mind, right now it is all about getting my game back to where it used to be, and ridding myself of some mental blocks i have.

bpc= OddOneOut

By the way i have decided against heads up and for 6Max, because Gordon recommended i went that way, and it makes a lot of sense when thinking about me coming from playing tourneys and FR.
So i am know working on getting the No Bull approach to work...

Learning target: paying attention to betsizes
I did a great job yesterday. I took up enaugh time for thinking, analysed the board structure and payed enaug attention to betsizes. When everyday is so great its much better feeling than winning 1000 $ on one day.

Other matters
The 3rd game between Anand and Carlsen was very thrilling. The positon was very interesting. In the end the game ended with a draw. Its 1.5-1.5. Who is your favourite?

hand of the day (villain is unknown)
What would be your turn + river plan (why?)?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (2 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com/

Hero (SB) ($400)
BB ($413)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K
Hero raises to $8, BB calls $4

Flop: ($16) 5, 9, J (2 players)
BB bets $16, Hero raises to $48, BB calls $32

Turn: ($112) 3 (2 players)
BB bets $96, Hero ?
