How hard can it be to beat 6 max zoom? How hard can it be to beat 6 max zoom?

Ok I'm only messing before anyone gets on their high horse!

Not so long story short, I'm a 27 year old from the UK who plays HU full time but I'm getting quite bored of that. I also had a nice finish in a live MTT I won a package to recently for just over £12k which allowed me to pay off debts I had been gradually getting paid off. I make a few k a month grinding the mid stakes, nothing spectacular but pays the bills, it's certainly a grind and even though I've got more buy ins than I will ever need I still find it quite stressful seeing all in after all in. I guess after 10-11 years of poker the entitlement feeling is stronger than ever. I will continue to grind HU to pay the bills but I've put a small amount on Stars to run up (hopefully) once I've put in my daily volume or hit my $ target for the day grinding HU.

Disclaimer, I've never played 6 max cash in my life other than the odd dabble here and there. I'm fairly sure my ranges are terrible, I've never run a sim in my life, I don't use a HUD but I believe that playing HU for so many years has allowed me to see so many flops I will have an edge there against your average player. I like to watch some 6m regs on Twitch when I get the chance but obviously I'm definitely more of a feel player than pure maths.

I started with around $160 or so in my Stars account and threw myself straight into 2/4 tabling 16nl zoom. I'll probably aggressively shot-take as I am not reliant on the money in my Stars account. I am aware that in my first session below I'm on a massive heater but what can you do when the fish are drunk?

I guess the end goal is 100/200nl, I am definitely not underestimating how hard this is going to be given when I listen to regs talk GTO I feel completely clueless and some of these are only slightly beating those stakes, but let's give it a go.

Will also update on HU/Live MTTs/general life as the thread goes on but I just wanted to get this thread started so I will have some motivation to produce better results.

GL on your challenge. I didn't know it was still possible to play HU for a living unless you were playing the nosebleeds... what site even offers HU?

Cheers. I play HU on Grosvenor (UK site)/Unibet but I'm not making mega bucks, I'm mostly just doing it because like yourself I hate the 9-5 grind, I hate working for the man, so if I can pay my bills and get an extra bit put aside for a year or 2 before starting my own business or giving me a roll for live MTTs then that's perfect. I could definitely battle the mid stakes on Stars but I don't see much point. Ego used to be everything to me and it was very costly, so now I just settle for where I'm at in the food chain.

HU is definitely dying, which is why I want to transition to 6 max if possible (or MTTs if the opportunity presents).
