Hello.

Like the title says. The above is my results for January of this year. This challenge has two requirements before embarking on 5nl.

100k Hands+
50 Stacks+

I may change the requirements once I reach 5nl (for the 10nl and so on etc.) but these are what I'm sticking to for now.

What can I say? I'm a winning player (NL/Limit/Omaha) live and I've made decent money over the years but internet poker is a different animal for me. I've made money online as well, but not near as much... I'm going to change this. Practice good bank roll management and just see how far I can go before I hit the wall.

The real challenge is that I like to gamble higher than is wise-in consideration of my BR. Online this equates to busto or robusto. Busto being busto, and robusto=a cash out. That's my pattern.

I will post results every 10k hands. I would like to achieve 100k total hands for this month or average a little less than 2800 hands each day in Feb, but we sha'll see...

During this challenge I will also be on the look out for good vids and study materials. If you have something of use for a micro-grinder, say hi, and post below.

Ok I lied.

Here is my HUD. I'm new to using a HUD, I've only had HM2 for a year so I'm new to it as well. So I'm curious how other's use their HUD. I think at the start; I over used it and read too much into the stat lines over too small a sample on villains.



I'm going to grind a short afternoon session.

I have a pretty similar HUD setup. I agree that when you don't have enough of a sample size the HUD can mislead you especially on certain stats. for instance if someone has 12% 3bet over 50 hands I don't really think much of it. But if they have 40% VPIP and 8% PFR over 50 hands, I think I have a general idea of the kind of player he/she is.

Not running well (about 5 stacks below EV) and I also misplayed some hands. I can think of three instances I got taken to value town from the session last night. My opponent in the example was playing pretty crazy so I didn't even think about shipping the kings. Should make 10k hands by this evening. I can play better and dig myself out. This hand was in the middle of my second session and put me a little off my game.

I've already seen some pretty bad stuff, but I encouraged to get to 5nl. Just have to stay the coarse. And no whining!!! lol

I'll break 10k hands tonight. 3 stacks below EV. While I know it's not a big deal, its been "interesting" watching my WR decline...

I haven't played even near perfect. And looking at my graph I'm basically break even over the last 20k hands. I think instead of playing 8 tables, I'm moving down to six; focus more etc-etc.

I had to take a 30m break after that hand. It certainly wasn't the worst beat, but at that point I was struggling.

Good thing was the break really helped. I came back and turned a -$8.00 result for the day into a less than $1 loser...

Yes its the same. I'm sure you may have some colorful notes... That's why I started this challenge, for myself...

Speaking of which I went on total unprovoked monkey tilt; today in fact. There was a hand where I shoved QJo into a made nut flush and a couple other not so great hands. I've been playing a lot and trying to push through part of that is the problem, but I've also made so progress and overall I'm feeling more comfortable-while maintaining a high volume (at least for me).

And what, may I ask sir is your handle on ACR?

Here is what I have on you, maybe it helps if you see yourself from someone else's perspective:
I have you tagged in green, which I use for "weak" players. I think you have earned this badge of honour due to high difference between VPIP/PFR. (can't check ATM, I am at work.)
Upon checking my notes on you, I found this:

Brief Review: Well I lost my mind for a bit and lost some money. So I quit and took a break as well as played less hands...

In part I have failed this challenge and at maintaining my discipline and staying at 2nl but... I'll try and finish up to 100k hands at 2nl. As well as earn 50 stacks at this level.

We made 20k hands in Feb. Making 100k total for NL2 is going to be difficult. I will try but it would be something around 3300 hand average per day the rest of the way.

Last night I played pretty well but only put in about 2k hands of NL2. I will post again when I get to 50k total hands...

Thoughts: I think my WR would pretty respectable if I didn't tilt... Of coarse who wouldn't say that?

And now for a long, not so awaited update...

My computer ate the big one. By estimate, I'm pretty close to 100k hands (probably about 20k left) at 2nl and so move to 5nl but I think I'll just post a graph and start a new thread once I get there. Or whatever... it kind of defeats the purpose if you can't post the graph and proof... duh

I also tilted a bit before the crash and got my graph below 6bb/100, while running about 20 stacks under ev...

I have a lot to work on... mostly tilt problems.. I was also fighting the tilt bug a lot yesterday...

And I'm kinda pissed to have lost a lot of hands...
