Went to the casino yesterday (+426$) and today (+52$).

Glad I ran a bunch better than usual, and ofcourse I hope this trend will continue!

Live result: -6.698$

------------------

Haven't put in much 10z volume yet. In the last few days I've been playing on an untracked site where I've - ironically - made about 900$.

I won't count this towards the online cash result, as it's not tracked.

Just came back from another casino session: had the funnest and softest table ever.
Had to leave though because I'm absolutely exhausted and I wanted to get home safely.

Session result:+466$

Live result: -6.232$

Going to take a break from live poker tomorrow and possibly play some online cash/MTTs.

Went to play live anyway. Changed tables pretty quickly but ended up at a very boring table. Everyone was just being quiet and there was not a lot of action.
I also didn't get to play many hands and ran bad overall. Feeling really meh with how the evening went.

Session result: -554$

Live result: -6.786$

IMO I don't like 1,3,4,5. 2 is fine but you could also hammer turn and river. 7 is good, he just rarely has a hand. If he does have a poorly played overpair he's calling river jam, but I'd bet more on turn, depends on opponent range/tendencies. 6 is pretty standard, it's just hard for him to be able to ever call with anything, you pretty much need him to over call 88 here or TJ. 8 is perfect.

Went to play another live cash game session, one where I ran pretty unfortunate (for a change ).

                  Session result: -500$

                  Live result: -7.286$

The day after this session I jokingly said to my gf that "the universe is telling me I should just play MTTs because there's just more money to be won there".

So I played MTTs for 4 days straight and booked some pretty deep runs:
                  4th big 11
                  6th scoop 5$ deepstack
                  14th scoop 27$ 6m

Too bad I wasn't able to close any of them out, but I'm definitely very happy with my runs. It's also pretty cool that I've FT'd a SCOOP + obv good br boost.

Update in the form of cliffnotes:
                  -Live result: -8.136$ (-850$)
-Got a new full time job, barely time to play MTTs
-Cash games tilt me to no avail, but my ego still really, REALLY wants to beat cash games

Going to do a challenge - starting today - to go from 5z to 50z using aggro 15 bi brm.
Starting with a (imaginary) cash game roll of 125$.

                  5z: take a 2 buyin 10z shot at 150$ -> move back to 5z when roll is below 130$
                  10z: take a 2 buyin 25z shot at 375$ -> move back to 10z when roll is below 325$
25z: take a 2 buyin 50z shot at 750$ -> move back down to 25z when roll is below 650$.

I'll consider the challenge over when I reached 1000$ in my cash game roll.

Biggest challenge within this cash game challenge: overcoming TILT
Might play some other poker games on the side or take a break when I'm tilting too hard.
Biggest irl challenges: mental and physical health

                  Lesgooo.

Had a really long, rough day but still managed to play 2k hands.
Not very happy about my game, 10+bb/100 should definitely be possible at these stakes.
I'm not planning on staying for that long though .

First 6k hands and I'm officially a winning player haha.

                          Small two weeks later update.

At this moment mental game is definitely my biggest leak right now when playing cash games. I Also need to learn to trust my instincts more (read: stop levelling myself).

I've spewed a great amount in 5z due to the tilt issues. However I decided I'll just move up to/start from 10z instead. Don't think it should matter too much really.

Ran like god in my first 10z session but was also happy about most of my play and more importantly about my mental game.

                          Total graph since challenge:

                          Today's 10z session:

I think you should change your approach. Since you are not playing online cash games for the money, but to get better, stop playing it at all. Just study. Buy some software, find people who are better, maybe hire a coach, go through possible situations and what you do with your range, create a strategy that is pretty solid overall.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't realize anyone knew this still existed.

However, I felt like I really wasn't enjoying the cash grind anymore and in the meanwhile I've even joined a Spin 'n Go stable.

                            Take care!
