I was walking around, because that one apartment building was not far away from my hotel, so I thought I would just go there by foot and explore the area a little bit. Google maps then led me into this alley, where at the end you could not go further. So I was going back trying to figure out another way. By that time I was already sweatin like a pig and thought maybe it's better to get a taxi. Then this taxi moved by and I was wavin at the driver, he stopped and I saw the guy in the back and thought to myself 'ok why is he stopping with one guy already in the taxi'. He opened the door and said 'come in come in, it's ok'. So I went in and as a noob farang didn't think much about it. At the moment when he started asking me about drugs, I realized that the situation was weird and this could not be common in thai taxis. On top of that, he seemed to have no clue where the apartment building was, although it was just 1,5 km away. Like I said, I instantly declined his offers, but he kept asking the whole ride. I could do blow, excstasy, speed or smoke weed right in the car. There are two options I think. One, they were undercover cops trying to catch naive farangs and ether forcing them to pay bribe money or arrest them straight away. Two, they were thugs, who would act like cops when I would have taken one of his offers, also trying to force bribe money or something like that then.

Good thing I'm not a drug addict like LastShotAtPoker, who would have probably taken every offer and would have died from an overdose right in the taxi. Haha just joking bro, that's what H0RUS prolly would think

Okay, no poker update for today. Just came home to my apartment with a tuk tuk from Khao San Road. I'm pretty wasted, but had a great night partying and for the record the first hooker has been funded. I'm in the process of achieving something big. I'm in the process of making a dream come true. This is no coincidence, that from the first hand on when I was here I was running like dog****. You will get tested to the core. This is the universes way to see if you're really serious about it or if you back down when adversity lurks behind the next corner. Gotta ride every wave to perfection.

In some moments I had these 'bad' thoughts. Do you really beat this 25z player-pool? Are you good enough for this? Maybe your game is not as good as you have thought. But then I see what these players do on a daily. What hands they play from certain positions. What hands they choose to play out of position, cold calling 3bets with other people left to act. How they chase very weak non-nut draws multiway. How they completetly ignore pot odds and equity.

And then this reminder kicks in. This is why you can actually achieve what you want to achieve. To thrive in times of adversity, this is what it's all about. Because everybody can play their A+ game, when they're on a heater. But what about when you run break-even for 50k hands or more? When all these expectations, that you build in your mind from previous run-good-times just get crushed over and over again. You reach break-even and think 'ok now come's the run-good' and boom there go 20 stacks again.

I did make some bad calls in this last session. I did curse here and there. I'm not perfect when it comes to facing this stuff. Have to let all expectations go. Even, that I'm gonna succeed in this journey here. Deep down this is what separates the wheat from the chaff.

With how much volume you play I have noticed you are always in the pool when it's suuuuper nitty so that probably ups the variance a lot (when there are like 10+ 4-tablers) , but then again you won't reach 4-5k hands a day without playing in those gross pools + the good ones.

Ok, so to balance the gto ranges of the thread a little bit more I decided to take a night off poker and have some fun.

I didn't really like it, because I read some **** here in the thai thread in the travel forum about crazy thai girlfriends. So I was a bit cold towards her, but not too much. I woke her up some time later, told her to shower and then we go outside eat something. She somehow acted really stressed out and when we we're on the way to the restaurant from yesterday and I changed the side of the street she just walked on on the other side waving shortly at me when I was in front of the restaurant. Was a little bit strange, because I liked her and basically we had a good time together but hey when a girl acts stressed out, just let her go I thought and went on to enjoy a nice vegetable thai dish from my new favourite local thai chef.

So yeah, had a good day/evening/night. Always good to socialize a litte bit when you isolate yourself so much when grinding mad hours every day.

Not sure if I'm gonna play today. I think I will just analyze some hands from the last sessions and maybe post some hands/analasys afterwards here.

So I looked into some hands from the last two days I played and gonna post some I filtered out, where I'm not 100% sure about the play. Maybe I'm confused and too results-orientated with some hands and the question of the proper play is more or less self-evident.

Villain 73/17/8 - 0,7 Agg - 30 hands

I don't think raising flop is very bad, but call might be the optimal play for pot-control with good visibility on turns in position. I don't even start to think about putting him on any range with his stats and this min3bet oop there pre. As played I think raising a bit smaller would be much better. Betting this big on the turn has the advantage of more fold equity and as played it might be the best here.

Small Session



Played only regular tables and I have to admit, they were REALLY juicy. Actually I will change to regular tables now for the most part I think. I can play around 9 tables pretty comfortably, which would give me an hourly handcount of around 500-550 hands, which is not bad and I still could get good volume in (Zoom I had around 700-750 hands per hour).

I somehow feel like the break-even run of the last ~ two weeks is over now. I just feel a little bit lighter, like something got lifted from me. Or I might be just very tired. No seriously, I have a good feeling for the next time (however long this will be).

Did not play yesterday. Went to the laundry and on the way back I went to the cook to make me some nice fried vegetables/morning glory dish. I really love it. The thing is I also started drinking beer then and some time later two dudes from brazil and india came into the place to eat and we started drinking together. So didn't really plan on doing it, but suddenly it's around 8 pm and I was already pretty drunk.

Went to some bars then, that show sports to watch the german bundesliga games, but they all just show the premier league games Okay, so went back then, had the munchies, so ate some more and kept drinking. The cook invited two thai girls then to his place and we waited for them to come. Also this lady, who owns a barbershop right next to the place joined us. Not sure tho if 'she' is really a lady. Kinda manly face and also looks like she could beat me in an arm-wrestling match.

Whatever, the girls came, but this time they were really bad at talking english, which can for some time be funny but eventually it gets pretty annoying in my opinion. Both had a pretty nice body, but just average faces. They were also pretty shy, but you know how it is with these asian chicks. Also when they tell you 'OOhhhh, you so handsome. So handsome man' , I mean it's a nice compliment and I thanked them, but they ****ing mentioned it like every two minutes. Ok, I got it now. Had good bodily contact with one of them and at some point she sat on my lap then and we started kissing. Not really making out, just some casual kisses. Was super tired then and I told them I would leave. Actually I was so tired, that I wasn't even interested in some sexy time with the girl. Told them I would leave and she came with me to bring me to my room. 'Ok' I thought 'I guess I'll be a gentleman and make her happy now', but simultaniously facepalmed myself infinitetely inside my mind. I was ****ING tired as ****. At the entrance of the apartment building we started kissing again. I pulled out the keycard to open the maindoor and get in with her but she then told me 'no no no not coming in'. And I was just like 'yessss!'. Kissed some more, but she wasn't even really good at kissing, which made me more happy that she didn't want to come inside. Wanted to message me today, but no message yet. And I hope it remains like this.

Regular tables again. Running good. Playing good. I realize now, that I was pretty much auto-piloting when playing four zoom-tables. By playing the regular ones now, it's like a new fresh approach to the game, thinking more about spots and adjusting my plays accordingly.

So I'm pretty happy right now poker-wise. Other than that my stomach still hurts a little bit.
