Bro what do you mean? Dreams are fckn awesome and you should probably look more into your own ones. Read Carl Jung or look up stuff from Jung or Jordan Peterson on Youtube regarding dreams/sub-consciousness/archetypes of the unconscious for example. This **** blows my mind.

It is another thing I'm going to concentrate on in Asia. Lucid dreaming and Out Of Body Expiriences. I'm reading "Journeys Out Of The Body" by Robert Monroe atm. This **** is real, I've already tried it and had an expirience, that I can barely describe with words.

Sounds great. Let's see where I'm at at this time.

I will have a look just because of Jordan Peterson but I am sceptic

So, yesterday was kind of a rough day and so was today:

I'm happy that I was able to minimize my losses. Finally started playing 4 Zoom tables again and it's perfectly fine. No timing out or bad-decision-making because of that. So I'm gonna stick to that from now on. It's grindtime. Going to play at least 3,5k hands every day. I was aiming at 100k hands per month for my time in Asia, but I think I can do more than that. Let's see what I am capable of in the next days and weeks and from that I have a good outlook on my grinding schedule.

So for the sake of future run-good, here is some actual run-good:

1.)

I was so tilted, when that flush turned and so suprised to then see 61% beside my hand.

Absolutetly man! When it comes to mind related stuff and different states of consciousness I'm balls deep into it. I don't exactly know how many lucid dreams I've had over the last years, I guess something like 15-20. I remember last year when I was in Thailand I had the sickest dreams. Not actually lucid, but the dreams I had there were more like super intense psychedelic trips with demon like entities. I don't know why, maybe the climate there, the sun? The OOBE I had so far, is completely different from lucid dreaming, but it is something I will investigate more and more. Had two expiriences so far, and it's absolutetely mind-boggeling to say the least.

I'm not 100% sure what really happened, but here is what I wrote down right after the expirience:

I woke up regularly and decided to try to induce the OOBE. So I laid on my back and just tried to relax the body as much as possbible, just concentrating on my breathing and my heartbeat and feeling my body not as my body but just as an energy field. So, after some time (I don't know exactly how long it took) these first hypnagogic images came and I kind of got out of them now and then and feeling my bodys energy again but already more in like a "dreamy" state. Then I suddenly was in a kind of dream where I was in my bathroom, standing in front of the mirror, shaving my beard. Suddenly I felt super dizzy in this dream, my legs got all wobbly and instantly I decided I have to lay on the ground in my bathroom. This was the moment when this super ****** sick kind of vibration kicked in and it was this moment also when I remembered trying to induce the OOBE, knowing this was just a dream and connecting the dots in my 'dream'. So at this moment I knew this must be the OOBE, that just started to happen and I instantly tried to focus my intention on a girl, that I dated recently and wanted to travel to. I imagined her, then a picture of a room I was in with her and then the town sign where she's living. I could not really focus my intent on just one thing, because this was all so ****ing intense. This feeling of vibration or energy or just sheer force I expirienced at that time, just WOW. I felt like I was in one of these gravity training machines for astronauts, you know, where they are in this capsule and it just keeps spinning and spinning faster. But to me it felt like it was carrying me at light speed, then suddenly stopping complety to zero, then accelerating to light speed instantaneously again. Throwing me around, to the left, to the right, to the front. It felt so physical, I remember being a little bit scared that I really got thrown around in my bedroom at this moment (literally like in these horror movies where the demon possesed person gets dragged up the walls and ceiling LOL). I could not really see anything, well I saw something, but I can't recall it and put it in words now. Just this sheer energy force I suddenly felt was so ****** crazy. When I think logically about it and think about what Robert Monroe talks about in his book it seems like the fact that I couldn't focus my mind on one particular thing was the problem here? First I thought about the girl just as a person, then about her room as a location, then about the town as a location...maybe that just got everything tangled up somehow? Because Monroe talks about just focussing the intent on the person we want to visit in an OOBE, nothing else. But I mean, this was so intense for me, I guess I just could not focus my mind really.

It's another expirience than lucid dreaming. As I said, this stuff is absolutely real. If you're interested check out Monroe's book. It's crazy what this guy has to tell.

So, you know these days where you've lost, but it actually doesn't feel that bad? Was already blinding out, when I got one last shot to get into the black, BUT no happy ending today.

I kind of like how variance pushes me around. It's like you're good at a certain game and you play against someone, who you would rate very good in that game also. So this person is able to push you around a lil bit, which no one else can do, so it's a kind of refreshing expirience. Haha I don't know, something like that. If that makes sense to anybody...

gg variance

I realized that poker is not just a card game to me. It's more like a spiritual practice or guru. Forcing you to accept every moment, or else it will rip your soul inside out. Being able to completely abandon that little ego with all it's attachments and expectations what should happen and what not.

When I think about that right now, I remember that great talk from Alan Watts, where he talks about, that the worst part of torture is the beginning when you're still full of attachments and expectations about the whole situation. But as it goes on, you lose all that stuff and you give in to the situation, which strangely converts the pain into something pleasure-like.

That's some deep **** and it's everywhere when you have the 'eyes' to see it. I'm sure it sounds like spiritual, esoteric crap to some people, but it's not. It's just you haven't thought about it very much. If you do it it makes perfect sense.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZXlIsXUpa4&t=9586s - 02:12:00 is the part about the torure. The whole talk is mind-blowing.

Playing in this playerpool is the utmost comedy show. 99% of the players show up with random cards. Putting somebody on a range here, good luck with that. Well what can you do. It's like PLO10z consists only of people with severe brain damage. I can literally imagine them all sitting together in this big hall room in an insane asylum.

Anyways, grinding big volume is fun and variance can kiss my ass.

I think I found a nice apartment in Bangkok. Located in Din Daeng district.

hey buddies

As you can see, the last three days have been pretty mehhhh.

Happy with my grind pace tho. Almost 20k hands in three days is not bad. I realized, that I HAVE to grind BIG numbers in order to achieve my goals. The variance you encounter in PLO is just insane, so playing 150-200k hands per month seems like a must to balance out the swings at least a bit. Played good the most part of that 20k hands, although there were little tilt moments.

I'm not perfect in that regard, but I'm getting better and better in blanking out the swings and just keep playing my game. In the past I would have gone crazy already, but now with my goal in focus I HAVE to step up my mindset.

So, go give you a little insight in my rollercoaster-ride, let's look at some 'fun' hands:

I thought about this lately. I will have to grind BIG volume, like 10-12 hours a day. So, theoretically there is not much time to hang around at the beer bar or somewhere else and joke around with the hookers. The boom-boom-grind has to be timed pretty acurate also. So, if you ask me the GTO options are escort girls. Call the escort, book one or two hours, get a legitimate 'workout' done until the dong is really sore. Let the dong recover and repeat some days later.

Escorts are perfect for that and you know what you get. I found this one beauitful girl on an escort agency site. She is ****ing hot and supposedly super into deepthroat blowjobs. Big natural tits also and kind of a beautiful, cute face for a thai girl (I'm not super into asian girls). What's up with the coloured eye lenses tho? Every girl on that agency, except the one I just mentioned, wears them and in my opinion it looks ****** ugly and weird on most of these girls. Maybe because it reminds me of my ex gf. She was wearing those bull**** lenses also and she was a fckn psycho.

So we'll see. If I catch a heater soon I might be able to grind a good escort samplesize right from the beginning. Hopefully.

nice thread man! GLGL on your journey. so you can recommend playing zoom on micros? I have just started playing PLO and use zoom 1-tabling to get hands in and still have enough time what do with every handy in certain positions/spots. Once i feel more comfortable and put in a lot of theoretical work as well my plan was to deposit on partypoker and other sites to play to get at least 30% rb which i think is quite important in this high variance game, especially on cheeseburger limits

Thanks dude!!

Depends on your own preferences. I personally enjoy playing Zoom. I enjoy the comfort, that it gives me. Instantly jumping in and out of sessions whenever I want. And I also like the dynamic of the always changing opponents. So if you enjoy these aspects of Zoom also, then play there.

Thank you Sam!

You're right, it's certainly a ****kunt move by stars, but I just don't care anymore. I wanna be punished to the max, when I'm not playing my A+ game, by not getting that juicy rakeback at the end of the grinding-rainbow. Making it on Stars Zoom in 2017 is like the NAVY SEAL Buds program of poker. But NOTHING is going to stop me at this point, not even my old, lazy, slacking self. As my old friend Lao Tzu used to say: "When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be" or "If you want to be reborn, let yourself die".

What's that SEAL saying again? "It pays to be a winner."

Moving to BKK myself in a month hit me up if you fancy a degen session/a wingman.

I play a mixture of 25 or 50 on Unibet.
