I quit playing for some time, about two years. The last I played I had a thread going on another account (which I don't remember the info) but I ended up doing what I swore I wouldn't, tilting off my roll playing blackjack...again. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've lost my roll trying to get back a buy-in or two, it's easily over 20 times. Yes, I think I have a problem, too. It's the reason I quit playing for two years.
This time though, I'm finally on medication for bipolar disorder and ADHD and it's helped even me out quite a bit, so I figured I'd give this another shot. I love the game. It'll always be a dream of mine to go pro.
So I'm starting from the bottom again. Three days ago I deposited 25$ on Ignition and jumped right into playing 5NLZ. I know 25$ wasn't much of a roll to start with, but come on, it's 5NL, it's unlikely I'm going to drop 5 buy-ins....
So for the past 3 days I've grinded as much as I could and I've put in 26 hours of mostly 2 tabling 5NLZ. After my first 10k hands I'm up 150$ and my roll is sitting at $194.../facepalm. I know, I know, the math just doesn't add up. How did I start with 25$, win 150$ and I'm sitting at 194$. Well, in one session I lost two buy-ins and did what I do, went to blackjack to get them back real quick. Got dealt an 11 and doubled down. Ended up winning the hand. I swear though, that's the last time!
Here's my graph/stats for the past three days. I know my VPIP and PFR are a bit too far apart, my 3bet% is a little low and my AF is on the passive side. But I'm just trying to exploit 5NL the best that I can think of. Or maybe I'm just a passive fish!!! Who knows
My goal for now is to build a roll to play 25NLZ (20 buy-ins) and not to play blackjack at all, even if it's just to try to win 1 buy-in back! Ignition doesn't have a 10NLZ option and the 10NL tables play soooooo slow, so it might take awhile to build up a 25NLZ roll, especially since I'll be starting my new job as a blackjack dealer on Thursday. Ironic isn't it.
But let's see where this goes! Wish me luck on not tilting off my roll...again.
