Man it's been a while since I've been around here. I have kept pretty busy between now and my last PG&C threads. I'm starting up a blog on my website www.mi6poker.com and decided that I was going to have a parallel blog back on 2+2.

One thing that will change from the past is that I won't have nearly as many cash game sessions as I used to in the old threads. I've really been focusing a lot on tournaments the past year or so. There's a bit more variance in tournaments but with that increase in variance also comes a higher hourly rate. Plus there is a ton of additional equity outside of poker that I get to experience with tournaments that I don't really have the chance to with cash.

Traveling has become one of my absolute favorite things to do. I am a little on the crazy side, I drive pretty much everywhere I go for poker. Since I'm going to be in an area usually >5 days its easier for me to just bring my vehicles. Plus its becomes quite the write-off at the end of the year with all those built up miles. There will be plenty of pictures of my trips, here are a few from this year so far.

















Putting together my website also forced me to learn how to photoshop, which has to be the biggest necessity if you're going to be posting on 2+2. Here my favorite one I've created so far.



Speaking of my website, that was one of the biggest projects I've undertook in a long long time. I'm pretty proud of everything I've put together. This thread is not going to be one long advertisement, I'll mention it every now and again, since it is part of my life.

I created an entirely new type of study material called Range Mapping. It's pretty intense and more in depth than anything out there right now. Here's just a sample of what it looks like.

Made a last minute decision to head to the Cherokee Corcuit stop. Was able to capture some pretty awesome pictures driving thru Tennessee. Here's the best one.



Hopefully I'll have some solid updates for some sweats early on in this series.

Wasn't able to get anything going in the massive $365 reentry out here. 3 bullets in and couldn't even make it past level 6, kind of how it goes sometimes. But, I was able to take a quick hike between flights. Was able to get a couple pretty cool pictures. One of the many reasons why this is one of my favorite stops, equity outside of just poker.

Cliffs...

I had all the chips (25% in play) with 11 people left. Old man ran in God mode against me and doubled thru me 3 separate times, the last one was in a suicidal call off where my range is 85% against him and I would have 40% in play with 10 left if I scooped that pot. I didn't. Got coolered last hand of the night bc of the way I played the hand.

Because of these 2 hands in the last 20 minutes of the night I went from chip lead to 8/9 to start the final table. I would finish 9th :/

This place had the weirdest, most obnoxiously colored chip set I've ever played with...green 500s made early level missclicks a big part of the tournament to start. One of my friends sits down first hand and accidently 9x 3b because he thought he was adding a 25 to the 3 bet but added a 500. The other guy thought that this was the case and decided to go with his hand for 150bbs (my buddy late regd), unfortunately for the local my buddy had AA and won. I'd say it might have been an angle/level except it was the very first hand he sat down.



When I had over 20% of the chips in play...



In order to console what was nothing less than a very disappointing finish with the amount of chips I had with 11 left I had to stop by Bogarts. Easily some of the best BBQ in the country. Being born and raised in Texas, it takes a lot for me to admit another state might have the best BBQ I've ever had. If you're in St. Louis, you have to check this place out.





In the next couple days I'll be posting a recap of my trip to Cherokee, North Carolina for the circuit stop out there.

Ahh, not quite. Still, a nice $200k+ payday. I made my prediction when there were 297 players left, so I wasn't too far off. Good job!
