$1k on a vacation. not forgetting the $1.3k a month spent on food (3 $15 fast food meals a day, lmao!), rent, bills, gifts for his gf, expensive restaurants.

i'd be stressed as **** in that situation. it's like the part of OP's brain that is supposed to signal danger has been completely shut off. he's living like he's a millionaire when he has almost no money to speak of. quite extraordinary.

feel wrath's description from the LLSNL chat thread is pretty spot on.

He’s a minor AUS celebrity at this point in his own words. What have you accomplished in life?

Very rarely. I might get $200 for Christmas or for my birthday but that's about it.

Just a heads up man.....if strangers invite you to a big game, make you feel welcome, and offer you drinks....you're probably the mark.

I'll definitely bear that in mind.

However, this game was full of people I've known for over a year and it was only a deep-stacked $1/$2 game. It wasn't like some mid to high stakes online regs bringing me to a $5/$10+ or anything.

And I can usually get a feel for how tough the table is within 15 mins of sitting down, mainly just from looking at the preflop action. If I'm the guy being bumhunted, then it's probably a table with very few limpers, lots of 3betting/4betting, very few multiway pots, etc. And I'll notice that pretty quickly.

I was referring to your last 5/10/20 session, and even more so to the losing 5/10 session you had like a month ago when you were enjoying the company because the 1/3 players were miserable.

Keeping the atm smiling and feeling welcome is a key component of live poker.

I wasn't the mark at those tables though. I was a nit. There were plenty of other loose-passives that the game revolved around.

Step 1: Worry about privacy issues when thread only has a couple thousand views

Step 2: Do face reveal when thread passes 60k views

OP, you said end of July, are you going to be in the Star on Sat 28th July daytime? I think I'm probably in that day working my OMC magic.

Top set is hard to play

$1/$3, 9-handed, $300 effective.

Hero raises $15 UTG with AA
3 callers

Flop ($58, 4ways) is A54r

Hero Cbets $35
2 callers

Turn ($154, 3ways) is A54Qr

Hero barrels $90
2 folds

I don't know if I could've done something differently here like x/called or x/raised or sized my bet differently. It's always hard getting value on a rainbow board with top set.

Don't jam. Don't spew. Don't do it.

$1/$3, 9-handed, $380 effective. Villain is a reg that is somewhat tighter than most 1/3 players, but not tight enough to fit into the nit category.

Villain limps $3 UTG
Hero raises $18 UTG+1 with 9s 9c
Fish calls $18 CO
Villain calls $18

Flop ($53, 3ways) is Ks Tc 5d

Checks around

Turn ($53, 3ways) is Ks Tc 5d 7s

Villain checks
Hero bets $35
Fish folds
Villain calls $35

River ($116, HU) is Ks Tc 5d 7s 8h
(We have about $330 behind)

Villain checks
Hero starts tanking... in my mind I'm telling myself "don't do it. Don't spew. This is 1/3. People call too much. Just take your showdown value. Don't do it."
Hero checks back
Villain shows QTo and wins.

I knew I should've overbet jammed.

I'll most likely go on Friday 27th July in the evening. But we'll see.

Hand 1 is fine, you are OOP and multiway with the nuts on a not completely dry board. Just bet.

Hand 2 meh I don't stab but whatevs seems OK.

Re. Star OK gl gl. I almost never show Friday nights but it gets frisky. Lock it up before you go and drink.

I apologise if this has been asked before, but where do you live? On your own? With your girlfriend? (its a bankroll/liferoll thing)

I live with my girlfriend and 3 other Thai people in an apartment that's about a 10 min walk away from the casino. Pretty cheap rent when you overcrowd like this, but the downside is that I can't cook between midnight and 9am because it will wake my roommates up, so I have to either cut my sessions early or pay extra to eat out more.

Why do you need to cook between midnight and 9am? What time do you start your sessions? Just eat dinner before you go to the casino and eat breakfast when you wake up.
