Meh if the norm changes that happens. It's like the average IQ is still a 100 even though I suspect actual intelligence dropped by a lot.

Well I dunno, since 2006 I always referred to NL25 and below as micro stakes, NL50-NL100 as low stakes, NL200-NL600 as midstakes, NL1k-NL5k as high stakes and anything above nosebleeds

I don't think it matters much anyway what we call it lol

It's like a tax return. It always was your money but still you're happy to get it.

It matters to OP, because he wants to feel like a big boy with his positive win rate at "high stakes" over his <1000 hand sample.

I love all the discussions on normal poker terms with vaguely nebulous definitions.

The previous discussion a few pages back on coolers vs suck outs was great.

OP don't you think you can get a new loan by the CEO guy?
All you need is 10BIs for 5/10. Games are super soft.

So 6 made 15k in 6 months as a poker pro and 3k of it went to you. Damn!

Btw, I think that’s a great return for you, but also a very fair one for the risk you took.

The 5/10 hasn't been running lately. I think it's because all the high stakes Melbourne regs are in Sydney now. So the highest games that have been running lately have just been 2/5 NL and 1/3 PLO.

I doubt he would loan me money anyway. He has his own vices that are quite expensive to maintain...

I trapped by Cbetting small on the flop then checking the turn.

An average LLSNL reg would just bet 80% pot on the flop, turn and river without thinking.

That’s silly. The money required to stake/loan you is trivial to any financially successful person. The only reason he wouldn’t loan you money is because he doesn’t want to loan you money.

Why do you think your line was more profitable here?
