Hello guys,

I am a 29 years old employee from germany. And i want to track my personal results in the streets of PLO.

I brought the PLO Mastermind for 1 year at Black Friday, and want to challenge my self in the PLO streets. Total new to the game of PLO -> was playing NL for 2years up to NL50 but i hadnīt much drive for NL. For me PLO is a lot more charmed.

Personal Challenge beat the R&C stakes from PLO10 up to PLO100.

Currently playing R&C PLO10, only 20k hands so far and slightly loosing -> with rakeback Breakeven.

Now I start with the first episodes of the course and try my best finding patterns in the PLO Trainer.

I donīt know yet how often i will update this post here. Put when I update I will post some hands and wanna recap what I have learned since my last update. Donīt want to post any graphs yet, maybe when i "completed" one Stake I will post on all time graph for the stake

see you guyīs

Always remember to fold most Axxx and paired hands vs tight 3bettors.

Short update from the week.

This week I learned a lot about Preflop RFI and 3b/cold calling. Itīs pretty interesting how much change when the rake is just absurd high.

TIGHT is RIGHT.

Started this challenge now with PLO5 R&C just to get some feeling and try to apply something from the new thinks.

Also nice to get a 100c$ bonus from GG -> thats pushes the BR quite a lot.

Itīs crazy how the EV of some hands change if you have an nut/high suit or just the low suit. Sometimes the ev of the nutsuit is 4/5times higher then with the low suit.

On the table it was an okayisch week ( +3 buy ins )

BR on GG: 851€ ( without the 100c$ bonus )

See you guys soon, will try to find some hands to post over the week

Rake is definitely going to be issue at these stakes so you're right, definitely need to play tighter than normal. Depending on your long term goals, I would try to move up to where the rake is more reasonable asap. Nothing wrong with playing stakes these low while you're still getting comfortable though.

I was surprised by this too - shows how important it is to be drawing to the nuts. It's always interesting to see how your assumptions compare to the solver. Gl at the tables this week.

unlucky turn ?

https://gg.gl/71mqo

should be fine to call once even if the range is mainly AAxx. So if the turn pairs most of the time my 2p outs are not alive -> easy fold ?

Yeah should move up really fast, but I hat playing aggressiv BRM -> mental not that strong, maybe it will change in the near future. But this is one of my big leaks.

First hand, pot turn - we don't really have a 75% sizing here. This looks like a low frequency bet though, this hand checks 91% of the time. When we have a 5 we're doing this at a pretty high frequency. So I would keep that in mind - it might be ok just to never do this with a 4. River is good. Wp

Second hand, yeah I think that's pretty unlucky - not sure what villain is doing here.

Third hand, I think you're right - can't continue here not picking up equity. Paired turn kind of sucks.

Update #3

Great week money wise, more in the end

This week i watched the last videos from "Crushing Small Stakes PLO (for Preflop), Preflop is just so an important street in PLO, with the Right hands on the flop you often have an easier life then with some random hands (who look nice but are actually crap)

Lerang 3b BTN vs EP -> Broadway Pairs -> Double Suited basiclly never a fold and the most of them are flat calls only if we have an Ace, we can nearly always 3bet.
again the Ace is an very important card have.

Br last week: 851€

Girlfriend went to some friends on Saturday and I thought about playing 2 Tourney on ACR ( Freetickets) and added 1 PLO Tourney on gg Poker. Didnīt get any bounty and got short (7/7) on the FT, but somehow i got 2. for 229$ <3

First PLO Tourney and the rungood was with me.

Also got the 100$ Reload Bonus.

Br: 1182,04€ and 28,71C€ = 1210,75€

Still playing PLO5 -> want to have at least 20k hands winning on R&C PLO5 then try to shot some buy ins at the PLO10 Pool

See you guys

Update #4

Here we are again. Stopped playing PLO5 R&C.

Just saw an insane video, which basically told me to move up as fast as possible to PLO50 -> because the Rake and Rakecap are so high at these small stakes. Now i try to move up fast to PLO50, with an more of aggressiv BRM.

Played PLO10 R&C, and Cashed some money out. Feeling confident in the Pool, but only played about 4k hands (-5 buy ins).

What I have learned:

- BTN vs BB SRP
- mainly on A high boards -> how to play strong Value hands. Why do we sometimes check Sets.
- Today I started with Broadway Boards ( same Positions )

Future for this Week.

- Play PLO10 -> Until Roll hits 1250$ (with Rakeback and bonuses) -> then 250$ shot take on PLO25
- Learning more Concepts for Broadway Boards.
- Learning how To play Medium/Low Wet Boards.

Changed also my Playing and Study time -> because the Pool is way better in the evening than in the early morning. Only nits and some Rec online at this time. That should also push my EV a little bit.

Hands will follow for this week. At least 3 Hands.

BR: 1064,26€ + 8,89€ = 1073,15€

about 15 Stacks to go on PLO10 -> or Some Rakeback.

GL for everyone and Happy X-Mas

Hey thanks for the sub.

the video was on the PLO Mastermind (paid version). From one of the Coaches, he told a story "how he went from PLO50 to PLO2k". And he showed alot with rake and rakeback.

X-Mas is over now the time is back for Poker Wasnīt able to do much last week, Girlfriend and I got covid. But luckily we were healthy at X-Mas.

Did some study on SRP BTN vs BB IP. -> will do this week that spot agian. Just du get an better understanding.

- Learnd concepts for Broadway Flops and Mid/Low Wet Boards.

This week I will learn something about Dry Straight Flops and Paired Flops.

Did play some hands ( mainly yesterday ).

Feel still very comfortable at the PLO10 Pool.

BR: 1118,84€ -> 13 Stacks to go until shot for PLO25 <3

Update #6 Yearly Recap

I started this thread about 1 Month ago, where i brought the PLO Mastermind. Didnīt had any goal for the December 2023. Just wanted to learn the game of PLO and try to get into the winning streets.
Started with 850€ and on PLO5 R&C, and now I am at 1170€ and playing R&C10.

Learned a lot about Preflop Ranges and in the last weeks I looked a lot into BTN vs BB SRP IP. Today I will cover the last section of BTN vs BB SRP IP ( Paired Flops).

Here are the graph from Last Year since i got the Mastermind.

Happy with the Results since 1 Month ago i was a total fish at this game, and now I am at least Breakeven, slithly winning without Rakeback and good winning with Rakeback.

Goals for 2024

- My main goals for 2024 is to take the maximun out of the PLO Mastermind.
- Want to get at least to PLO50 -> maybe 100 is also possible.
- Keep my schedule
- waking up at 5 am -> Monday till Friday
- study from 5:30am till 6:45am
- work (fulltime)
- Playing / review Hands from 4:30pm till 6:30pm

- On weekends different schedule: Sleep at least 8 Hours, no fix time for study and play, but do at least 1,5hours Study and 1,5hours of playing.

Bankroll on GG: 1169,78€ -> So 8 Stacks till i will shottake PLO25

Last but not least: I played the 54$ PLO Winterseries and got to Day2 which is on Sunday. Wish me luck guys

#Update 7

Hello everybody. First week of the year 2024 is over. Hopefully everyone had a great start.

Poker wise

- Played PLO10 R&C
- Studied the last SRP IP Flops ( Paired Flops ) now i need to start learning how to play
turn ( e.g when turn completes a Flush / or board gets paired )

Biggest thing over the year Yet -> I have a big enough Bankroll to shot take PLO25 R&C

To doīs for the following week.

- Learn different turn types in SRP IP (BTN vs BB)
- play PLO25
- do at least 100 hands/day in the PLO trainer (SRP BTN vs BB Flop play), just to apply the learning from the last weeks.
- Post at least two times some hands here on this thread

Life

Back at work after two Weeks of holiday. Now I have an real schedule again. Study in the morning before work and playing in the evening after work. Pool is way softer in the evening, so it should boost my winrate a little bit.

Need to some stretching, feeling old, an mit Neck and back starts to hurt.

Most important:

My exact Bankroll on ggPoker: 1.305,54€

Just enough to shot 10buyins on PLO25.

Just crazy how my journey started 7 weeks ago on the PLO Mastermind with PLO5, and know I am able to shot take PLO25. Crazy how much I have learned about the game, and there is so much more to learn.

Have a good week Guys <3

#Update 8

First of all. The PLO25 shot didnīt went well, got back to 1001,26€ in my GG Account. Now i need to go back into study and grinding PLO10 until 1250€ for the next shot.

Was a quite tough week in the streets, really bad run at the higher stake and didnīt play my A-Game. Probably because of my mindest. More money is always a problem. Try to fix this with some mental videos from the mastermind.

Started to look at turn/river transitions on SRP BTN vs BB IP. There I learned a lot about turn sizings. (Donking, Double barreling, delay C-betting)

Want to go over this again this week, and also watch some play and explain about these spots.

To dos for this week

- Turn/River plays IP SRP BTN vs BB
- play and Explain for these Spots
- play PLO10 -> atleast 5k hands
- get better at paired Boards -> from Student to "Skilled"

Goals for the near future

- get everything to "PRO" level in GTO world -> C-betting SRP BTN vs BB IP (when BB checks)
-Start to learn 3-bet Pots ( especially SB vs BTN / BTN vs CO )

Did at least a little bit of improvment on my "scoreboard" -> had no time for the paired boards, need to do it this week

So yeah, little bit of set back but the next shot will come in the future. Still a lot to learn

donīt know if flop is a bet or we should check, after his raise i think we canīt get it in because of his monster draws (SD+FD) only hand we are good against are naked JJ. Turn unsure but on a blank turn i think it should be fine to get in in. Get the max from is Draws and JJ.

Since my PLO25 shot i think a improved a lot -> just saw how some player where playing there ( "the regs" ) and know i looked it up in the solvers and see how important blockers are!

#Update 9

New Week, New Luck.

The week was very interesting theorie wise, but pretty boring on the grind.

Learnd something about 3bet pots and aggression. On A-high boards we have such an advantage, since OOP shouldnīt really have AAxx -> that we can bet a lot in this spot. Didnīt know that but when you think about it, it makes sense.

On SRP I need to watch the last 2 episodes Play And Explain -> will watch one later on toady. Then I should be fine to have an good (not perfect) understanding to play these Spot. Will move on to the 3bet pots IP and OOP to get an overview there. ( Still do hands for SRP IP just to repeat everything).

My Baseline on 3bets is pretty bad -> only about 55% of GTO -> so try to pump it up, same as with SRP IP.

Funny Hand from Yesterday:

https://gg.gl/llp3y

wasnīt sure about river, with this stacksize -> but funny that turn was still a value bet.

BR on GGpoker: 993,63€ little bit down but nothing to dramatic. Keep Studying and the results will come over time.

See you guys <3

New Stuff learned but still feeling like a total noob ingame. Itīs quite hard for me to do multi tableing in the Rush&Cash Pools. Sticked to one Tableing for the last two weeks, which was pretty good
for me.

Qualitiy > Quantity

I feel quite confident in SRP IP and 3bet Pot IP. Still a lot to learn but the Skill level improved a lot i belive.

Started to do more Preflop Stuff, since i was a Nit and want to start getting more aggressiv Pre and Postflop.

Stats where at 16/12/3 now i want to get them at least a little bit up. I will see the difference in then near Future.

I will post some graphs soon.

Thats it for today if anyone has some questions and wants more details just let me know

Man that is way too tight. I know it is not always nice to 3b aces but you you aces roughly 6% of the time so that fact your 3b% is this low really needs to get up there. Ideally you should be playing something like 27/19/7
