I'm Dante, a 21 year old Aussie. I started playing poker for cash when I turned 18 at the casino and played live cash professionally from late 2016 to mid 2018 while I studied (and still do study) full time. Starting at 2/5 I moved up to playing a daily private 10/20 game.

This home game went very South with the management and I transitioned to playing 200z on Ignition where I played for around 40k hands winning between 4-6bb/100.

Due to me being an idiot, I've lost basically my entire life roll in Crypto and and spent the rest on various life expenses that all occurred at the same time and I've had to return to "normal" work.

I want to be back into the poker game fully, but this time I'm playing it as safe as I can in terms of Bankroll management. Due to me being a degen idiot, I need some sort of thing to keep me accountable for discipline so that I don't shot take and randomly jump from 25z to 2knl one afternoon. Also discipline for actually playing daily and not being lazy with my time.

I'll try to update my bankroll progress as well as reflection and study points every second day (more/less depending on volume played). Aiming to play 5 days a week for 3hrs a day.

Current bankroll is at 2.4k and playing 25z @9bb/100. Will look move up to 50z at 3.5k and 200z at 10k. Not sure about playing 100nl reg speed, will decide at 6k if I want to try it (ignition zone poker is only offered at 25, 50 and 200, there's no 100z).

I'll also stream the majority of my sessions and try to explore my strategy more doing so, and hopefully through this documentation of my journey here and on twitch I can stay disciplined with my bankroll and just as importantly, disciplined with the hours that I put into playing the game.

Gl bud, good idea to gtfo Treasury tbh, that place is the biggest soul drain. You had any thoughts wrt playing on Chinese apps instead of IGN?

Gl dude. You got a good stream going so poker+stream should be a good motivation for you to get back on track.

Treasury is a mind numbing place to play for sure. I haven't really looked into Chinese apps much at all, for me security is probably the biggest factor and also since my roll is very small and I want to play with strict BRM now I can't play the bigger games that I assume run on these apps.

I might look into them more as I build my roll further. I also enjoy the streaming aspect which is easy via Ignition, but I assume would still be doable with the apps.

Finished first day since making this thread. I think I noticed a few new people in the stream, I'm assuming that some of you guys came in and checked it out. Ended slightly less than even after 3 hours, playing 2 tables of 25z and 2 tables of 25nl.

Nothing too notable during the sesssion, although I did flop my daily requirement of quads

I want to add, that I think my biggest leak right now is reddit. Multi tasking reddit and poker and streaming all at once is killing my winrate for sure. I need to find a way to address this issue.

Solution for me was to just put phone in other room, also it should be fairly easy to do the same by just not visiting the website? I just recently banned myself from 2+2 during sessions and it's been easy enough to ignore.

Reddit is better than what I did before. I banned myself from the Ignition casino now, but previously I was multi tabling poker and slots/baccarat on the side, that was truly a low point lol

But yeah, maybe there is a program that can disable my Google chrome or certain websites during the hours that I'm playing poker

There is actually, it's called a hosts file. You can edit it to redirect you off of certain sites.

Pretty bad day, not so much by results but by my play. Played really distracted today, watching video's and hardly paying attention. Stopped my session short once I realised.

I'm playing in a pppoker club atm which seems really soft, will see what results I get from it. Tomorrow I'll try to be focused and stream 25z and play on the club at the same time and actually put in a long session.

Ended up beating the Pppoker game pretty solidly at 60nl winning like 350, unfortunately it coincided with me losing at ignition with the ignition roll now sitting at 2250 (start of this thread it was 2400).

Will be back at it again tomorrow. Really trying to be disciplined.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I've always been really bad at single task focus or if I've gotten progressively worse throughout time. I don't remember being as bad as I am now in the past. These days I'm always doing minimum 2 things at once that are unrelated and it's killing productivity in every area I'm sure.

Well, final day of play for this week. Finished today up a buyin at the 25z, got wiped out in the pppoker app. Some hilarious hands in hindsight, a few somewhat unreal decisions from my opponents with their calls and a bit of run bad during allins.

Fairly sure that my plays were printing money vs the ignition field, I need to adjust better to the field in the pppoker club, they are absolute calling machines, the 3 barrel bluffs were getting called by bottom pair and ****, was crazy, and the few value hands I had were pretty brutal coolers, but that's fine. I'm certain in my edge vs both these fields of players and I'll be back at them next week.

Unluggy day, back at it chap!

Very odd day of playing...not sure how to describe my mental state.
You know that feeling when you play a session on total auto pilot? It wasn't that, but it definitely wasn't me thinking through things either.

I have different playstyles for different games, and different approaches, and it was as if for some reason I couldn't integrate them together today. Every play of mine seemed very jarring and I couldn't rationalise why I was making it. One of the strangest play days I've had.

Ended down a bit on iggy and even on the pppoker club. I deffinately gave up a lot of redline on Iggy, I'm sure of that. I need to do something to fix this mind state before I play again tomorrow.

Just gonna rename this thread as "Journey back to 5nl" with the way my week on Iggy has gone lol

I'm convinced that I just ran hot for 2 years straight playing live poker and the 50k hands I had at 200z where I was winning. Now it's all come back to get me, I can not even beat the micro's r.i.p

Still beating the 25z but jesus, not for much longer if this keeps up
