To all the doubters that didn't think it was possible to do >10 EVBB/100 in a month: ( http://bildr.no/view/USsyTkpv )

I made it, so now I can go play z100! Nah, just kidding.. about 99k more hands to go until I can start bragging! Nice with a good start though..

By the way I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me wtf I do wrong when trying to insert images.. I go advanced mode, click the insert image button and copy paste the link, never works though! Thanks

Hey SportsTrader2k,

You can actually email Stars and ask for your hand histories. This may sound unbelievable, but they keep all hand histories back to 2008. I was in your situation, where I didn't back up my database and my hard drive died (2011). Anyways, I emailed stars recently and they sent me like 20 emails with zipped hand histories! Its was an amazing feeling being able to get them all back haha.

Thanks for the advice, jduyon! I can't quite decide if I want to use 7-12 months old HUD stats for z100 though, but I guess I should at least get the hands!

Pretty bummed that I have to get to work now.. 2.5k hands evBB 21/100 so far. Can't wait to get home and grind again tonight. Late start tomorrow and Sunday which is nice!

I use this website when inserting images: https://imgsafe.org/

Once you have the url, use the "Insert image" function and paste the URL into that, should work

Wowzer, worked! <3 Clanty!

As you can see I'm still luckboxing/running like God. Pretty nice start to the month considering I had a lot of sleep to catch up on, and a very long 10 hour work day. Trial by fire here, no messing around! Just compile about 100 markets after watching it for 8 hours, rough!

If anyone wants to lay me a price on me to make 10 EV BB/100 in >100k hands in July I might be interested. Otherwise give me a o/u line with even money in terms of bb/100. I have to warn you that my plan is to run even better than last month, or just as good and just play slightly better with not being drunk so much... :-)

I only have about 7 hours work tomorrow, and I start late, so hopefully I'll get about 5k hands in before and 3-5k hands in after work. Let's goooooooo!

I would be willing to bet good money against it, depends on odds.

but that being said, decent start and definitely increase that volume and gl!

How many hands do you manage hourly (on how many tables)?
I find myself playing 600-700 hands playing on 4 tables, but I profile people a lot.

3/1 on >10 or even money that I'll manage to repeat June and do >7ev bb?

I play 4 tables and unless I'm watching sports / chatting to people on the same computer I play between 1100-1200 hands per hour. Avg would probably be 1k per hour with breaks etc included. Not so good at this profiling stuff... ;-)

Please tell more about the sports trading - are you a layer? Do you gamble or trade?

I wish I was a layer. I never had the discipline to build a big enough bankroll to make "enough" money betting sports. I always made more playing poker, so even though I have beaten various sports in huge limit markets where the possibilities are endless I have always gone back to poker because the hourly in betting is not great unless you have big $6 digit bankrolls. The last few years I have beaten betting golf on Pinny/Betfair.. With fresh accounts on all the UK bookies it's extremely easy, but getting new accounts all the time takes too damn much time, so I decided that I wanted to be good enough to beat BF/Pinny where you don't get limited.

Right now my bets are not as big as I'd like them to be, but I still make a decent ROI. The good thing is that working as a golf compiler/trader now I have access to so much more information and numbers/models that I will get a lot better, and making money doing this should be easy in the future. The numbers with my input are pretty much always 0.10-0.30 slash from the opening numbers Pinny post on Tuesdays. Getting a positive post on BF is also easy, but would be a lot easier with roll to lay the 100/1 shots etc. Once I get a 6 digit roll again I'll start laying and trading on BF :-)

Cheers

i usually don't post negative comments in those thread but let met get this straight.

100k hands while working 45 hours/week or more.
10bb/100 at 50z with the huge rake?

at 8bb/100 (or even 6!) i think the reg who insulted you would have understand you'r not a fish. anyways can we bet you won't do 100k hands at 6ev bb/100?

Laying these is the path to bankruptcy - picking up coins in front of the steamroller.

I backed a 220 outsider on BF once for £30, and it won. Imagine if you were that layer.

True Jalfrezi, but if you have the BR to trade the entire market and good enough/have good enough models/data you should be able to have green numbers on most players before the off, and only risk on a few. You don't have to be laying the 200/1++, but if you can even predict how the prices will change on everyone from even to 50/1 and trade them well you will end up in a good position. I never have a week without "green" cashout numbers on Betfair when the tournament starts. And it's a lot easier to predict which players will DRIFT rather than which players will shorten up, especially since there are not that many that do shorten up each week.

Sure, if you're trading that's a different kettle of fish. I do the same at international football (soccer) tournaments and usually get a green book but they only come round every two years

Haha, must be nice to make money on these useless football tournaments... :-)

Finishing up a long day as we speak... 9k hands + 7 hours or so work. Today was hard going until the very last session. I haven't played my best the last 3 days, and I need to stop thinking about winrates and refreshing my HEM each time I win a hand! I don't think I make too many different choices, but I am slightly struggling finding the right intensity level at the moment. I know what it takes to get to 5bb/100, I might be trying to push too much edge to get to 10.

So far so good though, but 87k damn hands to go! Even though I still consider myself a dog for 10 ev bb I still think 6-8 is realistic and I am still waiting for bets if there are any takers

Might have to do a few more hands since games seems good and I don't really have to be up for another 8 hours, so I guess I'll keep going for a bit longer.

First it was because I was just getting back to poker after a long break, no DB etc. and 100z is a lot tougher than 50z, so decided to do 100k hands with >5bb/100 to see that I still got it. Then I decided to see if I can do another 100k hands with a truly sick WR, or if it was just a fluke!

My hourly on 100z wont be that much higher now that RB is only 28% anyways (if any if I can keep 6-10bb/100). Life is also a lot easier on z50, and I don't even wanna think about the big pots I can lose on z100 :-) Want a bigger BR first anyways.. Another 100k hands on z50 with a good WR and I'll move up.

Cheers guys!

I had a bad morning at the poker tables distracted by finale day on the golf in 3 tournaments, Wimbledon and generally a bit too tired today, so only played 2 hours or so... I was gonna try to do the 100k hands in 2 weeks, but I realize that might be a bit too much when I'm working full-time unfortunately! 100-150k hands per month is good enough.

Turns out I won really good on both tournaments today, so continuing to play z50 seems like a hard project right now!! The numbers I am getting from our tools are too amazing, so I am really stoked about the future. I'll keep going when I get back from pricing the next weeks' tournaments tomorrow evening though!

I'm working again in 9 1/2 hours, but I only had 2 beers left in my fridge, so I think I need to walk outside and get a proper drink or two and have a small celebration on my own. DJ & Jaidee <3

Cheers!

Thanks, Clanty!

Soo... I'm still running good which is nice, and after a slump after playing badly on Sunday and dropping to 6bb/100 for the month I've had a nice day even though I was ****ing hungover all day after working 8 hours yesterday followed by a nice night out with a bunch of traders for a couple of companies. I got wasted as usual and some chick started hitting on me while I was talking to a different one on Tinder, and she ended up telling me that she was going to the bathroom in the Casino we all went to when it got late, and that I should join her (brag). For a reason I really can't remember I was stupid enough not to join, not a slut anymore

I finally got to do grocery store shopping, so now I have toilet paper, vitamines, shower gel & shampoo, and some food that's not chocolate or crisps in the fridge, so life was already looking up after a lunch and a couple of beers. My hangover kinda stopped after a nap around 5pm, so I've been grinding the last 3-4 hours on and off. I had to write my picks for the site I write picks for as well, so that took 2 hours or so! Results have been great, and now I'm considering going to the casino to play live poker, go out and get drunk again, or continue grinding online. Hard choices!!

I still feel like I'm not quite on my a-game, and I'm too distracted while playing, so a few times I'm like "wtf happened pre flop here?", which is not great! I might be a bit too hard on myself though, because it's not exactly like it's going badly...

Only Kafrinius trying single-handedly to keep me under 10bb/100....

One time hook up with this tinder chick this week, she's ****ing hot and it's the first time I've tried Tinder (figured I had to since I don't know anyone here!!)

Cheers guys!
