Finally got my poker you tube channel in operation and have my first hour long session review - first video ever - processing on you tube.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClL...uZf0w2V_FEyvFg

Check it out. Designed to have playlists from all limits to discuss hands from both myself and from sweat/coach sessions of other players.\\

*running into technical problems it says my video is too long!*

First video session review of 10NL!

It's great to see how many mistakes I am making even in smaller pots. Gotta fix this ASAP.

2nd part of my first HM2 10NL session hand review.

The last 17 hands out of 37 hands which were chosen from the 1650 hand session for all hands over 20bb's.

Been going down down down...playing a bit tilted tonight I think, started getting super laggy but not out of control laggy. Running about 36/30 on the tables tonight, KK vs AA, had really nice flops vs massive fish that were extremely passive, but getting raised on the turn and being shoved on rivers after they show no aggression...(yes I was folding each time because the situation pretty much dictates it vs very passive fish...) kind of tilting me. Then I made a terrible bluff after shutting down my "let's think about this" part of my brain.

Basically I played my B game tonight. Perhaps even the first time I played my C game.

I said I was not going to play 6 max for 15 days, and I broke that "rule" - So now I'm dead serious about it and only going to play 10NL Heads up and do more session review videos.

Bankroll at $287.

Also I might go into a more conservative bankroll management, this swingy bankroll stuff I think is kind of annoying me lol

Bankroll was at $1700 directly before that top pair vs mid pair $400 cold shove from the ATM, and then it all went downhill from there.

All is not lost though because in the past 25 days I have regained everything I once knew and my game is better than ever.

Going to make a compromise, I will only play 2 hours a day. This session says 2:22 but it took me a while to get the tables started.

I will play 4 6 max and 2 full ring to make it slightly easier than playing 6 at 6 max.

Good day, up 6 BI's in just 1000 hands. Playing 25NL starting with a $280 bankroll. Super fish today, and I am playing my A+ game once again.

First day of training tonight for the new restaurant, the menu is so sick.

$55 short rib osso bucco

$57 dry aged new york strip

$16 lobster bisque soup

Amazing food, high prices, wine lists - I feel like I'll be making great money at this place, my first fine dining endeavor.

Ahaha, what's up man, yes you surely will - if you look back a few days, my bankroll was actually at $1700!

It was at $280 earlier today

Taking a nice break from poker still - can't even think about playing because this restaurant training is now getting more in depth and serious.

Had a wine tasting and food tasting last night - Opened up 8 bottles of wine - A $96 bottle of champagne that just completely made me realize how poor I was - Such powerful play in the mouth, it woke everyone up - Huge, deep flavor, green apple, and you could literally feel it on your tongue minutes after you finished the sip. I mean wow. Talk about chewy and buttery finish.

Pinot Noir that was the most lush, deep, complex red I've had yet. Followed up by a medium bodied Merlot that was actually even more rich and deep. Then by a Cabernet that was like the Pinot Noir but injected with steroids.

Had a fun, clean crisp Rose, then a more rich, buttery medium bodied Rose which I absolutely loved.

The owner says he isn't going to have any "table wines" - That every wine is picked for it's personality and ability to pair with food - Only a few bottles in the $30 and $40 range, most in the $50 to $80 range and many will be $80+.

Calamari was buttery, velvety, not crisp or 'fried' feel you get - perfectly cooked, melts in your mouth - Not chewy at all - Spicy romanesco that wasn't really needed as the bread coating was already so rich in flavor.

This all makes me realize that I need to try harder to be the best server there - The money is going to be incredible for someone like me who never graduated university or decided to climb the corporate ladders.

Thanks! Also I think I used the word 'buttery' too many times, but a better word to sub I think is velvety - It's a texture, feel in the mouth, not so much as the flavor of butter. But overall, more mature wines especially if they are aged in wood barrels are going to have a nice creamy feel like a 2% milk. Love it!

lol I'm not sure this place would have hired someone as a server if they don't at least have that basic of rudimentary knowledge about wines

Back from the dead here, resurrecting this thread - I didn't give it up or stop!

Updates, I finished training at this super fine dining restaurant, owner turned out to be a bit cuckoo and fired me - All the other managers tried to stop him but he get's what he wants - 3 managers gave referrals to me, but I needed a job so badly I applied as a server at carraba's, a place I knew I would get hired immediately with my resume - hired within 5 minutes of the interview.

I need a reset for this new year.

Got a roommate move in today to help pay the rent.

Played 2 hours of 2NL today just to get back into the swing of checking out the HUD and making ABC decisions.

So I'm officially back at it, and I'm going to change my bankroll management here to be a bit more conservative - Upon reflecting, my original management was too aggressive and I can't handle it mentally. Thought it would be a fun project but I can't take the stress of the swingy bankrolls even if it's "just" 10NL or 25NL, etc.

Happy holidays, Happy New Year to everyone!

Update, highest bankroll was $1700, I am at $300 now - Huge swing, I soared into the heavens then a volcano blew up and singed my wings and I plummeted deep into the ocean...gasping for air as I avoided the shark infested waters.........

All in less than 30 days and 30,000 hands at the start of the challenge. Big ride to say the least.

New Bankroll management:

Start 25NL at $500, take 2 shots. Get back to $500, take 2 more shots. Rinse and repeat.

Start 50NL at $1000, take 2 shots. $900-$1100, take 2 more shots. $1000-$1200, take 2 more shots, etc.

Start 100NL at $2000. Take one shot mixing a table in with 50NL, $2200, 2 tables 100NL and 3 50NL, $2500, 4 tables 100NL. (something close to this at least.)

I'll do 6 tables up until 100NL where I'll switch to 4 for a while until I adjust and show a nice EV.

Around $4000 I'll plan on taking 200NL shots.

I'm planning on playing 2 days a week 7 hours a day in 2 sessions. (3.5 hour sessions are my max for online, I might even go to 3 hours if I see myself slacking during the 2nd sessions...)

4 days a week I will only play 2 hours but do 2 hours of session review from the previous days.

I will focus a lot more on doing session replay videos to analyze my game and micro manage all my bet sizings, line decisions, etc to really push my game to the next level.

I'll play 2NL for a few more days to adjust then get back into 6 tabling at 10NL.

Still in. Was wondering when the return would be. PM me if you need help. I'm playing 100nl full time now.

That's my new pg&c now if you want to follow.

Glad to hear your taking the steps in the right directions to reach your goal. I noticed even 20 BI rule was a little aggressive for me and ended up doing 30. Hope it all works out.

Nice to hear someone has made it :P

December 29th, starting bankroll at $303 (won a few dollars at 2NL yesterday)

I purged my database to start fresh for 2017.

2700 hands total today over 2 sessions. 50,000 hands overall. First was 1.5 hours, 2nd was 4 hours. I stopped because my eyes starting to feel weaker and mind wasn't fresh.

+$50.47 for the day at 10NL, 6 tabling.

Running 29/23/8.2 - Definitely playing more marginal hands vs huge fish because we all know JQo vs a 50/12 fish is da nuts and you can barrel 3 times on a QJ856 runout and value town.

3 Things I have improved over my last 10NL review sessions.

1.) I am open raising 5, 6, 7, 8xbb preflop with premium hands when 50/4, 75/25,85/5 whales are at the table (and yes they are calling.)

2.) My 3 bet sizes are much much larger, as is my isolation raises to these limpers pre (60cents to a $1 for isolating)

3.) I am potting flops, 80% to pot on turns when I hold strong hands on a drawy board.

Maximizing bet sizing and increasing pot geometry so by t he river I can plan to either bomb it, shove it, or even value bet if I so choose. Before I was on auto pilot betting the same amount, raising same amount, etc independent of villain.

This is definitely the key to get into the 5bb-8bb/100 winrates at microstakes (I think for a 6 tabler playing perfect poker could probably even break 8bb/100 at 10NL.)

December 30th, 2016. 1.5 hours of poker. Only 650 hands. I slept in a bit late today , actually uninstalled my android games I play, because it takes too much of my time and my I want to focus all my extra attention and time into poker for the next 6 months. In 6 months I think I can take my current strong game and turn it into razor sharp professional mindset and prepare myself for my 2nd attempt at full time live poker.

+$14 for the day. Let's say 3300 hands total, since I will no longer include my purged hands from 2016. +$65 total since I am using $300 bankroll as the starting point. Total bankroll at $365.

Ran AA into KK on a K high flop after villain didn't 3 bet pre lulz

Had flush over flush ( I had baby flush but it wasn't even a 100bb villain so w/e)

I could have arguably made a bad call holding a set on a 973108 run out where a J or a backdoor flush got there - But the villain had a strange betting timing - very casually betting, then very casually just potting the river - villain was unknown. I figured usually players will think a bit when they have a super strong hand to see how much value they can get - so I called, and apparently this villain just likes to bet fast and pot rivers when holding a straight lol

Although I've seen this potting of rivers on scary runouts as bluffs too from certain bad players, and this villain only had 5 hands in my HUD so I'm fine with the call, although it was 40bb's

Made a note about him, and might avoid that in the future vs this specific player.

Extremely happy with my play the past 2 days, tonight I will do session review videos.

over 3 hours of session review for my past 3300 hands.

Part 5. It's 2am here, I'm pretty tired and will going to bed now. But I got these session reviews done all tonight and played a little before my work shift so I'm happy if I can keep this volume of play/study up for the next couple months as I advance back into 50NL and 100NL territory.

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE.

looks like I'm being reported after winning a hand vs a fish that shoves turn with TPTK lol

He min 3 bets me , I call on button with K6, call his flop pot bet, hit trips on turn and he overshoves the pot and I snap it off.

Gotta love players who always think the system is rigged against them!

December 31st 2016,

Played 3 hours and 15 minutes session. Total hands were 1439 hands, 6 tabling 10NL.

+$42.63. Total profit +$111 over 4,787 hands.

Total bankroll at $411.

January 1st 2017,

Played 2 hour session. Total hands were 900 hands, 6 tabling 25NL.

+$74.14. Total profit +$181.47 over 5702 hands.

Total bankroll at $487.33.

I finished my 10NL session review part 6 earlier today. Spent 1.5 hours reviewing 32 hands all over 30 BB's from one session.

So I'm really really feeling it. I just feel so refreshed now there is a new year. Getting fired, having my previous bankroll get crushed from insane dental/car bills and Full Flush Poker going under...basically I just feel new.

Playing my A+ game.

I am watching the review videos and truly studying my play.

I think this is my 6th session in a row where I'm in the green and my mistakes are really quite minimal after reviewing videos. I feel my betting sizes and decisions are becoming more and more optimal.

I have that crushing mindset now and I see my $8000 goal coming within 6 months.

New Goal will follow of being a live poker pro at 2/5 and building bankroll to $50,000 with a life roll of $25,000 before pushing into 5/10. 50 BI's for live 5/10 with a healthy $25,000 life roll I think is a solid solid plan for a poker professional.

Then start investing my winnings every month into stocks, buy a bachelor's pad somewhere and just have total life freedom where I can do whatever I want, when I want.

January 2nd 2017,

Played 2.15 hour session. Total hands were 1100 hands, 6 tabling 50NL.

(Yes I was taking 50NL shots with $500 bankroll lol)

+$65.08. Total profit +$249.25 over 6870 hands.

Total bankroll at $553.86.

So this is my 6th winning session in a row. I started out absolutely killing 50NL, won 4 BI's pretty quickly - Then had disasters happen - KK vs AA where I didn't spike my K. Some other hands. I stopped hitting vs huge fish that were winning with K high, 66, stuff like that.

But 6 winning sessions in a row, might be my best run so far. $249.25 over only 6870 hands and turning $300 bankroll into $553.86 in just 4 days is terrific.

Don't wanna jinx myself though

Going to do 2 hours of review tonight of my previous 25NL and 50NL sessions.

Weekly volume goal - 30 hours of play, 15 hours of review. 8 Hours of session review videos and 7 to 8 hours of watching those videos to analyze further.

3 days a week I will play 7 hours and 4 days a week I will play 2 hours.

4 days a week I will play 2 hours and review 2 hours.
