I'm a recent university graduate playing 25NLz online as well as 1/1 & 1/2 NL live. I'm planning to travel round SE Asia for a few months early next summer and then head onto Australia (likely Melbourne) to do a working holiday for a year. I'd also like to have a reasonable BR for 2/5 live games out in Australia when I arrive so all in all I'll need somewhere in the region of £11,000-£12,000 which I'll call £13,000 just to be safe. If I can somehow make it to £15,000 I'll consider going to NZ as well. The majority of this will come from working (~£9,000-10,000) so I'm hoping to make the rest at the tables, mostly in live games given how lolsoft they are. This'll likely require me to be quite strict with my spending so fingers crossed this thread helps keep me somewhat accountable in that regard as well.

I played a short 1/2 session live on Friday night where I was rather card dead and in for £250, out for £235 for a loss of £15. In the only somewhat notable hand of the session a relatively loose old man opened for £10 in MP, I 3b AKsc to £30 in CO and the BTN thought for a while before cold calling. It folded round to MP who called. I was the effective stack v MP with £220 and BTN had £190. he flop was AAQhhd and I cbet £35 when checked to to set up stacks for the turn and to maximise spaz factor as well as getting value vs weaker Ax, some Qx and some FD's. Sadly both players folded.

I can't play any online volume at the minute as my internet is truly abysmal and far too tilting to play on so I'll post some hand histories from my database later tonight.

Few hands

Hand 1 - Anyone just folding pre here to exploit his likely v nitty 4b range? V is 27/15/4 over 250 hands. I think in hindsight given how deep we are he's likely not 4betting QQ here so his value 4b range given positions is KK+ and I'm doubtful he has too many bluffs here. I think flop should be a x/f too, anyone disagree?

It's been a while....

Long story short I kind of lost interest in online poker a few months ago, I realised I hadn't played in two + weeks and had no desire to either. I'd also been quoted some truly disgusting prices for car insurance so I wasn't driving so playing live became a 90 minute journey each way. I'm now insured though so this thread will likely become me regaling how badly I butcher the biggest pots of the night.

Off to play a session soon, hopefully report back here later with good news. Gl all.

Also, does anyone know what's happened to the 2p2 app for IOS? I now actually work during the day instead of sitting on my phone scrolling 2p2, that ain't right!!
