Hey guys!

First of all a short introduction from me. My name is Philipp and i am a 26 year old student from Germany. I started playing Poker a few years ago (maybe around 2006 or 2007) but didnt play much in the recent past. A couple of weeks ago i really felt like playing some cashgames again and deposited 40$ on Stars.
Thats how it started again

This is the graph since i started grinding again.



Started on Nl2 6max Zoom and played around 50k hands there. Once i reached 100$ i moved up and took shots at Nl5. Current BR is at 150$.

My goal is to improve my game and move up to NL25 as a solid winner. I will post updates on my sessions, my graphs and occasionally some hands i would like to get your opinion on. Bear in mind that there is a reason i am playing micros at the moment. My game is full of leaks and i hope to get some feedback on how to improve.

I will stream some of my sessions on twitch but dont know if iam allowed to advertise myself in here so i will wait for that for now.

For the start here are three hands from yesterdays session. Guess i played them wrong in any possible way but would like to hear from you guys on how to play here correctly.

Quick update: Played two sessions since i created this thread and both went pretty bad. Both combined i am down 7 stacks on NL5 with a lot of really close spots that i lost. Could have made the loss a little less but missplayed some big hands as well which didnt help beating the bad run. Just couldnt get much goin at the tables but atleast i didnt tilt or anything like that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just have to keep a cool head and grind my way out of this bad run. Simple as this!

Will take a break tomorrow and start the grind again on Friday hoping to run a bit better and make better decisions in big pots. I will post some hands, graphs and a general update later this week.

Hope the weekend grind went good!

Quick update from me: Nl5 is pretty much a rollercoaster so far for me but i finally managed to get some good sessions in a row.

With the help of the 10$ VPP Cash Bonuses of Pokerstars i was able to grind up to 200$ which is a new peak (close to 4 weeks in now). Originally i thought of giving NL10 a shot once i hit 200$ but my NL5 grind was all in all so shaky that i will try to stay here a bit more. Maybe grind another 4-6 Stacks before i take a shot at NL10.

The study part is going good as well. I discuss a couple of hands every evening with some guys who join my stream and i am trying to review most of the big hands i play. Besides that i am watching a lot of Cashgame streams and try to learn over there. Thought about re-reading the "The Poker Mindset" as well which definitely would not hurt my game. Still pretty motivated!

I will try to post some hands tomorrow and hope to get some feedback from you guys!

Hey mate good luck for your project.
Getting from $40 to $200 in that short period of time is pretty decent. But staying a little longer on NL5 to furher improve your game seems like a wise decision.

ty for the kind words. just finished another session with a solid profit of 11$ which brings me roughly to 210$. will definitely stay on NL5 until i atleast reach 230$.

anyway, i gathered a couple of hands all from today's session and would really appreciate some feedback:

Quick update as i am riding a heater at the moment. Got two more sessions in the books and the br is now at around 230$.



Will take thursday off of poker as usual and will most likely take a shot at NL10 on friday (which would be exactly one month into the challenge). Wish me luck guys!

Btw as mentioned i started re-reading "The Poker Mindset" again. Challenge for myself: Finish the book in the next one and a half week (which would be 21th of May). Should be possible although i am not a big reader

Still running hot as ****, but also think i played pretty solid on the first couple of NL10 sessions. Didn't put as much work into my game besides actually playing like i wished i would but i am discussing an awful lot of hands on my stream with a couple of great viewers which really makes me improve a lot.

Well i am quite aware of the fact that this run wont continue for forever, but i hope to ride that hot run a little more. Until then i leave you guys with a fun hand from today's session (ppl are just insane).
