not that bad really, you still had a winning month, which is what counts end of the day. Getting crushed in a month would be a different story and is quite common.

Not when you play 150k hands/month and have like 45% rb.

Still dropping 40+ stacks in ~20k hands must be pleasant feel.

I highly doubt if anyone actually has considerable winnings before RB playing Zoom.. seemingly for most winning players it's mostly RB incentive.

This is a pretty common misconception/myth.

You won't have to scroll very far down the PGC section to see that it's not accurate.

Long term though? Seems like every zoom thread, variance seems to always catch up eventually.

Depends what you mean by considerable. Close to nobody beats Zoom long-term for >5bb/100 and reg tables are much softer, but there are definitely lots of people who win at a decent clip.

I just think people take the (true) statement "reg tables are softer" and conclude that it's because zoom is hard.

I am sure that a quite reasonable number of people win long term at zoom.

I do agree with TDA. He's more qualified to comment on that than me.

I am not sure what RB he would get, but if he wants to be a RB pro for the rest of his life, especially if by doing so he would make more money then getting a regular 9-5, then you cant really be mad at the guy. With that being said, you need a bigger bankroll to make a living from RB as the swings will be crazy, and he also has tilting issues which wont help with that either (breaking a mouse/damaging walls is beyond ******ed, and is a clear sign of a problem) .

Have a good time in Monaco, should be a few Stapes puns still lying around from the Grand Final.

I am enjoying reading your thread. I hope to one day be at 50NL with the same volume as you ....keep up the great work.

By 'decent clip', what hourly are we talking here?

If we're talking 50NL, 5bb/100 (close to crushing) at 1k hph, 50bb ph before rb. If we assume SN, 40% of 8bb/100 rake = 3.2bb/100, 82bb/100 total, $41/hour. That seems extremely high to me so I might've made a mistake somewhere.

seems right. 10bb/100 1buy in every 1k hands. so 8.2bb/100 (with rb) looks about $41 an hour

I don't think 5bb/100 is achievable longterm.
Here's PS teamonline pro Dawarsaws results for 2013, 8 tabling zoom.

Pretty sick if you could achieve that hourly. That's £25/hour in the UK, 4 times minimum wage and equivalent to over £30/hour in the real world. 40 hours/week for 50 weeks per year, that's £50,000/year. I wonder who is currently achieving such an hourly at 50nl currently?

Most of them move up. Also not certain 1k hph 50w/year is feasible (though tbf that sounds like roughly what Gazzy does).

@TheLandlord, kinda lol at thinking DaWarsaw is particularly good (he's a meh reg, just promotes himself well), not naming names but there are a few regs who achieve 5bb/100 long-term.

You can make that hourly 25nl on any site with rakeback if you're half decent.

No offence to Dawarsaw as he seems like a decent and helpful guy, but I know he isn't particularly good, as he said so in that thread He says he's a basic ABC player. I didn't think he could be anything else 8 tabling zoom.

Good to know some are hitting 5bb long term.

someone as horrendous as dawarsaw being able to break-even before rakeback proves that 5bb/100 should be a cakewalk

Yeah, re: DaWarsaw he's getting much more rb (assuming nearly 2000 hands an hour) so he'll not be THAT far away from $40 per hour even at thy win rate.

It works for him I guess.

Show some respect mate. You could say basically the same thing in a much nicer and political manner.
