I messaged my friends as I was leaving in those exact words, 'watch this scum lock that seat' - Sure enough I get a message minutes later confirming.

Actually the funniest moment was when he had the option to put on the £50 super-duper-super straddle. Just completely unashamedly unjokingly asks for a donation from table to make up his straddle. I immediately ask him if he's a real, american whale calls him out for essentially begging for money, whole table erupts in laughter.

Anyway didn't know it was you 2 until a friend told me, was fun playing with you both, see you around for some more live rofly adventures. Made an interesting fold against you bena , small pot tho. something like KJ3sxx 8s where you overbet turn
Was a pleasure amigo, although I was absolutely certain you were Hollywooding when you folded the KQo haha! See you around I'm sure

Strong username to GTO post! and yeah the 8x is super important, but I still don't like his call. Just me tho!

hahaha. Believe it or not, I’ve done this before. **** it, I’ll tell the story so fu gazzy.

I was 18 playing a huge 100nl game at dusk till dawn in Nottingham. I was a bit of a dick tbh, kinda arrogant, thinking I was the boy cus I was playing 100nl on stars, and would berate people even though I was total trash haha.

So there was this older guy who clearly disliked me at the table, was giving me **** verbally and just being a bit of a wanker (I likely deserved it but cant really remember what happened). He won a pot off me and thanked me for my cash in one hand loool. Anyway, I have this hand where he 3b me and I call 33. Flop comes kx3. He bets I call. Turn brick, bet, call. River some kinda brick and he checks. I tank for a while and shove. He then goes deep in the tank and ends up calling. I kinda look up with a disgusted face and tap the table. He rolls over AA and I give his hand a second look, look at my hand, look up at his, look back at mine. Pick them up to muck, and last second show them face up.

So as I do this, I get up from the table and walk off to obv go tell my boys what happened being the cool 100nl high roller that I was. I come back to the table and the pot is in front of him and I have no stack lmao. I go erm wtf just happened dealer, I had a set. Dealer looks confused af and old guy goes, wtf you talking about, you thought you’d lost and left the table, the pot’s mine!

After some camera checks etc, I got my money. I guess the moral of the story is, if you’re gunna slowroll at least stay to collect your scum money haha

Ty for the thread gaz, this is mine now xx

Christ barney, if I was a man who didn't say what he meant I'd tell you to open-down. But I'm a plain speaking autist so...

                  Will reply/update properly later!

Ben and I are having a fun debate. If I'm playing live in the casino and a recreational player asks what I do for a living, is it an angle to lie to the rec, and say you work a normal job (I.e. fixing computers)? Part two, is it unethical? The next 11 posts will settle the outcome of our bet. Please answer...

                  Angle - yes/no
                  Unethical - yes/no

I won't say who has what side but I'm pretty sure y'all can work it out...

Say you work in the shipping industry

Err not an angle, borderline unethical but game is just dead when someone says it to a rec :s

No it’s not an angle. It’s not all that different to deciding not to tell people in normal life that you’re a poker player so as to avoid dopey, tedious questions/anecdotes, or avoid having to converse with someone who has played once in a pub or a few times on zynga so knows definitively that “poker is just luck”.

You have no obligation to answer that question honestly. Ultimately, poker is a game of edges and everyone of age has the opportunity to recognise their short-comings and do something about it. Some people aren’t bothered about that and some people aren’t capable of recognising their deficiencies or are unwilling to put the work in to improve. As someone who has worked to attain an edge you should be unwilling to do something that harms your ability to play against such players. If that’s somehow unethical then poker itself is unethical.
