Never folding T6o vs a minraise, let alone with antes. Can't believe people with so many posts are making incorrect defending preflop ranges in 2k18

Personally I would have overbet turn and then depending on spr otr just jammed that card. Idc about variance but I sure bet my opponent does.

Playing 10/20 in Bellagio. There is a mmmmmmmammoth whale in my game. Ep average reg opens to 60, I call hijack with KJo, the whale makes it 300 in SB, we both call.

910. J75r. Whale bets 300, we both call.

1810. 6x. Whale bets 500, only I call.

2810. Kx. Whale bets 700. I raise to 2200. Whale tank calls. I triumphantly show.

Spoiler:
Whale sighs, nods his head, and rolls over 77

Spoiler:
seven seven

Normally I quote a bunch of ppl and reply individually and reply but I am utterly utterly exhausted after today. Woke up at 6am after 6 hours sleep and went to Bellagio. 14 hour session in a genuinely great game all day. Fish coming and going, non-nit regs all day, just a rly fun day. We played the "if you win the pot the dealer exposes one of your cards" game for 12 hours, was so funny at times. Poker wise, it was an absolute battle. Started off losing 2k first orbit, then being up 2k, then being down 6k, then back to even, then down 6k, and won a 19.2k pot (biggest of my lifeeeeeee) to finish up $8050 for the day. The HH...

UTG Asian rec opens to 60 (covers), I 3bet JJ to 180 in MP (9.5k) BB fish cold calls (3k), UTG calls. 550 in the pot, flop is JT9r. When I saw the flop I was literally like...

...x's to me and I bet 380 into 550. BB folds and UTG makes it 1080. Now I'm like...

I call. Pot is 2710. Turn Ax. He bets 2080. As I call I'm like...

Pot is 6870. Fwiw I'm calling river on anything that isn't a 7,8, or K, and maybe not a Q. Anyway river is another ace and I'm like...

He bets 5k, I take like 30 secs, count my stack, and jam for 6190 total (1200 more). His reaction was class, absolutely hated his life and started asking how much etc. He is obv never folding and calls it off and as I show I'm like...

He rebought to like 30k and I wasn't in the mood to play a 40k pot so locked it up 20 mins after that.

Meant to be flying home in 15 hours. Gonna see about extending for a week just now, I'm still right on the fence!

betting 5k with KQ is suicide on this river given previous action, guessing he had lower boat?

realistically villain will most likely show up with kq(16 combos), 78s (2 combos), 99 and TT (6 combos) and no bluffs

I dunno, I would've ofcourse thought long and hard about it, counted some combos, looked at my hand, looked at the jack on the flop, realised I had 3 of em, said "I didn't come all this way to fold a set" and called.

Stop giving away advanced strat m8

***

Pulled the trigger on another week in Vegas. Lost 1k today, squeezed AQs pre vs a limp, an iso, and a call on the btn, x'd back QJ9r, called Qx turn stab and river all in on brick, was shown the 99. Meh. Down 4k and literally didn't win a pot bigger than 1k, but managed to finish the night only down 1kish. Not much else to write, other than a fun wee story. So the game is slowly breaking at around 1am and eventually we get to HU. Me and this unknown reg, he folds like 5 outta 6 btns, doesn't cbet, folds vs cbets, not defending etc, and I'm like fk yes here we go. Anyway new dealer sits down and wants us to pay rake. I ask him to get the floor to see about a cheeky reduction on the $8. We play a few hands and this dude called Matt comes over and is like "what?!" to the dealer. Dealer goes "These guys want a pass on the rake" (i.e. to pay no rake). Matt goes "no!" (like super aggressively). I'm cbetting 74s on 235r and as the other guy folds and Matt is walking away I shout him back and say that we didn't want a pass, just a reduction to keep the game going. He says "how much do you think you should pay?" (super aggressively again), and I say that I don't know coz I've never been in this situation before. I then say "maybe like 4 or 5 bucks?" He is silent for a second and then says, I swear to God he says this, "actually, technically you're getting more hands per hour so you guys should pay more than the $8." I smile and say "c'mon mate be serious" and he goes "I am serious!" I tell him I'm not paying more than $8 and he goes "Okay dealer don't deal another hand!", spins on his heel and ****s off. I was like are u fkn serious m8.

Wynn floor >>>>>>>>>>>>> anywhere else >>>>>>>>>> Bellagio floor. They are the nut ****ing worst.

Another fun story, friend of mine gets it in w AK on KJ88 vs a VIP (the whales in the Bellagio actually get a host to text and ask for stuff etc). Anyway they run it twice, first board bricks, second board is a king. My mate shows his hand, the whale picks up his hand, shows it to the guy on his left, and then throws it into the muck. He doesn't table it, he shows it to ONE dude, and then mucks it. The dude he shows it to then says that the second river gave him a chop. The whale calls for floor, and a host comes over, not a floor manager, a host, and hears what has to be said, and then says to the dealer to retrieve the cards out of the muck, and the whale has KQ and chops the second one. If the whale tables his hand and then mucks then that's ofcourse fair game, but he shows one person and mucks it and the host obv favoured with him.

Incompetent ****s the lot of them.

second story is straight up outrageous
what is a host tho? casino staff or middleman between casino and whale?
