We all make mistakes in life bro. But look who I'm telling, an Arsenal fan...

Despite 1 outering someone today I ran super bad. Could've been better, could've been a lot lot worse. Not really much else to say about it. Happy with the volume, but looks like my winning days streak is going to come to an end!

No hands tonight, no time. Roll at $1150 and just short of 35k fpps. $109 WCOOP tomorrow if I can make some $ in the morning. $1430 Zoom profit for the month, 6.15bb/100, not so bad. Also Stars blocked PLO from my account, gotta be done!

Have a great weekend all, going out to get sloshed!

Out of interest how do you feel about the economic problems that will be caused for the new UK and especially a standalone Scotland by a yes result?

Just interested, because I haven't had a convincing answer on this point from anyone who wants yes. Obviously I am biased toward no because of how bad it would be for the new UK politically and economically, but the outlook isn't actually rosy for a new Scotland either.

wouldnt gazzyb viewpoint likley be the same as the guys who are trying to convince people to say yes? so a simple google will bring up those arguments which would class as their "convincing answer"]

      misread slightly woops

Don't wanna turn this thread into a politics debate but I'm happy to discuss it if you want

Firstly, I'm not overly fussed about the potential problems that will arise for the rUK (rUK = rest of UK for anyone who doesn't know). I never have, nor will I ever, feel any sort of attachment to the union, and have always prided myself on being Scottish as opposed to British. Secondly, and most importantly, Scotland would flourish under an independent Scotland, despite what the BBC (EBC more like) tells you; we pay more tax than what we receive back per head. When you consider just how much revenue will be generated from oil, whisky (you may laugh, but it's worth a lot of money - the Chinese fkn love it), tourism etc etc, Scotland will have more than enough money to flourish independently.

The economic side of things is obviously very important, but there are other contributing factors to it too. Did you know that Trident (a nuclear weapons base) is based in Scotland and not England because of the impact an accident would have? English lives are valued more than Scottish, Northern Irish & Welsh lives, and that is disgusting. As well as this for the past 30 odd years Scotland has not once received a government its people have voted for; if the majority voted Tory, we got Labour, and vice versa. I'm also completely against participating in illegal wars, the privatisation of the NHS (you'll hear that it isn't being privatised but do a Google search on the MASSIVE demonstration in London this week on the privatisation on the NHS - a demonstration that was conveniently not reported by the EBC), foodbanks (MPs recently saying that foodbanks were 'perfectly normal' and that we should be 'proud of them' (actual quotes)), the way that our elderly and disabled are treated (benefit cuts to those that need it most).

With our oil and our taxes subsidising rUK, I would much rather we take control over our own finances and use money to assist the elderly, the disabled, end foodbanks, increase childcare etc etc, and not have to pay for things like the £14bn railroad tracks in England, MPs expenses for the carpets in the bathrooms of their second homes and so on and so forth.

Went on a politard rant there, but the underlying message is simple; vote yes!

That'll do for me. I played the $109 WCOOP and was out after like 3 levels, waste of $. All in all a great day, considering my roll hit $800ish to finish with $1440 and 31,800fpps is great. Looking forward to a good day tomorrow!

Just quickly, all through my degree reading Scotland has come across as negative net tax wise, this may be because all the authors were biased, idk.
All I'm saying is where is your source? Maybe you are just believing it because you want to. *disclaimer, it may genuinelly be true, all I know is that everything I have read is to the contrary.

And also saying you don't care about rUK is just really selfish imo. By proxy you have to care, because the economies will be closely linked for so long (eg Greece hurts Germany kinda thing). RBS and Lloyds which are owned by the tax payer and based in Scotland are too big liabilities for an independent Scotland to take on, and the uncertainty around their assets for a long period if Scotland gets independence decreases their value, effectively costing the tax payer money (that's you and the rUK).

Trident is more or less pure propaganda, and silly to even talk about, where in the UK is there the biggest open spaces that would be easiest to seal off if there was a disaster? Where would you suggest putting it?

I am fairly unresearched on the whole thing tbf, just everything I have read suggests that economically it creates so much uncertainty (and uncertainty costs money) for both seperate states which is obviously bad, and really hate the whole 'idc about rUK thing' seeing as we're going to be linked so closely in economic union for so long you better start caring.
