In fact given that this thread is in page 52 and this is where we are, it's ridiculous to infer that getting hands in is more worthwhile than making optimal decisions.

Not at all intended as a shots fired post, genuinely wanna see Gazzy crush.
Well, he's making a lot of money in the promo right now, so it's more important. He also makes a lot of money in RB. Money is money, shouldn't really care where it comes from.

It shouldnt really matter how much money you make right now, but what you are going to make in the long run. Assume one can potentially beat 100NL but currently plays 10NL.
Playing 10NL doesnt even seem like worth ones time in that case.
Although its necessary to continue to play one much better advised to improve their game - rather than grinding 200-300k - and still! - one would have to work off table.

Every additional minute you have to grind below your potential you are actually losing money.

Participating in races and putting in ginormous volume is just not the
way to improve. Any money you eventually miss out on now whilst working at your game you will make it back quite quickly - even tenfold the investment.

I understand that races have a challenging part to it as well but when they also bring huge burn out risk along. Im very doubtful wheather they are worth participating but then again, I never had decent grinding skills.
I just recently came to realize how insignifficant my first 2-3 years have been. Had I known better Id have worked much harder on my game right away.

Hi, sorry im new to these forums and dont mean to witchhunt, but i was actually interested in the CFP from BTS and caught some info on the website and twitch stream, which says you made over 100k in NL.
So i allowed myself to do some research before i approach the CFP, since i play micros and most likely will get assigned to you for the coaching part mostly and wanted to know if its worth investing into.....

This is what i found...

Should i be concerned?

^ Gazzys volume doesn't come from reg tables, it's mainly zoom. This site doesn't even track zoom.

Alright troops, last few posts in this thread annoyed me a bit. The "hey bro did you know that if you wake up at a certain time and eat right you'll CRUSH LIFE" posts aren't what this thread is about, and at the risk of sounding like a ****, I've no interest in reading those types of posts. At the moment I'm playing a rakerace against Russian bots that is really tough but at the same time thoroughly enjoyable. It's worth a decent amount of cash and I really like the challenge of competition. I never normally play mad hours like this, and when it's over I'll be back to my usual 75k hands a month.

Also...

52 pages ago when I started this thread, if someone told me this is where we would be I would've snap accepted. I hate having to make these kinda posts but my life is great. I live in London, financially comfortable, go to Vegas every summer, make decent money, and get to sit in my pants playing Super Mario at 4 o'clock on a Monday morning. On the flipside, my mates back home are getting married, settling down, and making Facebook pages for their Sausage dogs (true story, mate of mine has just done this). I have never been happier, and in 10 years time when I'm not a poker player any more, I won't be half as happy as I am now.

Please let that be the end of it, every couple of months we go through this. This thread is not about self improvement, it's about giffing hands, chatting ****, going deep in the odd tournament, and me posting 24 hour session graphs.

Also to the guy above who made a fake account in an attempt to try and make me/BTS look bad, how ****ing sad are you.

Way out in front, dude in 2nd place has gone to bed, let's drive it home tonight.

TBH at least for me I really cheer for you winning. I mean this is an ultimate man vs machine challenge and we all know how ****ty Party security is. Would be nice to see human winning the ultimate battle with machines . Would be even nicer if the russian bot scammers lost money in the process but guess man can only hope.

Rarely been made to feel like such a dick for trying to be constructive haha.

Tearing people down for doing their thing is 100% NOT my MO, so apologies if it came across that way, seemed preachy or even just annoyed you. Fair enough, if you're happy then keep on truckin'. Do you have an end game for getting out of poker, or what you see yourself doing in 10 years?

VWP on the rake race. Your ability to put in hours is second to none. Total hands played?

hey, sick volume u put in, im happy i (polarizedOMG) missed out the first 3days of challenge, otherwise we'd push us to the limits, since i wanted to go for 1st place in the rake race, but messed it up ...thought challenge starts 21th october... which it does, but the nl100+ challenge lol

U might labeled me as fish tho, since i punted away few stacks terribly bad
why playing the nl100 challenge, if u probably wont be able to make it 1st anyway? I think if u play few hours nl100 zoom, and some other guy plays 30mins nl500 hU zoom or so, he gonna earn more rake than u after hours nl100 grinding..

btw what u mean with this whole "russian bot" thing? Talvor a bot? since he sometimes plays really strange..

dont know if u noticed it, but i have worst run in my career right now, and its just absurd what kinda **** happens every session.. Thats why i punting away sometimes a stack or two

Gazzy, if you're only 1 person playing under this account you're a psycho mofo. Congrats on this hard work, you deserve to win in that case.

(also, it's impressive the stable you are at the tables, I have not seen you tilt often, unlike other regs that are going braindead sometimes because of the big volume)

Keep the hard work and kill it =)

Party Poker is obviusly rigged

About the nl500 thing you said, nl500 does not run often so we will see what happens.

lol yea, i kinda get that feeling, although im the person who hates saying something is rigged. But its me on 60k hands super antirun. running 1k below allin ev, which is imo pretty huge for nl50. Also its only the allinev, i think my draws in big pots gettin there on river in around 1 out of 10 times (like gutter/OESD + FD), gettin rekt by double barreling for value, and river looks like a brick, but they hit they miracle gutters and 2pairs with K4 toppair rivering the 4 or something againy my AK etc. This is absurd what happening right now, and i cant even stop, since ive put too much volume to get 8th in this rake race. The only hope is to survive BE until monday, and get 80% of losses back with cashprize and rakeback, and ill never touch that rigged fastforward again on pp lol

have 100k+ hands from 888 zoom nl30+50, with 2k+ winnings ...and here im just gettin rekt all days long and down 3.5k after 60k hands, lol still cant believe that ****

the nl500 thing, yea i know its almost always empty, but i think during challenge some guys might jump into it... for winning the rake race or for catching up the top3 guys... even if they arent rolled for nl500, they still might go for HU there in last 1-2 days, since they can drop there 10...even 15 stacks, and still get out with profit, if they manage to take down the rakerace for 10k... at least, thats what i would do lol

but what about the mentioned "russian bots"? who are they, why u think this?

You're talking about a guy who brags about winning 50k on stream then proceeds to move down limits/ask for a stake, He is surrounded by crushers who probably attempt to help him so no shock he won't appreciate anything you say. Then goes on to say he just wants to talk about poker/poker hands followed up by how great his life is lol. Gazzyb the great sympathy case of 2+2 round of applause.

Nice post Gazzy.

2p2 is a weird place. Some people are generally trying to offer good advice but get butthurt when the person they’re offering it to has a difference of opinion and that’s quite ridiculous frankly.

I mean my advice would be grind live as I think that’s where the hourly is highest and that’s what the end goal essentially is for most poker players.

That said there has to be an enjoyment factor in life too and I think the quoted post by Gazzy shows he’s happy, is doing what he likes and that’s the most important thing in life.

Gl gaz pal, always rooting for ya bud and we could have used you out on the pitch today #5asideInsteadof6asideanydayplease.

yeah, i'm 20 buy ins under ev too (im barely breakeven at the tables in ev)
I have experienced the same with party poker. I used to play at ps and 888 and this kind of setups didnt happen so often.

BUT, you have to consider this thing is reg infested too, this changes the outcome of the game. Given there are more regs and regs are selective going to showdown it seems like party poker is rigging it (sapparently no fish here, only regs). But yeah, I know the feeling about rivers, disgusting plays by some players who make it otr etc, kinda tilt sometimes when you lose by playing solid poker vs irrational lines (or at least irrational for a human mind )

Gazzy said Talvor is a bot because of his timmings but I dont think hes a bot.
I think its a dstroyed guy losing 30 buy ins / 100 and hes now trying to take his time every hand he plays to not go busto.
