gazzy i went on 6k ds in vegas once when i was playing terribly. it was horrible. take a day or so off, hit the gym, go see a movie, sit by pool, drink some beers etc and regroup. come back strong. fold a lot vs weak live players.

i played first session at commerce in LA last night, and my god these live players are bad. limp calling and never folding pf but post they are nitty. so imo just fold a decent amount and beware of aggression vs most. some are obv whales but in general soooooo weak tight.

wait for good spots, forget balance etc

honestly live players are brain dead for most part, don't even try to bluff them in creative spots because they are not thinking on the same level

they are thinking hey I have K9 on 942r this is the nuts

you literally just wait for monsters and good spots and take them on one way trip to value town as boring as that is

edit: I'm saying this from a place of getting caught bluffing many live fish and still haven't learned my lesson lol, they will literally call down with 3rd pair sometimes

Any time I was in Vegas, the lads I was with weren't as much into poker as me, so I'd spend more time doing fun stuff than working and just treated it as a holiday away from the online grind.

When your playing 25 hands an hour it means nothing anyway. You have the rest of the year to make it back online.

Good advice. I cannot fathom why he is playing poker on what is supposed to be an enjoyable vacation away from grinding. Do you think he has dumped any money on casino games as well?

I mean no poker player goes to Vegas expecting to relax and have a chill time my friend especially not if their daily grind involves playing 10k hands across 8 zoom tables

Yeah pretty much this.

Bet flop, jam turn. Simple as that. No one is going to fold the million combos of Qx. It is live poker

I see. Forgive me for asking but why would you make an expensive trip half way across the world to play poker, when you can play from the comfort of your own home instead?

Traveling half way around the world to lose money at gambling is not my idea of fun. That must be highly stressful for him.

The booze, shows and food does sound like fun, I will give you that.

The games in Vegas are very soft. You can win money for sure. Sometimes you run bad, that's just how it happens.

Also, life experiences are worth something too.
