Trying to get my foot back in the door at 200z. It's not a BR thing, and it's not a confidence thing, IDK, just doing it slowly

Month so far...

Around 13k hands I played some 200z, got blasted, will get back to 200z this weekend hopefully not much else happening, played some live last night and I didn't enjoy it one bit. I lost £1,000 playing 2/5 and I legit VPIPd like 6 times. The atmosphere, the feel, even the physical stuff like the cheap cards and the rough felt, it's just utter pish compared to USA... will play a few times a week I think, but it's just not the same.

Some fun hands!

I ****in butchered this one lol. He taaank called river too

                i like his line
you do have some 10x in your range but also alot of weaker Ax combos, 1010, A10s, j10s, q10s, 109s but also have all Aqo,Aqs Ajs etc i would play same as him most likely.

perhaps we can check turn then call down?

                its ok imo fwiw.

although he should check turn frequently it would be unreasonable that he x on this specific turn 100% given all other action.

it would entirely be a function of the oop range and postflop ability(i.e. strategy), so you are lacking significant information to be able to state that.

                Hey all,

Myself and a few guys have provisionally secured a house for WSOP 2018. We have it booked for 1st June - 8th July. The house is lovely, and it consists of 3 double bedrooms, and 1 room with 2 single beds. The 3 double bedrooms are taken, and half of the other bedroom is taken. If you're looking for something cheap for that timeframe then please drop me a PM with some info about yourself (name/age/stakes playing etc etc). The house itself is really nice, the guys are great, and while it's not ideal sharing a room with someone, for $900 for that timeframe in the location it's in, it's a bargain! Drop me a PM if interested.

Edit - if you're not interested, please don't quote this post saying stuff like "LOL why would you share a room!?" etc etc, coz, quite frankly, nobody gives a ****

                1) mainly sizing is atrocious throughout 2) turn should be high freq check vs population (particularly vs a spewtard like me who's gonna blast off w KQs etc) 3) what bluffs do you think this guy has here for this sizing scheme? I'm never calling river w A5s etc.

Ty for kind words Elsa, really hope we get to meet up for either a beer or some MDMA in 2018

Bizarre live game tonight. Got there and there were 3 guys playing 5/10 trying to get it going. I would've played if there was a rec, or if it was just 3 regs and the game was 2/5, but trying to start 5/10 with 2 unknowns and one dude I know is a very solid live player didn't seem too appealing, so I went to play 1/3 instead. The game sucked, was kinda nitty, not much happening. Was down a few hundred and just playing a little too loose in certain spots. Eventually got back to almost even, just as 5/10 seemed to look a little more lively, so I went to flick it in.

First hand I get AKo, 3bet pre, take it down. Fold second hand pre. Third hand, My reg friend opens UTG (we're 6 handed), UTG+1 calls, I sqz next to act w AKo again, UTG folds, +1 makes it 330, I jam for like 1500 and he folds. Settles me down, as I was a bit nervous. Whilst I was grinding 5/10 in Commerce, this is £ so it's slightly higher (like $7/$14) and there's no stupid 150bb cap, so it's a bit of a bigger game overall.

Couple of orbits go by and nothing much happens, my boy Smit comes in, clearly had a few bevvies, in good spirits etc. He clocks me playing 5/10 and smiles and waves, turns to his mate and shouts "that's GazzyB123!" obv trying to embarrass me, obv worked haha. Fair play to his mate he went "what you mean SpewyB123?" and smiled over. Anyway I go over to say hello to Smit properly and the **** knocks his beer over and literally drenches me in it. He thinks it was me and starts calling me an idiot lolol. I go back to my table absolutely drenched in beer. I missed my blind so I post BB in the CO and the guy who backraised earlier opens to £40. I flat AQo in CO, the rec flats in the BB. Flop is 278hhx. UTG cbets £50 (I have no ), I call, rec folds. 9x turn goes x/x. Qd river, he x to me and I bet £140 into £220. He makes it £600. He seems reasonably good so I eventually call and he shows KJss. Ship it.

Couple more orbits go by and I'm on the verge of gg'ing coz I'm covered in beer and it's stinking. The rec spews it off w AT on T86 and turns a T vs KK to double up. The guy he doubled through was new to the table and obviously not happy. Anyway little while later the rec opens to 60 in HJ (standard open in this game is £30 and he was opening to £30 too). I look down at ATcc in SB and I elect to just flat. BB tight reg calls. Flop is A96r. Rec cbets £110 into £180 and only I call. Glllllllllorious 10d bdfd turn. Rec bets £275, and after a bit I say "nine hundred". I've played a lot of live poker this year in USA and that just feels like play money for a number of reasons. It was strange how I said "nine hundred" out loud and the voice inside my head was like "holy **** you have just raised NINE HUNDRED POUNDS!". My brain flashed back to when I was 16 years old and worked in JJB sports for £3.67 an hour selling trainers. I used to work all month and not earn as much as that. It was a beautiful moment. Anyway the rec snap jams and I'm like oh well I call and he tables AJo. I expected to see AKdd/AQdd/78s, never expected to be in such good shape. Ran it twice, held twice, and the rec says GG and leaves.
