Grinding from NL2 to NL50

So after a weekend of very poor bankroll management I have managed to work my bankroll down to 50 buy-ins for NL2, or just a little bit over $100. I don't have any intentions of stopping at NL50, but to focus more on my immediate goals and to stay on track I have decided to keep track of my progress here.

My current plan is to play full ring NL2 on AmericasCardroom and some tournaments, but none that cost over $1. I'll move the tournament max buy-in filter up as my bankroll grows. I'll be taking a pretty conservative line on bankroll management to minimize my risk of ruin. I dont particularly want to start again from these stakes, but my pride just won't let me make another deposit. I've set some benchmarks for myself below:

-$250: Move up to NL5, set tournament max buy-in filter to $2
-$500: Move up to NL10
-$1,000: Move up to NL25, set tournament max buy-in filter to $5
-$2,500: Move up to NL50, set tournament max buy-in filter to $10

I'll post a few times a week what I'm doing to improve my game, my progress towards moving up stakes, and hopefully get feedback on some hands.

Nice and good luck! You playing cash or tournaments? I would be happy to swap hand histories if you're ever interested

Re: Grinding from NL2 to NL50

Ouch.... Pretty bad session today. Lost about 5 buy ins. I had 3 sets that wound up getting beat by a higher set, a rivered flush, and a straight. I'll post the hands later this week and maybe someone can give me some feedback if there was anything I could have done to save some bets or just chalk it up as variance?
