Hi there, I'm a full time 6 max cash grinder from the UK who is moving to Bogota, Colombia at the end of the month with 6 other poker players.

We will be living in Bogota for at least 5 months, and I thought it would be cool to blog and also video my experiences living there, to give readers an insight as to what it's like to live and grind in a different country. I intend to mainly focus on poker and lifestyle, but I am also quite passionate about fitness, so will be dedicating a small section to my fitness goals.

A bit about me, I'm 23, graduated from University in 2015 with a 2:1 in Economics, and after having success with the game during University, decided to give turning pro a shot, and have been playing ever since. I mainly play on Euro sites, but for the sake of this blog, and to challenge myself, I will put in some volume on Pokerstars, focusing on 6 max zoom.

I often struggle finding the motivation to put in a lot of hours, but I hope this blog will be a good way of focusing myself, and I will be offering weekly freerolls to hit volume targets, poker related and more.

Unfortunately I don't have much to offer in the way of graphs as the sites I play on do not allow HUDs, but starting today I will be updating daily with graphs, hand histories and more.

This was a while ago when I was playing Heads Up Hyper Turbos,
not really relevant today but hopefully provides me with a little bit of credibility as a winning poker player.

Okay, so now for the good part - weekly FREEROLLS!!:

1. 12,000 hands at 50NLz
2. +700 XP Duolingo

3. Update blog everyday
4. Average week weight -71.38kg (last week average 71.88kg)

Each freeroll is worth $50, first person to comment the number gets the freeroll, and obviously only one freeroll per person. I will have until Sunday 25th June 2017 23:59:59 by British time to complete these goals.

Sorry for the essay, I will try to do a short update every evening, including profits, graphs, goal progression and any extras that are worth sharing, so wish me luck, and GL at the tables!!

Okay okay, I think I've finally worked out how to post pictures now xD
Today's volume (and results) not great, definitely finding Pokerstars tougher than what I'm used to, but feel confident I can still beat 50NLz.

Today I got up late (around midday), went to the gym, then head into town to sort my currency out for Colombia. Ended up getting an STA travel card which seemed the best option by far, you can put as many £ on there as you need and it simply works as a debit card once you're out there, no transactions fees, and a better exchange rate than any of the currency exchanges.

As I mentioned, volume has been low today, and the weather is not helping. Makes for a lovely walk to and from the gym, but makes grinding unbearable, not had weather like this in the UK for a long time. Reminding me of Thailand.

Spanish is also improving, hit my Duolingo target for the day and also did some practice with my friend. Looking forward to actually practicing it with Spanish speakers, although I am still far from conversational.

Finally a winning day! Felt much more confident today, made a few adjustments to my game which seem to be working out, and of course ran well too which is always nice. Would be nice to be around 4bb/100 after 100k hands, but variance can be a b*tch so we will see.

On track for all my goals, but got some socialising coming up at the weekend which may make things more difficult, always find it impossible to grind after a night out.

Thought I'd throw a pic of my very boring set up in just in case anyones interested:

^^ this was an interesting spot as I don't think he can ever have Kh, except maybe AKh which we block. Any KhJ/T bets the turn, KKh and KhQ don't bet flop for this sizing, so yeah, felt a good spot to bluff.

Lol. This is not going to plan.
Definitely feel like I'm running terribly, but sample is getting larger and no change in results... Think I will spend some time tomorrow watching some RIO videos at the 50NL level, see if there's anything I'm doing majorly wrong. Still not so worried, the pool in general feels soft, also got some rake back saved up which cushions the downswing a bit.
If anyone feels I played certain spots incorrectly let me know, I know most are just coolers and probably not the most theoretically complex spots but yeah let me know.

Today I went to visit the city I studied in, York, and caught up with an old friend. Was a really nice day, and managed to get some decent volume in when I got home too.

Think the hands on the whole wp although:

a) JT BTNvsBB AJ4ddc think out bet sizing should be more polar ie 80% rather than 1/3 could be wrong though. We're going to have a bunch of gutshots and flush draws so do think we want to bet large, and 100% vs a fish who's never folding a draw or Ax

Think if denying equity more important say it were 652 5 I can get on board with 1/3 pot lead though

b) AQ OOP 3!pot A78dd, not sure who villain is, vs fish think I just prefer betting, same vs regs tbh although having some checks nice.

Think on the whole people do try to realise their equity a lot on these types of boards but that's my experience, maybe i'm being results orientated but have "messed" up a bunch of these spots by trying to be tricky in the past so trying to stamp it out from my own game. Results may vary!

Yeahh agree completely with your points. The idea behind the 1/3 lead was that we turn a range advantage , so leading full range for 1/3 was my idea, however perhaps not the best board to try this on after villain c bets into 2 players. Leading polar for close to pot is also another option, although have to be sure you leave some Jx in a check as well.
Second hand felt was just basically RNGd as a check jam as opposed to a bet.

Thanks for the advice, some really good points, let's hope today goes better!!

Might give this a read at some point as I've heard it's quite good, although I don't struggle with tilt very much, especially playing 50NL on stars as it's quite low stakes compared to what I usually play. Even so, it can't hurt to give it a read, maybe I'll buy it for the flight to Colombia

^ think I made a mistake betting turn here vs a rec, and the call off can also be questionable, but you see so many spaz outs at this stake that I don't think i can fold getting 2:1

Overall a decent day, hit my 12k hands goal so that freeroll has expired. The only one I'm really struggling with is the Duolingo one, looks like I am going to have to grind it out on Sunday. Going out tomorrow so won't be playing poker, but will take some pictures and do a brief update of the day, along with a fitness update - GL at the tables.

In terms of prop bets, really struggling for Duolingo but just going to have to grind it hard for a few hours today. Updated everyday, hit 12k hands and looks like I'm on track for the weight loss too!
