It may be dead, it may not be dead. If we still enjoy play it and it gets us the results we "want", then it does not matter what the random troll thinks.

Day 17 (November 13th)
Hands: 582
Results: +$6.16

This one felt like a robbery.
All in EV was about 2 BI less than I got. Hit a 2 outer on the river to grab someones stack in a all in pot. Have been running 2.5 BI below EV on the first 30k hands. So it surely even out in the long run.

I dont have much time to play or study this week (until friday night when I can post 3k hands a day again).

So bare with me until then, going to be pretty short posts until then.

Was fun to play tonight though. Was really tired last night and went to bed early. Worked 13 hours today. And the joy and fulfilment of sitting done and play some poker after was awesome.

Tomorrow will be a shorter day at work. So can put in some hours tomorrow night.

Until then, good luck at the tables.

Day 18 (November 14th)
Hands: 857
Results: +$4.77

What was good about today?
[1] Managed to keep my cool despite having KK losing to AA preflop twice.
[2] Overall pleased with how I played. Tilt has not been an issue for almost all this challenge.

What could have been better today?
[1] More volume. Could have gotten a lot more volume today. Would have been pleased with 1.5k considering my work schedule for this week.

All time stats:
Hands: 32 008
Table results: +$55.67
Bankroll: $155.67

Day 19 (November 15th)
Hands: 1212
Results: +$8.29

Another day with good results. And I am finally showing some good results at NL2.
In the beginning there was a lot of hands played and not so much money earned.

A few lessons have been learned from that.
[1] If I don´t REALLY think I am going to win the pot, fold. I have folded a bunch of good hands that might have been winning because of this. Value betting the **** out of my opponents or fold. This will yield good enough results over time at NL2 and probably also at NL5. From NL10 and forward we need to start play a little bit more "complexed".

[2] I stopped giving away money for free because of playing in a bad state of mind. I gave a bunch of pots away because I was either angry or tired after playing for a few hours. This has not been a problem for a while now. And with a different mindset it probably "won´t" be a problem until the level of poker being played is going to shift drastically.

This is basically what I have learned and applied since the rocky beginning.
Of course I have been running good lately, but it is not like EV is breakeven and I am on a serious heater. Im pretty close to my EV at the moment.

Anyhow. I am not satisfied completely with where I am at the moment. I want to get better and there is some leaks I need to plug.

[1] I need to be more disciplined about my own poker journey.
I am a frequent reader of other cash game threads on 2+2 and got a few pointers from one of them today. Nothing groundbreaking but it just confirms my thoughts about focusing when playing.
Only music, no social media, no youtube, no blogs, nothing else. FOCUS when playing, goddammit!
Something I also need to do is to play every day during peak hours. It is basically 20.00-01.00. Especially friday-sunday.
I have been playing too much during daytime these last weeks and from this
point on I will use some of that time to study instead. Atleast 1.5 hours per day.

[2] When playing I have noticed that I feel uncomfortable too often in 3bet situation, either if I am going to 3bet someone or if someone 3bets me. I have realized that I need to 3bet the fish more often. And take advantage of every pot they play preflop and try to isolate them as much as possible.

[3] When I play I tend to worry too much about the results of the current session. I know deep down that the results of my session at the moment does have MINIMAL effect on my longterm results. What I have learned is when I check my results during the session or before the end of the day I let the results affect my current mood.
If I am up I feel unbeatable and very happy. If I am down I want that results to turn green again before the day is over. Today I did not check my results until every table was closed and right before writing this post. So this is something I need to continue reminding myself of the importance of thinking in long terms.
I just need to focus on consistently table selecting and finding worse players to play against and it will yield profit over a long sample.

[4] I have noticed that a bunch of players describing why they play poker is to have it as their full time job. If they doesn´t make it then they will quit for good instead.
That made me think of why I play poker.
I don´t have the goal to make poker my full time job, money is not my #1 priority.
Winning is. Getting better and getting good is.
I played golf professionally for a few years and played golf seriously in competitions in more than 15 years. The constant way of thinking in terms of how do I keep developing my game to be the best player I can be?
It was like a drug, to practice my ass off and then producing a good score was the best feeling in the world. I wanted to be in the situations when things were going to settle. I wanted to have the winning putt and make it. I thrive in those conditions.
When you have experienced feelings like that and suddenly you stop encounter situations when you feel it again. It can be very empty.
Because of that my #1 priority at the moment is to have something that I enjoy doing and that I can be the best of my ability in.

Damn, now I am tired. It was good to put down my thoughts in words.

Tomorrow I am going home again. Miss my two screens so I can put up some serious grinding this weekend.

Good luck at the tables everybody!

Day 20 (November 16th)
Hands: 1231

Felt card dead all day today.
Just did not get it going basically. I played the same type of game as every other day but these days will also come.

Tomorrow I am going to put in some study.

Side note:
888 has a Jackpot that you get if you get a Spade Royal Flush, and part of it with a Royal Flush. Sucks I had 9 T J Q K of diamonds today

Day 21 (November 17th)
Hands: 2752
Results: +$9.12

Really thought this was the day who was going to break the winning streak.
It turned out it was not.
Currently on a streak of 13 straight days with profit.

What was good about today?
[1] I am getting better at coaching myself when playing. Looking at the results was not an option today. Reminded myself about the long run and today it was really easy to wait until the day was over before I checked my graphs. This is an important "skill set" to have and I am happy that it went so good regarding that today.

What needs to be better tomorrow?
[1] I said I was going to study today. I did not. I NEED to do that tomorrow. Do it the first thing in the morning.

All time stats:
Hands: 37 203
Table results: +$74.78

Winrate for every level played (not including RB):

I got tired of the slow action in NL2 full ring.
So yesterday I decided to move up to NL5 and giving it a 10 bi shot.
I think after almost 35k hands at NL2 with a WR of 10bb/100 I show that I can beat that stake without any problems.

So the plan is to play NL5 6 max with a 10 bi shot. And if I lose those 10 BI I am going back to NL2 FR and grind again.

But that is not my intention obv.

Grind and study like hell and NL10 I am coming for you!
