Hello 2+2.
I’d like to start this thread by introducing myself. My name is Hicham and I’m 22 years old, I’m from le Netherlands and currently studying at the university of Amsterdam. I’ve played online poker for a while and have been winning more than losing(thank god) mostly grinding 10NL.

Enough about me, I’ve been reading and posting on 2+2 for months now and really enjoyed reading most of the threads, the section you can find me browsing the most is the Poker Goals & challenges one, they are very inspiring and really good to read. I could name a few but that would be unfair to the rest!.

I was thinking for a while on how to make a thread of my own but without it being the somewhat ‘’simple’’ I grind micros thread(no offense blakkman I enjoy your thread!haha). I will in fact be grinding 10nl and hopefully moving up but with a slightly different goal. I have no interest in making big money in a short period of time or grinding poker 24/7 to buy myself a maseratti. Instead I wanted to do something one could almost call ‘’honorable’’.
3 years ago on today’s exact date, my mother passed away. After fighting cancer for almost 10 years. My goal will be related to this. I am going to give 50% of my winnings from today until the 1st of September(start of new school year) to charity. It will be an organization related to cancer research or help for people suffering of cancer. And to ensure that my goal doesn’t completely fail I will donate 500 euro out of my own pocket to any of not yet chosen charities on the date pointed.

Short summary for those who don’t like to read long texts.
- Starting at 10nl
- Donating 50% of total winnings by the 1st of September to charity
- Winnings include everything, rakeback and money bought with fpp’s
- Praying for lots of run good!!

I am starting with a bankroll of 200 euro on pokerstars.fr and will take shots at higher levels once I reach 20 buyins for it, because my tv broke down I am only grinding 4/5 tables at a time but will crank this up to 12 once I get my flatscreen back(somewhere at the end of this month).

First session of the grind and I am down 5 buyins, running 8 buyins below EV we all know the story, AA cracked by 33, Kk cracked by JJ all in preflop etc etc.

Well great day so far! I managed to grind all of it back + a little extra. And I should be unlocking my first 10 euro bonus today!.

I'd like to up the interest in this thread a bit by asking the community if they have any charities in mind. As I mentioned I will donate money, no matter if I fail or not, but I havent looked into charities yet. If anyone knows a charity I'd like your help.

I also have a nice roll on .com of about 700 dollar and decided to also play there and donate half of that as well. So I am in the middle of playing a session on .com atm and well, it might be the most tilted session of my life haha. Missed AA on the btn after some 3bet because of me screaming at the wall.
