This weekend, has been fun. High swings, big gambling and some success. It started out with a friday night final table at my local casino where I made $200 profit. I take that N hop into a cash game, and win 1400$. The next day, there is good local morning tournament, so I go to play the 110$ and barrel off two bullets, not cashing. At night, i play the nightly after a short nap, and lose another 80. I take saturday late night off, to rest up for a big Sunday, losing 300 on the day.

Sunday came, and I played a ton of online, I won two satellites into the Big 55, and 2 other 27-33$ satellites. I brick almost everything all day, missing huge flips in all the bigger tournaments I satellited into. My buddy wants to put me in SM and 215 2nd chance, I run up massive stacks in both. In the SM i cash like 440, and in the 2nd chance, I play a massive flip for a stack about 2x average, when we were down to 240, 150 got paid. It would of been nice, who knows what would of happened... but it didn't. Anyways, one of my last tournaments of the day on FTP saved me, I FT a small field 240 man 10$ mtt, for 4th for 270. That was enough for me to profit on 120 on the day. I then went to FD(local casino) to grind some more at the nightly 60$ mtt, I won it for 625$. Overall it's been a swingy but fun weekend.

Goin to stick to the outline, and rest up tomorrow (watch the FT of PCA). Mcdonald is Canadian and actually a pretty nice guy, he actually responds to some of my tweets, so I gotta hope he wins it tomorrow. It will also be fun to root for Vanessa, she's one of the strongest NL mtt players in the world imo, she kinda has what Ivey had a few years ago, omitting a lot of fear to the what I like to call the "teir 2" players of the world.

Long time no update, I've been playing a lot, and grinding mainly live. I drank way too much on Wednesday night, and was hungover all day. Tomorrow night is the Friday night tournament, so I'll be goin to casino again. Hopefully I run hot in the tournament and make top 3. I need to start taking better care of my health, been focusing a bit too much on poker. It's hard for me sometimes to be in the alcohol/gambling environment without easily giving in to drinking.. I've also been playing a bit online on my ipad, while playing live, but my ipad cuts out a lot even tho it has wifi.. so I think I'm goin to have to bring it to an ipad store. Tired. Goin to bed.

Hey guys, break even week here. Still focusing majority of my efforts on live poker, but I am missing the online grind a bit. I'll be playing some 27$ FO's that are TCOOP in the upcoming couple of weeks. Unfortunately I didn't get to building a fpp bank, so I won't be playing as many events as I anticipated.

Not really sure if anyone enjoys these live write ups, I haven't got much feedback.. so I'll just try to keep it short unless some big swings come up. Last week I had a good Friday, I managed to chop the tournament 4 handed, for about 1050 profit. I was close to running away with it, but got coolered a few times near the end and doubled up about 4 short stacks. Then the next day, I had a pretty brutal Saturday, I lost in mtts, hold'em N PLO. My notes say "Lost a 600$ pot w/ 31% and a 900$ w/ 57% equity both 3 way" So some swingy hands in PLO. I remember the one where I had 57% equity, I got it in 3 way, on a AT5scs board w/ AA34, vs KsJs8sx + 55xx... so set over set over nut flush+gutty.

8 days left in the month, I'm goin to try to finish strong. I'll do my best to write more often.

Got drilled this weekend in plo. Still can't seem to breakthrough in that game. In plo alone i'm barely up this month, but I took another loss for 400 there tonight.

I get this all in, on the flop. I got the KQT8ds.

And with the rebuy, I get the set + fd here all in, running it twice. Lost em both. I made it 25 on teh button, 4 way checks to me on flop, i check. Turn that king. Co leads into me 60, and i figure raising 160 all in is better then calling, I'm tryin to push out higher flush draws.

Play the nightly, at the casino afterwards, 60$ mtt, 2nd +230 profit. (small field)

Still down swinging, lost 10$ online, was 1 seat away from a 109 TCOOP satellite. 6 paid, i came in 7th. Then went to casino and lost 85 in a mtt, and 20 in a live 1/2 NL.

In the morning I went out and played some indoor golf, never done that before. It was kinda fun, I got to hit the ball at least 60 times, improved slightly on my form but I really do suck at golf. I double par (disqualified) on most holes. It was a pretty cool system, was like a expensive golf simulation game, with nice clubs. I asked the guys I was with how much they thought the set of clubs we were using was worth, and they said about 500$.

Tomorrow, I plan on waking up early, and grinding some TCOOP satellites. I've decided I'll be playing the 109 PLO8 TCOOP, so hopefully I make some money playing the satellites and I'm freerollin on the tournament with T$ profits. I'm prepared to spend at least 300 tomorrow, if **** hits the fan and I brick satellite after satellite.

Holy ****.. when it rains it pours. Complete showers, I played about 17 satellites, brick every single one. Then decide that I shouldn't be a coward and play the event anyway, even after bubbling 2-3 seats. I run my stack up to about 7500 from 5k, before losing a 10k flip pot, and bust shortly after. -300 Online today, all TCOOP related. After that session, I decided to take a nap, and fell asleep for 6 hours. I sleep like a baby on down swings, but I don't even mind. They can be draining on the soul but nothing rests me up more then some extra hours in slumber, and some thinking before jumping back into the games. Thankfully I'm a lot more experienced these days, and I don't let myself have too many bigger losing days. Preparing to lose the worst, hurts a lot less when it actually happens.

There isn't a whole lot going on in the live scene tonight, so I'm gonna see if I can chill with some friends the remainder of the night. If no ones doing **** all, I'll either rest up relaxing, or watch some runitonce vids. It's always interesting to watch other pros who are playing higher then you regularly tackle trivial situations that you see often. I think you can learn more from watching great players sometimes then from grinding long hours.

Since last update, I played 2 live sessions, one was a cash session where I made a few major mistakes, that cost a lot resulting in an overall loss of 300 on the day. Another was a live mtt session where I lost 70$ when my flip didn't pan out.

I've decided I'll be going back into a more planned scheduled grind with more of a focus on online poker. I've also decided the majority of my play on non Sundays will be PLO. I really do enjoy plo the most right now, it's the most fresh, complex, interesting format of poker to me and I believe from the small amount of experience I do have with it, it's improved my NL game too.

The way I see the game, is like NL is black and white, and PLO is color. Once you go back to playing NL after PLO, you can see more shades of gray, and it's easier to express what your trying to do and why.

Back to grind, I'll post more later. maybe.

Update, playing a lot of poker. Trying to break through in the local scene, and just study here and there online. Reviewing what I can, and trying to understand what better players are doing that I'm not, and why.

It's been a fairly break even month so far, which is never nice, but I've had a lot of +EV spots during it so far, and I've had some decent stacks in some tournaments with some large payouts. So I feel like I'll some success eventually.

Tonight I played some PLO on party, I'm still not entirely set up there, but working on it. I don't quite have hand histories working up yet, think I have to validate my email. I'd like to have money on 3-5 websites eventually (mainly top 2-3 networks + stars/ftp). Got into this spot tho.

In a 3bet squeeze pot, spr is 3.

I decide to push instead of flatting here. I thought this hand would play better HU vs the 3better then letting the other guy see a cheap turn.. I might buy some turn 2 pair outs.

Ran some sims after. Top one is aces with nutfd, bot is them without.

I found a new tournament series in March here coming up. Looks pretty sweet. http://www.partypoker.com/whats-goin...pokerfest.html

A lot of great low buy ins, and the structure's are a bit deeper/slower then your average tournaments. 15min levels, with 5-10k chips and most buy ins nice and small, 5-50$. Pretty excited to play a few of these, they're right in my BR roll, and skill level. Not to mention the fields will be big, but not stars series big, so a few deep runs might be possible.

After a failure of a month in February, I've taken a step back. I've gone through my live bankroll, chasing liveament scores. I'm not broke, but it feels like I've "gone broke" because I have lost one of my bankrolls. I do have money in other areas so I'll be ok, it's just I'm left with a feeling of failure. I do think I've learned some important lessons this time, so with my next roll I'll have a much better chance of "breaking through".

I plan on building this smaller next roll, through my online profits. Those profits will come from 6m hypers. I'm going to get back closer to the mentality I had at the beginning of the year. In January I wrote "Online grind will be NL hypers until it becomes PLO $ 6max", I'm going to stick to that.

I believe I will struggle getting back into a motivated mind frame, online poker can be gruelling, especially if you're not playing the format you wish. (I'd much rather play PLO 6M) But sometimes, you just have to grow up and do some $hit you'd rather not, in order to get ahead. When I do get to a point where I can take out some money for my next live roll, I'm going to apply my online logic to live, and stick to one format, until I've made enough money for another. I'll be playing low stakes liveaments until I have enough $ to transition to live NL, from their after some success hopefully, I'll transition over to live PLO.

My vision, is still the same, I'd like to have a live roll big enough to play local plo games, and local 200-500$ liveaments, with an online bankroll large enough to play online PLO. That's it, that's my vision. That's where I see myself happiest, and consider myself successful. I want to do all that, while meditating more and being healthier then I've been in recent years.

Small update here,

I've been paralysed the last few days, mentally. Struggling with motivation to play. I currently don't find hypers that fun, the idea of grinding them is gruelling. It's ok though, I'm working on my mental strength and building up to more volume day bye day. The first few days back, I couldn't even get my self to work. I'd just **** around all day, dicking around surfing the internet wasting time.

Finally I came to the conclusion, the first step is the hardest. I loaded up a session and it was hard to get through it, but I did it. Now I'm setting my goal for the day at 3 sessions. I use to do like 5-7 sessions, and anything less then 4 sessions in the day was considered slacking. So I think I can get beyond that eventually. Looking through my hud, the last time I was in good hyper rhythm, was Novemeber. That's quite a long time ago, so what I'm working through is most likely very natural. I think today, I should review some mental game of poker, and brush up on some ICM(zzzzzz). I should try not to be so negative, and come at my new journey with a beginner's mindset.

Also, I just signed up to a local gym, I've always been into fitness and weights. It's 24/7 so I'm pretty excited to have an access to that. It's nice to blow off some steam, and also great to make progress in other areas of life. Not to mention how fun it can be to just get away from the computer and pump some iron. The pump really is a great feeling, and I can't wait to get healthier and studdlier One of my Yearly goals was to live healthier then in 2013, and this is a step in that direction.

Sometimes I dream about games, and cards. because I'm a degen. If this game has already been invented, sorry. I haven't seen it online yet.

I know almost everysingle game available on Pokerstars, theory to a basic level that I can break even or close to it at the lowest stakes. Wut can I say, sometimes you need a break from your main grind when it's boring you, and you're sick of it. Or when you're on a big downswing.

So thus, I dream often, about games I've never played, that would actually be in my mind; fun.

Here we go, you ready?

I present, a game that's already been invented in another dimension, lol joking. enough hype.

KD. Kansis Deucy.

Hybrid, Big bet split game. I think it would be most fun with a 4-8 player amount in the form of Pot limit. And would be lame as ****, with less then 3.

It's played with a normal button rotation, like NLH. Basically a split version of Badeucy and Kansis City Lowball.

Kansas City Lowball: Draw poker played with 2-7 ranking, usually played no-limit.
+
Badeucy
Badeucy, sometimes referred to as Baduci, is a game dealt like 2-7 Triple Draw. The game can be played with no more than 6 players. If the mixed game has more players then players to the left of the big blind must sit out. For example if a game is 8 handed the two players that would normally be under the gun are dealt out. The best 2-7 hand wins half and the best badugi hand wins the other half. The best 2-7 hand is 75432. Flushes, aces and straights are high. The best badugi is A234 rainbow. Typically in Badeucy the ace is high for the Badugi half.

So if you can follow all that, then you already know the game.

But Yea, split pot. one half goes to the lowest badeuci hand, aka.. 2345X all different suits. And the lowest 2-7 hand, for the other half of the pot. aka... 23457.

Let me know what you think.

200$ tournament at my local casino tomorrow, should be a lot of fun. They're maxing out at 9 tables, I'm really not sure how many they'll get, I predict at least 50 though.

Got my shoes pic'd above, bought two of em, thinking i might be able to resell one in a few years if they go up in price a lot. There are a few unique things on them, that dunk low heads will appreciate as the years go on. So i think it's not the worst investment...

Scoop Day 1. I'm hoping this lil horsey is runnin fast out da gate.. I'm attempting a SCOOP-L TLB race, it does overlap my Montreal plans, but if I make a FT, i can always spew money and buy a new laptop. Might be on hide this week, we'll see. Grind! GL to all the other warriors crazy enough to be chasing the TLB dragon.

Selling for SCOOP-#5-M
I'm selling up to 25%, at 2.00 don't really give a fk if no one buys action.

A lil info about my dugi game, I use to play 5/10-20/40 when they first hit stars, but eventually got bored of the game, because pokerstars refused to give us another option, of either 4 max or PLD (Pot limit dugi).

I basically use to sit there all day, starting tables... until Shaun Deeb wrecked me pretty good. There are a few guys better then me, but I know who they all are, and they play super high. Seb86 wafflecrushed funbobby"JRB"

Can't believe those days were almost 5 years ago, heres' a little proof rabbit hole.

Wow, it's been forever since I used this account. This is my original 2+2 account, time stamp on the left will show you how long/playing/studying I've been in the group for.

This week has been horrible in poker, but sometimes life kicks you in the nuts. The best thing to do it, stand up and face your problems and not be a little bitch. The way I do it, is by playing more poker, and hanging out with good friends. I'm in my dirty 30's nowadays. It's crazy how fast the years go bye once your over 25. For all the younger gamblers or poker "pro"s out there, i def suggest you put some investments into more then just one account. I recently broke up with my long term GF, and it's been hard at times. But I'm making it through, and really looking forward to the next time I get laid. lolol

These days my heart is at the WSOP, i'd love to go down this year, but not sure I can afford it, compared to my life BR. Which is kinda depressing, but that's fine, i'll work wherever I can, and just be prepared to grind wherever. Sometimes you have to grind cash, and sometimes u'll find cash games are getting tougher, and there are other spots to grind.. like sng's/mtts/a new game.

These days I try to keep an open mind and learn about all forms of poker, my favorite on starz is probably either badugi or a big field FT MTT. Obv those are two completely different things, but what can I say. I love poker, always have. After these last few tournaments here in Vancouver, I plan on grinding up a few rolls, all over the net. I don't have my main computer right now, so I'm using a laptop for a couple days, but at the moment I can still play some 5 card plo on it. I don't believe there is much software out there, and the only players who have a edge over me, are Euro's who have studied 5 card PLO software and simulations or a ton of omaha experience.

Either way, i'll have fun along the way. Really excited to go back to the online grind after a couple more big stressfull ( in relationship to net worth liveaments here ). Thankfully, i'll be getting staked for the next 1k here in a couple of days.(freeroll, 25% which reduces stress)
