Hi OP that hand example you posted is really terrible pre and post flop. Also like someone said earlier you can't assign someone 1 hand like you said you thought he had an A high and you felt he didn't have a pair, so does that mean you don't think he would raise with a pair there? Well yeh he would so of course a pair is possible, you need to put players on a range and then narrow that range down based on post flop action.

I'm not running that great this month but the good news is I'm not in the negative for the month, I would like to see some serious run good this upcoming weekend from the poker gods

And please have the same action players this last weekend oh boy was it good <3

I agree I usually keep an eye on villains betting range patterns but I hadn't played to many hands with him to make that call next time I'm folding the 9's on a 3bet that large pointless to set mine when it was that large of a 3bet

Well fellas lost 1100 in 2 days

Honestly feel like going back to work and just saying *** when poker hits a low for you it's really low. Uhhm I played bad and ran bad excellent comination (sarcasm) seriously tho I hate the downs of poker makes you feel lonely its sick anyways I lost 200 on this hand

Holding hero q♥️j♥️ Utg open for 15 two callers

One of the callers is a guy they went all in with a drawing hand previously, other is a fish/psycho that plays every hand aggressively he was so bad and annoying as ***.

Pot (45)

Flop
Q♠️8♦️6♠️

I bet 30 both players call

Turn pot (135)

Turn 10♣️

At this point I thought they both were drawing I didn't want them to have a free card so I made it 80 guy one guy calls psycho fish folds.

River a♠️

He puts the rest of his chips which was 58 into a pot of a little over 200

Now I know I'm beat but can't fold hear I called and he shows ace queen lol

Why do I have to run into the top end of my opponents range every ****** time? Ughhhhhh this dude just went all in with a drawing hand previously now he slow rolls me

**** man to top it all I off I had a set that lost to a full house on a turn card for another 200

I lost to higher flushes

Idk depressed now

I have to make note that I think the varience is kicking in more with multi-way pots,

i mean how often do you get out flushed, out kicked with trips? that scenario happens more likely if you see flops 5-6 ways ive made good reads and good bluffs

the stuff that i know i can turn around is when im a strong favorite to win, i need to continue to get in those type of spots and i believe that will get me in the green

GL OP, I'm following also. Continue to post HH & keep an open mind on the responses. I'm a Rec. player & I have learned a lot from these type of threads. I like following players as they start their poker careers. Sorry about the downswing but hang in there!!

I will start posting some pics when the bread comes in I just started grinding and my roll isnt very big now around 900 or so. hopefully a good run good happens so I can accomplish the request

Btw the job hunt is going very hard, believe it or not the 3 years of experience doesn't mean **** to these coporate companies and its actually hindering my interviews.

I am lying to them saying I left for other opportunity instead of telling them I got fired

maybe I should just tell the truth ? idk

Gl man, I just left a fortune 500 corporate job where I was making about 40k also. I do have the ability to go back supposedly but I know the struggle. I'm going to take my last check and deposit 200 into bovada and play sngs to grind it up.

I upload them to imgur and use the forum image link they provide. I feel they resize the biggest when people click them.

Do not bluff at this limit do not bluff at this limit do not bluff at this limit *** me.

-1700 now

Ran my stack up to 445 when this occurred

Player just sat down, he's unknown doesn't play a lot of hands could be a good player.

I pick up k♥️10♥️ In bb folds around to dealer who has now opened twiced he hasn't see me play a lot of hands and this is a good 3bet spot I feel like defending my blind so I make it 45

We both have 445 effective stacks

Pot (95)

Flop
7♥️2♠️2♦️

I bet 50 he calls I feel like he has a mid pocket pair I'm going to fire a huge 2 barrel on the turn he hasn't seen me 2 barrel and he has fold equity.

Pot(195)

Turn is 8♥️ I bet 200 he takes two seconds and says I'm all in gross because I have to call my remaining 200 with at least 30 percent shot bunking a river

River a blank and he shows pocket 9s

There's that just when I was playing a positive 6 hour session up over 200 that happens lol

Your opening range UTG should be tighter. When a player calls !! you get little information. Most ppl always c-bet. c-betting from EP, before getting information is taking more risks.

If I'm the player with AQ and a player raises from UTG. I would put them on a better range than I would if they were on the button. AA-KK-AKs. Sometimes when I think a player raises all his pairs, I might also add QQ-JJ to that range. But most of the time I'm in trouble with AQ.

Unless I know a player opens with a wider range. QJs is a loose hand to raise with UTG. If I think you're that kind of player. I'll definitely call.

It's all about picking spots and on that hand I don't think it's because you always run into the top of your opponent's range .. I think it's because your range is too wide.
