Hey 2+2, I've already posted a thread here, which was a little challenge, in which I instantly went on a massive downswing so I just got it deleted, because it was honestly just an embarrassment for this Forum and for me
I'm new to this stuff, but I still want to give it a try so please bear with me.
Who am I?
My name is Dominik and currently I study mechanical engineering in Germany. I am 23 years old and I've been playing poker for about 2 years now (with no success at all). So I want to make 2018 the year where I turn it around and win at poker consistently.
My journey so far in Poker
As I said, I started about 2 years ago playing for fun in microstakes tournaments with no knowledge about the game at all, but I wanted to continue playing and maybe become a winner someday so I watched streams, bought some software, subscribed to a coachingsite and got a Coach last year aswell. After the Coaching I went from NL2z to NL25z in a matter of ~8 months, while I always had a very loose bankrollmanagement, which eventually ended disastrous a month ago. I played NL25z with ~20 buyins and I lost 5 buyins in 10 minutes, which made me go on a hot fiery monkeytilt and go up the stakes to try and get it back. So after 3 hours I was completely broke and I felt like I wasn't even part of this world, because of the pain that I was feeling and being so disappointed in myself, because I knew it was 100% my own fault. After that I really had only 2 options: Quit Poker forever or come back for one last shot and work my ass off. So I deposited $100 two weeks ago and started playing NL5z again with the plan to move down to NL2z, if I drop below $75. So far, this is my progress:
Planning to shot some NL10z later and see how it goes.
Goals for 2018
-Improve my mental game, so I don't punt off stacks randomly
-Work hard on my game, so I become a decent Player
-Practice proper Bankrollmanagement once I reach stakes, that are hard to beat for me
-Play NL100z as my regular game
-Go to the Gym consistently
If you're reading this, you probably read everything so thank you for your time. I will talk about my progress at least once a week here, so I hope some people will find this interesting
