After a couple of months of grinding 1/2, 1/3 and 2/5, I was a few thousand dollars up from live poker, had some big swings, lent a bunch of money out to friends, got some money stolen from me, and didn't really keep track of my wins/losses. I'm pretty sure I made a profit of at least $3k in that time, but I had very little to show for it because of all the money I lost outside of the poker room.

Literally just 3 days ago, I downloaded 'poker income' and started keeping track of all my wins and losses. Since then, I've been on a massive heater and won 6/6 sessions.

Session 1 (3 hours at 1/3): +$300
Session 2 (3 hours at 1/3): +$1495
Session 3 (4.5 hours at 1/3): +$682
Session 4 (3 hours at 2/5): +$482
Session 5 (1.5 hours at 1/3): +$548
Session 6 (1.67 hours at 2/5): +$395

Total profit for past 3 days: $3902 after 16.67 hours
Win rate: $234.12/hr

Obviously this is an extremely small sample size and very unsustainable in the long run, but still, it feels good to win almost $4k in just 3 days of playing predominantly 1/3 live. I've gained a lot of confidence from this and if my heater continues, I'll be able to permanently grind 1/3 and 2/5 live instead of working my current fast food job.

I concede that it was a bad Cbet. I just wanted to know why it was a bad Cbet, hence why I got a bit defensive about it - because I hate people telling me "you played this hand poorly" without actually explaining to me exactly what I did wrong and why it was a bad thing.

Played a $1.10 hyper turbo tourney on Stars just for the lulz... ended up coming 1st out of 1401 players and winning 200x my buyin

Thought I should update this thread after a year:
I had some huge ups and downs. Built up a $3k+ roll a few times and lost it either through bad loans or jumping stakes to something ridiculous like 2000nl or 1000plo.

Currently I put 3k aside for an overseas holiday. I bought the plane tickets to Thailand and I leave in a month. Going on holiday with my girlfriend. It does mean that I have very little $$$ left for poker, but this trip will bring me so much happiness that it's worth it imo.

Once I get back to Australia just before Christmas, I'll start getting back into poker and taking the grind seriously. By that stage, I'll probably have about $500 to my name.

It sucks that Stars, 888 and party have all dropped out of Australia, but we still have some other sites that use Bitcoins. But I'll mostly be playing live at the casino. I moved apartments so that I live 5 minutes walk away from the poker room now.

I guess I've failed the challenge, but I'll create a new challenge now: build up a 10k bankroll by the end of 2018, become a regular grinder at 1/3 PLO and 2/5 NL and take shots at 5/5 NL and 1/2/5 PLO8 only when the games are good. I look forward to this new challenge.

What I wouldn't give to watch 6b play PLO8. That'd be comedy gold.

It's just holdem with 4 cards and sometimes a low hand chop, sure he'd go fine.
