[global poker] beginner micro stakes

hi my name is spacerat65 im relatively knew to poker started playing well first time was my experience with live poker being underolled and always shortstacking. i guess i would just take 100 dollars there and see what happens ran it up a few times but not much.

so now im taking on online poker. nl4 at global is where i have started.

the purpose of this thread is to post how things are going i guess and try to encourage me to play enough hands to have a meaningful volume. ill post screenshots of my bankroll as i go and if i can figure it out ill post interesting hands for people to see.

so here is the format that some of the result will be that is my current bankroll 105 dollars [epic sweeps player] ACHIEVEMENT is really the only way to keep track of my hand history to calculate a winrate or see my volume. right now i have 10.5k hands.

starting bankroll 50.00
current bankroll 105.00

okay so thanks for reading and will be updating also post any questions see if i can figure out how to get hand histories other then manually typing them out which is what ill probably end up doing.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

going to post in my thread today i did session i think it was 1.2k hands maybe play later tonight but ive been up since 4am so im getting tired.

today session started good went on heater later in the day lost a few hands to bad luck had KK vs AQ on KTQ board made a big bet on flop turn is 6 shove turn he calls and binks a J. lost J high flush to a straight flush lol. at one point bankroll was at 125 thought about shot taking nl10 but i just dont want ot run bad and lose like two buy ins which would be 5 buy ins at my current stake. ive observed the nl10 matches and feel i can win at them but i want ot grind up my roll to a good enough amount ot where once i start playing there i dont have to drop down so probably at 150 or 200 dollars ill transition to nl10

i really wish i could post my hands but i cant get the raw text data of the hands only a replayer that doesnt allow me to anonymize my screen name.

starting br 50
current br 115
hands 12k

Gl bro. I'm sure we will be battling. I have spun up a few rolls on global but ended up having to cash big chunks of them out. Then I played out of my roll and went bust several times. I deposited 50 last week to start playing 4nl and grind it up, I'll be seeing you on the tables, domino23

Global-Poker is rigged, has flawed RNG. Has nothing to do with "real" Poker.

Just what I heard. Would ask around before start playing there

ive already started playing there i dont believe any of that stuff. ive played close to 14k hands nothing unreasonable long stretches of being card dead, reasonable amounts of beats, not too many premium hands.

every player ive ever seen at my table that someone draws out a flush on their AA or w/e complain of the game being rigged. to them someone hitting a flush on river means rigged. they're almost always the worst players these are the same people that make threads on forums about online poker being rigged.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

yesterdays session wasnt as good there were a lot of variance spots losing flush to higher flush, getting all on Q48 flop against a fish who had stacked off w/ tpgk i had KK he showed up with QQ. flopped a set of aces on ATK board bet flop, bet turn, river a J he donk shoves river i fold.

i punted my stack towards the end it actualy wouldve been a winning session had i not spewed in a lot of other spots.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

just played a short session and won 3 BIs in 160 hands. 2am - 8am is when the games are the most absolute fishy really if i switched my schedule to sleeping during the day and only playing at nights my winrate would actually probably be better. however lots of short stackers during them times as well and i dont like sitting at tables with more then 2 short stackers i just want full stacks when i do get premium hands / flops.

some hands i have KK in sb button raises to .14 i 3bet to .56 flop is J85 i bet .8 he calls. turn is 2 i check to him he bets 1 i shove he snap calls w/ J9 lol. another one was against two short stackers i have AQ it goes all in preflop AQ > 55 > K8s. i binked a Q on river.

id also like to start adding more tables the only problem is i play on a lenovo x240 w/ is a 12" screen and the resolution isnt the best. when the tables are that small i have a hard time reading my hands.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

wow another huge session. won a massive multi way pot with AA that i missbet on flop. so i have AA utg i raise .14 get called from two fishy players and one decent one. flop is 8TK rainbow. i bet half pot fish calls other fish minraises me decent player in sb flat calls the reraise. now here i shwere i mess i up i want to shove all in on flop if i run into a set i dont really care but i minraise the reraise on accident. they all call turn is a like 4 of spades or something. im just committed to a massive pot at this point so being second to act i just shove my whole stack in i realize im only probably being called by better but oh well. both fish call one has a K the other i dont know what the decent reg calls with QT of spades on a flush draw river is a blank i win the 11 dollar pot or w/e it was. then a few other big hands where people just spewed i did run a few good bluffs as well.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

alright guys bankroll is sitting at 140 an all time high. i bought into a nl10 table and played like three rotations and sat out because i just dont feel comfortable losing a 10 dollar stack to variance. i want to maybe shot take at it in future but not right now for now we're going to stick with nl4.

here is hte problem today was supposed to be a great day for grinding the morning sessions were absolutely awesome but then i went up town to run some errands ending up going out to eat and im massively devastated with food poisoning. im going to lay down and take a nap plus drink some water. also over next few days on top of recovering from food poisoning ill begin nicotine cessation so probably wont play any poker while withdrawal from that because it'll just cause me to not be on my A game. my thinking is i wont be playing for the next two days maybe a short session here and there but i need to recover from this illness and get rid of the nicotine in my system. will just be chilling watching probably twitch streams for awhile.

started my grind today losing some big hand ended up being a 4 BI downswing. then started another heating winning it all back plus some. then this hand below happens LOL. i flop the straight flush and im shocked like wow i just flopped that thing so i decide to check ot him and the unthinkable happens. he literally shoves his entire stack on the flop.

IMO, go with your what is most comfortable. If you sit in an nl10 game and don't feel comfortable there (as you previously made this assessment with your game), go back and grind nl4 until you feel that you have a sufficient bankroll to make good decisions at NL10.

If you decide to play nl10 for a time, I would suggest dropping back down within a prescribed loss of 4-5 bi's. Make sure you decide beforehand hand what "x" amount you will lose before dropping down. I think that could help to mitigate potential tilt.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

ya i decided against shot taking nl10. i just realized at nl4 ive experienced some pretty harsh variance and 4 buy in swings are extremely common. losing 3 BIs at nl10 would be almost a 10 BI loss at my current stake.

im going to stick to my original plan and take a 3 buy-in shot at nl10 when i have 200 in bankroll if drop below 170 grind it back to 180-200 and then take another shot etc until hopefully i can just move up permanently.

i calculated my winrate last night and its very good 15bb/100 so at this rate unless ive just been a super heater but at this rate within hte next 10000 hands i should have 200 in the roll. of course i realize these numbers can fluctuate and my sample isnt that big so im not getting my hopes up but at this rate we'll be there soon hopefully

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

well were taking beat after beat getting brutalized. not sure if im fish on heater or we just hit some rough variance. sets turning into full house on turn they make a higher full house on river. nobody is ever folding lol. another 5 BI downswing and i been playing like **** literally 3betting the fish with marginal hands never a good idea btw. the regs constantly having it. feel like sugar leonard getting hammered hard this fight will be memorable ****. im going to grind all night and see what happens these losing sessions are when i want t ofight back more then ever to play perfect but hands never hold getting raised on turn and folding AA to regs, fish showing up w/ the stupidest hands, just standard run bad with relaly bad play but yours truly. i can literally feeel the bad enzymes seeping into my bloodstream as this occurs like getting punched in spleen.

one reg did mention they see me a lot and wanted to konw what my winrate was lol but he said 'whats your hourly?' which is extremel cringe to say in micros lol 'like ya i make .10 cents an hour not bad eh?' but i just told him 15bb/100 because that is technically what it is atm they said i was 'good player' but god if only they knew how today has gone they might rethink that. but real recognize real that made this session good enough for someone to tell me im a good poker player actually felt good.

Keep grinding. I moved up to 10nl and got brutalized today by constant suckouts but I know volume is and playing well is the only way to overcome the variance. FWIW it seems like 10nl is a little tougher (less people gifting stacks left and right )

ya the games seem a bit tighter in general on nl10. people playing less hands but the hands they do play seem to be a bit more aggresssive w/ them is what ive picked up from watching a few games.

when did you shot take nl10? i think im just going to wait until i have 20 BIs for it then take a 3 BI shot.

yesterday was tough tons of bad play by me just clicking buttons triple barreling for no good reasons, bluffing in bad spots, not calling when i shouldve been. i started yesterday w/ 141 in the account at my lowest i was down to 119 and ended the day w/ 131 so i won most of it back towards the end but man the swings felt rough for sure.

hopefully today i play better less mistakes and the cards actually hold up lol.

Re: [global poker] beginner micro stakes

I came in 3rd in a 1500 garaunteed which added 250 to my roll. So I had around 30 bi when I moved up. Felt like I played really well yesterday but ended up losing 7 buy ins within the first 2 hours and then battled back to only losing 2. Like 3 different instances where I turned the nut straight, villian jams, I snap and they hit their BDFD

Hopefully my session tonight I'm on the other side of the coolers and the fish that put there money in bad dont spike miracle rivers

Cool bro. Gl on the tables. If I said something stupid to you in chat i apologize. I did the same to OP before I knew who he was. I'm working on not letting my emotions lead me to toxic chat.

Jesus christ I hate you lmfao.

You are one of the regs on there that give me a tough time. I cant remember exactly what the hands were but I remember you drew out a huge pot on me recently I think. I will like i had a set of aces and you flushed me out.
