omg I am DONE with drinking a bit of vodka while attempting to play. I started off all innocent like at 4plo and played fun and got a huge stack and everything. But soon I got upstuck and moved up to 20plo. I got a huge stack there. Lost it all. And then the fun begins. I started depositing from my funds not designated for poker. All told, $220, plus the balance I had on global! But right now I'm sitting with a $475 stack at 50plo and all is well. haha, fun times

please, someone come and wake my ass up and talk some sense into me. like the 6bet thread. i need more discipline, especially with this drinking thing.

Played some 20plo but mostly 10 last night and this morning. Played very well and ran hot. Cashed out another $71 and played a $3 nlhe sng for shts and giggles and finished 5th when I ran AQ into A5 and lost. He opened snap called with a5! Pretty bad.

Played all night, some 4plo, mainly 10 and a little bit of 20 at the end. Had a very swingy night. Bluffed too much, tilted too much and overall played badly. Lost exactly $1. Not bad for a bad session!

Well I did it again, went on absolute monkey tilt and moved up from 10, then to 20, then to 50plo and kept pulling money from my paypal stash. Overall I lost the roll I had on the site and then $250 from paypal. I recouped some of my loses at a 50 table b/c there were some really bad players there, but overall a disappointing day. Anyone have any reading suggestions for the mental side of poker?

yea do proper bankroll management.. that's the only way to successfully move up stakes. Be okay with getting sucked out, its variance. Just worry about being a winning player in the long run. Write your rules on a sheet of paper if you have to, and put it right beside your computer as you play. Good luck.

Mental side of poker, take a break if u are getting on tilt. Walk around the house. Learn how to meditate and do it 5-10 mins everyday.

hey all a lot has changed since may. I don't deliver newspapers anymore. I work for the county driving people around to their work and medical appointments and stuff. It doesn't pay that much but I am keeping busy and making about the same as I was with the papers but I do work more hours, however I am not using my own car.

I play on intertops and acr now. Mainly freeroll nlhe tourneys with the occasional PLO mixed in. I am not spending as much on poker as I used to and have given up the dream of making money on it, I just want it to be a fun hobby where I can be competitive and sometimes win something. Maybe I'll download poker tracker so I can gauge just how bad I am at PLO. I see so many mistakes people are making at the micros and it frustrates me that I can't beat it. If only for my sanity I think I will pay for poker tracker to see what my loss rate is. I have a feeling the high rake has at least something to do with it.

I used to work 2 days a week with my paper job, but now I am working 4 days a week with this "taxi" job. So far this month I have only lost $125 playing poker. I used to be a winner back in 2010 and pay my rent with it but that was in NLHE and not PLO and 8 years ago everyone was a lot worse than they are today.

I go by the names 2guys1cup on ACR and giftedmadnes on intertops. Been doing pretty good in their tourneys and stuff, just end up losing it all in cash games not using brm. Typical.

Goals for the next 2 months: buy poker tracker. read a book about the mental side of poker. Budget $50 a month to lose playing PLO cash games, play freerolls for the rest.

playing some plo.05 and .02 on acr, very swingy session. Had someone open 999a utg and hit a 1 outter against me. Had someone 3bet 77qj and call a 4bet against my aaxx and hits a set.

won 4 buys 3 tabling .02plo on acr after work.
today have played 1205 hands with a 87.22 bb/100 rate. i'm sure that is sustainable! haha

my vpip is pretty high at 44.

i also won $6 in an intertops freeroll.

bluffed on the river with busted wrap with J high and got called on paired board and won. acr's hh sucks so bad couldnt retrieve it. ;- /

also, won $10 in a freeroll the other day, crushing those, losing in plo cash.

thanks, i know the last few posts were lol worthy but I was drunk the last time I played and posted in this. I will update with some hand histories. The games on ACR micro plo have been great the last few days. Currently sitting on a $24 stack at 2NLO. Will post some stuff later on about a few hands if I can figure out the software I'm using.

running well tonight. turned a $2 rakeback into currently $70, sitting at 10plo. running well but the players aren't much better at 10 compared to 2. Currently sitting at Dwarf on there with a 7buy in stack, come rail me. (nobody has so far)

tonight a nit-reg called me the "worst player at 2plo". I couldn't believe it. I am not the best, nor the worst, but I am FAR from the worst. He said that while I had a 17$ and a $18 stack at two tables. Unreal.
