Changed my mind about Asian apps for now, I want to stick to MTTs because it's my favourite game. Still haven't quite figured out wtf is wrong with my mid/shortstack game, improving it will be my main focus in the beginning of 2019.
2018 recap:
A year ago I stated that "No goals for 2018, nothing changes but a digit" and it's pretty much still my attitude, but I've drawn a few conclusions from how this year went that I want to write down to remember them better.
-I won almost 2x more money in the first 4 months of 2018 than in my entire poker journey before, thought everything is in the right path to success, then had a bad SCOOP, pretty much ignored it because variance;
-after SCOOP I switched to a super duper lazy mode for a pretty long time which shouldn't have happened (anyway I confirmed myself in conviction that I don't see much joy in the "world outside 4 walls" until I'm not rich so this year I should have no problem working harder through sunny days)
-I think it was ****ING AUTUMN(!!!!) when I came to the conclusion that poor short/midstack game is probably the thing that is nowhere near good condition and costs me ****ing thousands of dollars. I should've noticed that earlier. The important conclusion is that the DB should be scanned monthly or at least quarterly for leaks, especially during downswings
-0 winnings days during WCOOP, wasn't fun
-last 2-3 months were super lazy, no motivation, no volume, no results, in December I started to grind a little bit more again but haven't really improved my short/midstack game, seems like nobody knows what's wrong and that's very ****ing annoying.
-unless I bink big tonight, I made less money in 2018 than in 2017, I hope that the conclusions I drew are important & will remember them through 2019 and beyond.
-on the positive side, I binked my biggest win this year ($18k in March), hoping to beat it in 2019 as I think I've been beating my biggest score year-by-year since 2015 or so.
Nonetheless, Happy New Year!
