So,

I have done a number of these with varying success...

also been in a downswing and playing awful, so I need the accountability that this Blog gives me..

The Plan is to start off by playing 1000 Games on Ignition, Try to play primarily Omaha/08, but will fire some NLHE MTT also...

hoping this turns things around... at a low point mentally, so need a break.

Starting Bankroll $301.52

Targets

1000 games by end of August
$3000 Total Profit.

don't give in to any feelings of rage/tilt/victimhood, just take the variance as it comes and play good.

Going to try to break this up into 40 sets of 25 Games, so first update coming after first set.

Godspeed everyone

Nice little quick happy update to start...

23 Games +$123.50...

played all SNGS and ran good in 6 Max SNGS for the small win....

important to build up a little psychologically for the long haul so just going to book the win and try to rebuild the castle brick by brick for the millionth time

23 Games
+$123

frustrating stretch... 85 games +$108...

running in place... can't get any traction... been accumulating huge stacks in every tourney I play then just punting everything away... quite maddening..

and this too shall Pass...

going to pop an adderall and play a long MTT session so hopefully better update to come..

108 Games
+$231

When you build a big stack in mtts and the blinds and antes get huge you want to relentlessly steal the blinds and give up to aggression / stickiness. It's amazing how fit or fold players become and you can win 6bb on most flops betting like 1.4x.

Don't attempt any double or triple barrel bluffs, but do go for thin value by giving irresistable odds. Obviously go for thick value when you have it. You cant win the tournament with 46 players left, just leverage your stack size to slowly chip up until you hit the final table. Then start opening up and pulling fancy moves again.

Just my 2c.

I used to get drunk or whatever and stay up all night and bust my roll back when i was a losing player. I started using the 100 buy in rule and moving down when I had less than 100. If you dont have the discipline then use 50. But if you don't have the discipline for some sort of BRM system that keeps you in the game you won't succeed. Poker is largely mental, being in the right mindset is impossible if you've got a huge chunk (or 100%) of your bankroll on the table.

Thanks for the advice man... just lost my job due to being ******* and stubborn and some rage tilt spilled over... series of jobs I have lost for past two years for being an *******.. something snapped and just can't stand anyone telling me anything..

problem is whenever depend on poker just put too much pressure and play bad and run bad.. bitter cycle...

I need to step back and assess the situation and determine if I really am a winning player.

also I think it is very important for me to maintain this journal, it gives me accountability, something I so sorely lack in any form...

Rinse and Repeat, almost cleaning to see account say zero..

will take a break for a few days and drink/rage and then deposit $300 back on..

10,000 games total(lol I know)

first 1000, all 08 SNGS and MTT. nothing else. figure out if you are any good.

Target $3000.. obv cheating starting fresh but have to play psychological games or I'll go crazy, crazier than I am already...

Be strong, don't slip up and play a single game of anything else.

Stick to the plan, if I bust the $300 playing 08 than very possibly I just don't have it ;(

games got harder or I got worse.....

Time and Space turn this ****er around.

just a quick update... nothing really working... ran bankroll up to $1600 ish, cashed out $1000 for rent and busted last $600 playing HU PLO SNGS and a few $55-$109 NL MTT like a spazz. felt very -EV and scared money and just weak and exploitable.

Just need to start taking some accountability for my actions it is as simple as that.

Rage and Self Loathing a bad dangerous combo for Poker... kind of want to play bad to justify what you are thinking about yourself.

Going to try a no weed experiment for the month of September, see if that helps at all, really can't make it go any worse...
