Haha tbh if I wasn't having such a meh summer I would've absolutely rated it. But when you're sitting there screaming for a call inside your head to win your biggest pot in weeks and get shown the deuce and the smirk, it was fkn painful haha!

Yesterday and the day before were utter degeneracy. No poker was played and I only got out the hole at the expense of bbissick whilst playing our weird version of RunItThrice. In 2017 I won approx $40k in the space of 4 days playing MTTs around 30th June. I then went to stay with bbissick for the last few days of the series before my flight home and we played a bit of runitthrice. We literally played for 3 days straight, stopping only to sleep for 5 or 6 hours a night before waking up and grinding 17 or so hours every day. We knew the basic rules but we didn't know about multipliers, so we made our own rules, which obviously meant it got way out of hand. I lost approx 11k to him over 4 days. I vividly remember at one point the multiplier was at 16x and we set the top board to be JJJ. After we set our cards he said "just so you know I have a jack". I caught an absolute miracle runner runner on the second board to not get scooped and not lose approx 1.5k in a single hand. Anyway I paid him like 8k and he let me leave Vegas and pay him a few k in installments at my own convenience. I don't think I've ever mentioned the above story before and it was by far the most tilted I've ever been in my life. So anyway I felt bad winning 2.1k off of him in an hour yesterday but on the other hand he ran like god against me for 3 straight days and won 5 figs so **** him
Ahh good times!
Anyway today I woke up early, exercised, sunbathed, showered, moisturised, meditated, and headed to the Rio early a brand new man. 3 hands into the session and I put 800 in pre w KQo to put an end to any new dawns
so btn straddles and action starts on sb (such a ridiculous rule but w/e), I raise sb to 40, BB flats off of about 775. Folds round to CO and he puts it allllllll-in for 125. I re-iso to 300 and BB puts it alllllll-in for 475 more so I sigh call it off. I think I've played pretty well throughout Vegas, a few mistakes here and there, but I've butchered this one. Anyway The flop is K49 and he goes ahhh you got there huh? I obv don't wanna show my hand out of embarrassment and also I called him so I don't move. Turn Q and we're like yessss. River brick and he hesitantly shows JJ and I show KQo and he gets up and shouts at me (bear in mind I'm right fkn next to him) about how I'm such a fish for putting in "one thousand" with KQo and I yell back "I didn't fly half way across the world to be told by you how to play my hand, they're my chips and I'll play them how I want!" and he stormed off
I then did something that was by far and away the most horrific thing I've ever done in a game of poker. Completely my fault and I don't think this was an angle by villain. So there's an open to 15 and a call, I call 22, HJ calls, CO calls, and BTN sqzs to 90. Folds round to me and I call, HJ calls and CO folds (remember this). Flop is K82ssh. X to btn who cbets 1/3, I call. Turn 6h I xc 360. River is another 2 to give us quadzilla. I check and BTN says to dealer "did he check?" and I say yes and the dealer says yes and I am so unbelievably certain that he also checked so I snap turn my hand over. He goes "wait I didn't check" and I'm like oh right and he rolls over...
...he had around 700 behind. Two things. Firstly The guy to my right told me after the hand that he was certain the guy x/b too. The guy to my left said that he saw his hand do some sort of movement. I don't know villain in the hand personally, but I know his friend, and his friend is a rly good guy. It's defo not an angle, it's just a complete misunderstanding on my part. Second point I wanna make is that my friends have said to me "oh you should have confirmed the action!" but I am 100000000% certain he checked; imagine how ****/slow poker would be if every time you know someone checked you ask them/the dealer "did you check?" Anyway I'm a fkn whale. Oh also CO claims he folded 66 for the classic set over set over set, but I call BS on that one coz who the fk folds when they're last to act for 75 more w 66 there.
Thankfully we dragged in a healthy enough pot and were able to laugh along with the table at my stupidity. It was a rly fun table today, one of the guys was telling an amazing story about how he was playing a huge pot at 5/10/20 in the Rio on the turn and after a minute of him thinking the dealer literally went "clock", and called the floor over and the floor told him to stfu
I was in absolute stitches. Quick sidenote, I never give the dealers **** playing live poker but my god the dealers/staff in general at the Rio are ****ing awful. Cashier today tried to count my chips in stacks and I told her to use racks to count it and she huffed and puffed and what do you ****in know the stacks of $100 chips are 2.1k and not 2k. Cheeky +1.5k day today, much needed for my own sanity!!
Ima try update this thread again daily, it's just tough when I'm on a **** sleep schedule or have nothing to write about other than being card dead for hours or that I've spent 3 days in bed crying and wanking etc etc
