Argh happens so often lately. I have a good lead towards the end heading into FT and I get 5 outted twice after the flop back to back hands.

now last in chips out of 15 left.

Seriously unreal. The 6th like exact same scenario the past week. I'm out 12th JJ lose to A3o. Such a big swing when you add it all up.

No tourneys today. Feel kind of tired, going to bed early.

Bad beats aside I'm still pretty happy with my frequency of results. I see noticeably stronger clusters of consistent deeper finishes. The more I study the more spots I recognize that I never did before. I notice I'm winning a lot more pots I never would've won before.

Currently house hunting.

I noticed Bay 101 is doing Shooting Star again. I've never played that. Probably going to be the next live one I play.

Just had a fun one. Was 18th in chips out of 388 in the $10,888.

PF: 40bb stack opens 2bb utg, 7bb flats +1 lol, I have 61bb and misclick to 4bb w/ JJ, UTG calls, +1 goes all in, I shove, and UTG calls.

I'm up against. 33 and J7

Flop is: A 8 8

They both beat me by the river lol. So gross. Now got 13bb. It's weird it's exactly JJ everytime that's performing horribly. I guess Ignition doesn't like some guy named Jack.

It's impossible to be beat by both of those hands by the river. Something's wrong.

Switch to Bovada, they like Jacks. Eff ignition. (It's the same site and player pools just a different skin)

What do you mean it's impossible to beat by both hands? I just meant both of their hands were better than mine by the river. Not that there were 2 winners of the hand.

Obv 33 won the whole pot. But it was crazy that even J7 ended up beating my hand. Once the turn came the 4 I knew I was screwed.

Both hands can't be better than your hand by the river. You made a mistake. Only one 3 of clubs in the deck last time I checked.

Oh yeah sorry. The 3c was on the river. Villain didn't have it. That card must've been stuck in my mind when I posted and accidentally mixed it into his hand.

Some awesome $50nl hands 6 max.

PF: LJ on $20 stack limps, HJ on $45 to $1.50, CO calls, Button Calls, Hero in sb makes it $11 with my favorite hand JJ, LJ calls, rest fold.

Flop: Td 6d 3h
Hero shoves, villain folds.

PF: Button limps, sb limps, hero checks QTo in bb.

Flop: 8h 4h 8d
Checks thru

Turn: Ks
checks thru

River: 6h
Checks thru.

Sb wins with AQo.

Other things of note guy over calls bet and call on river with T high. Loses to flush and 2 pair.

Guy calls down with K5o on A A 8 board 3 streets of course loses.

People donking for pot into 2 players with bottom paur and 2nd pair.

Guy checked JJ in bb.

I take back what I said earlier. $50nl is waaaay fishier than any limit I've played so far. This is like $5nl the way it plays.

Another classic.
PF: Fish who's been vpip 100% with a limp, limps LJ on $25, Hero makes it $2 in HJ with Q J, fish calls in sb on $17, BB folds.

Flop(6.5): J 6 4
sb fish jams for $15, folds to hero who calls. brick, brick. Fish shows 99.

Somehow I'm still in with 27 left. But can't seem to stave off even one beat. I flop a flush in bb with 3c4c when 4 people limp and guy shoves 66 with a club into 4 people on Qc8c7c lol. of course he gets his club.

Wife is going to take the baby to a friend's house on Saturday. So I'm free to have a day to play. I looked up some local tourneys, nothing much going on.

Bay 101 is closest and has a $350 satellite to the Shooting Star next year so I guess I'll do that and play a few hours of cash afterwards.

Sort of an interesting spot at 3/5/10

Hero has around 2k, vilain is around 1700.
Villain is an older Asian male. Seemed like your avg live player. Limp called some, opened sort of tight and called a lot of opens from the blinds. Post flop he was pretty straight forward, but likes to lead with typical mediocre strength hands and some draws. He just doubled his stack like an hour prior when he got lucky cold calling a 3bet to 150 from the bb and flopped quad 33s vs AA on 633. He check called all the way and a decent reg value bet AA on a 6 3 3 J 8 run out.

PF: One limper in MP, Hero makes it 50 on button w/ A Q
villain calls in sb, MP calls.

Flop(160): A K 4
Villain leads 50, MP folds, Hero makes it 150 for value, Villain calls.

Turn(460): 8
Villain checks, hero bets 300, villain calls.

River(1060): 8
Villain bets 200, Hero shoves.

Sexy. Im not sure if people at 5/10 are more disciplined and capable of laying down a flush, but you rep AA/KK and better flushes credibly. I hope it got through. I probably would have just shrug/called vs that river sizing and missed a possibly profitable bluff spot.

Oh I didn't do it to try and make a flush fold, though I guess some might so there is some benefit in that as well.

I'm doing it to deny the chop from all his Ax which is what I think makes up the majority of his range here. Sometimes he has Kx which is whatever and a small portion of the time he has a non-nut flush which might call maybe 65-70% of the time. So getting that 30% of folds is cool too. But I think he has a very difficult time calling with a bare Ax here.

The benefit of raising the flop is that I can credibly rep AA/KK/44 and since I have Ad I can rep nut flush too that could definitely play this way as I never put him on a set the way he gets to the river.

It's nice when you have villain's that play in a way that you basically know what their cards are.

I don't think I would've been able to take this line against all players.

And yeah he tanked for 2 min showed me an A and folded.

Nice bluff. Against what is pretty obviously a blocker bet this is a very good shove. Even with a complete air ball I think it's not a bad bluff but blocking nut flush and having a chop locked up I think it's even better Bravo!

And this is a 3/5 game with a 10 straddle? If so even better spot to bluff because this guy is less likely to want to call it off or to be a really capable player in the first place.
