Not surprisingly that J6 button clicker is out already.

8 min left in this level and then break and registration closes.

Got 70k at 400/800 800

203 entries on day 1b.

123 left playing down to 25 today.

Still 10 handed which is my only gripe.

But only 1 other player at the table who seems good.
Rest are just very old school in their playing style and too loose pf and passive straightforward post.

No playable hand for about 3 orbits.

Old man has 60k, guy to his left has like 40k i have 65k in position on both.
Blinds 600/1200 1200
PF: Old man limps utg+2, Next guy makes it 5100, Hero calls next to act with A 9, old man calls.

Flop: A K 6
Old man checks, Pfr bets 7k, hero folds, old man goes all in pfr calls.

Old man has A 9 and Pfr has KK lol. Maybe that AK was a bad fold earlier.

I think AK maybe should've been a check behind call basically any river.

Good luck!

Yeah for sure. Now that I've seen more of his erratic post flop play that's better.

Got 90k at 800/1600 1600. 93 left.

Another break down to 76 players.

Card dead level. Got 79k going into 1k/2k

The other guy who I said was good just owned the 2006 lady twice for all her chips.

First time ever happened to me. EP open shoves, folds to sb who shoves, I'm in bb with AdKd and say let's win a flip and call.

All 3 of us have AKs lol. One guy was freerolling the river that was scary.

Man I hate when I punt.
I think cause I was card dead for like 3 levels. But at least not tilted cause not a bad beat.

I open utg on 27bb to 2.5bb with AJo, button who has like 60bb 3bets to 7bb and I shove. he calls with AKo.

I thought since my image was tight he would give me credit for a bigger hand lol I suck. But at least I only fired 1 bullet

Walked for like 20min yo reset and giving my hand at the 3/5/10 game. Bought in for 1k which is the max.
See how it goes.

Flop(210): Q 6 8
Check, hero bets 70, button calls, fold

Turn(350): 4
Hero checks, villain bets 150, hero calls

River(650): Q
Hero bets 125, Villain tank calls. mhig

No I won the hand.

I'm pretty sure he had 99 or TT which is what I was targeting on the river.

No straddle this hand. Same villain when I won with JJ.

He has about 1k I cover.

PF: 400 stack weak tight kid limps utg, folds to hero in HJ who makes it 25 with A J, CO on 300 stack calls, villain calls in sb, bb and weak tight folds.

Flop(85): 3 5 6
Villain checks hero bets 35, CO folds, villain makes it 150, hero calls.

Turn(385): K
Villain checks. he looks genuinely frustrated at the K. Like a micro expression not like he consciously made some face.
Hero bets 235, villain instafolds.

Gotta teach these young bloods some lessons

Only played 2.5hrs for this session as the wife wanted me back home. I was already getting a little bored anyways.

One common leak I saw from many of the players other than limping too much and calling raises too loose, were that they would CR bad TP hands and if they ever got called they were like oh crap what do I do now.

Had a couple hands vs this kind of loose semi laggy kid. But I observed his threholds for what he was willing to put in the pot with certain ranges. Basically he didn't want to put in more than 150 on any street without a very strong hand.
So I decided to take it to the streets on him a couple times.

Stacks are about 1600 effective. Straddle is on.
PF: Hj, CO, and button all limp, Hero makes it 80 with JJ from sb, bb folds, villain in straddle calls, rest fold.

Flop(195): K T 6
Hero bets 75, Villain calls

Turn(345): T
Hero bets 205, villain folds.

I felt he's capped at like KQ and he's not going to call 3 streets even if he calls turn. So decided to turn my hand into a bluff since I can rep AK and AA pretty well here.

Later on, similar stacks as before. Straddle on.

PF: Hero opens UTG+2 to 40 with A 6, Villain in HJ makes it 120, folds to hero who calls. I thought about a 4 bet since we're deep enough but decided to go another route.

Flop(255): Q J 7
Hero checks, Villain bets 105, hero calls.

Turn(465): 5
Hero checks, villain checks I was going to go for a CR here if he bet.

River(465): Q
Hero bets 205, villain tank folds.

Yeah it's a California thing, idk why they have these weird color schemes. I remember it took a little getting used to for me in the beginning because they are $1 chips everywhere else.

I was always used to 100s being black. Which 20s are black here. I remember when I first played the 10/20 at Commerce I was like man this game is playing super deep! Until I realized they were stacks of 20s.

But it's funny everyone seems to agree that 25s should be green though.

Maybe it's a northern Cali thing.

Reminded of another hand from yesterday.

Villain is Filipino guy in his 20s. Just sat down like half an orbit ago he's in bb with about 600.
Hero is in MP.

PF: UTG limps, Hero makes it 25 with 88, Villain makes it 75, folds to hero who calls(wouldn't recommend to do this that often on these stacks).

Flop(155): Q T 7
Villain checks, Hero checks

Turn(155): K
Villain checks, Hero checks

River(155): J
Villain bets 150, hero folds. Villain shows QQ

He played it awesome.

Played some NL25 on Ignition

Quads are always fun.

Villain is UTG+1 with $57.67
Hero is BB with $29.85

PF: UTG limps, Villain $0.78, UTG+2 calls, Hero calls w/ 88,
UTG calls

Flop(3.22): 8 8 2
Hero checks, UTG checks, Villain bets $3.94, +2 folds, Hero makes it $8.88, UTG folds, Villain calls. I thought maybe he'd know what I have by my bet haha.

Turn(20.98): 5
Hero checks, Villain checks

River(20.98): 5
Hero bets all in 20.19, Villain calls and shows QQ

Sooo run good over I guess lol. I min raise utg and this dude shoves on me. Gets rewarded for his superb play of course.

So I go from 3rd of 147 to 74th of 147. See what happens.

Well that was fast. out 120th for a min cash. Shoved 10bb utg with QTs called by 77 and I don't fair as well as my counterparts. One day I'll win these 85-15 flips in the mid stages of a tournament. Hopefully it's in a big one.
