Hi everyone

I'm a mid 20's poker player from the UK. After starting to play live cash early this year and having a lot of success I chose to cash out my online roll to be able to more comfortably play deep stacked £1/2 games. Currently up £27.5k~ so far this year playing mostly £1/2. So I will be starting the online part of this blog with $150 at NL10z, hopefully I will be able to move back up quickly!

Long-term goals:
-Move up from 10NLz to 200NLz
-Grow my live bankroll to a point where I can shot higher stake games in London more regularly.

Weekly goals:
-Play 15k hands online
-Study for at least an hour a day, 5 days a week
-Play 5 live sessions
-Work on my mental game every single day(biggest leak by far)

Managed to squeeze a quick 1k hands in before heading to the casino. Went well, no overly interesting hands apart from the one posted below.




Prefer to 3bet or fold but with the rec opening decided to just flat IP. I think most players in this pool are going to check an overpair on this board OOP+ multi-way so felt fairly good about ripping it in. Unfortunately not a good run out.

Is there a reason you are spending time grinding nl10 for probably a very low hourly when you could be making better money? You are giving the idea you won the money for your live roll online so I assume you were beating bigger online games??

Hey mate, I grew my live roll organically from a £1k start in January. My hourly is significantly higher playing live than my online hourly ever has been so it just makes sense to put most of my focus into that. There have been games over the last few months with players going all in blind for 300bb+ and ripping 500b+ stacks pre with off-suit raggy aces etc. Really wanted to pad my live roll so I could make the +EV calls without worrying about losing a large percentage of the roll.

I get what you are saying though. The other side of the answer is that I just really wanted to do a bankroll challenge and see how quickly I could climb the stakes

A lot of my BBvSB 3bet range consists of off-suit aces. I've been cbetting 1/3 almost 100% of the time IP in 3bet pots as population at NL10 appears to be defending horribly against it. It's just printing so far. Whilst overbets tend to be nutted at this stake, I just figured in this particular case it was weak. With my combo and the board blocking most of the flushes he can have with the obvious exception of QJs. Also can't see most players choosing this sizing with sets/straights
