Alright guys, this will be my 3rd attempt at poker. Last summer i lost 2 rolls of $100 playing cash games, mostly because i tilt too much and move up stake. 3 days ago i deposited $50 and will play only MTTs on partypoker. I saw some people turn $100 into +1k so that got me motivated again.
My current goal is to turn $50 into $100.

My BR is $100 but decided to deposit $50 because i don't want to blow it quick like i did before.

I want to learn more and improve my game but i don't know where to start, any suggestions?

I am down $42 already.

Been losing all important flips lately

Lost KKo to AQo, then, KKo to 34o, AAo to AK and more... All of those were preflop all-ins for bounty

Read books, post hands in the appropriate forum for the games you are playing. Respond to others' hands and see what people think of your thought process. Play smaller buy-ins.

Depends on what level you are playing and what your background already is. Harrington on Hold'em is somewhat dated, but a good foundation on how to think about tournament poker. Kill Everyone (Lee Nelson and Tysen Streib) is the next step, then Jonathan Little, imo.

I don't know about ROI, pokerprolabs says its not opted.

pokerprolabs stats for partypoker:

Games Played: 74
Total Winnings: $64.17
Avg. Buy-In: $1.06
Biggest Buy-in: $7.50
ITM %: 20.27

pokerprolabs stats for pokerstars:

Games Played: 35
Total Winnings: $25.35
Biggest Buy-in: $4.40
ITM %: 25.71

pokerprolabs stats for 888poker :

Games Played: 25
Total Winnings: $6.25
Avg. Buy-In: $0.96
Biggest Buy-in: $5.00
ITM %: 28
Total Profit: -$17.67
Average Profit: -$0.71
Average ROI %: -73.87

I recognize my what's my main problem, i'm too scared to play comfortably and i know that scared money doesn't win money...

Thinking of getting $ for the roll from the green guys and hopefully not bust it again.

Have you read Harrington’s most recent book on tournament poker? It came out a few years ago, it’s an updated version of his original series. Just wondering if it’s best to stick with his original series or is his latest book a better option? I’m still learning the game, so I really don’t know.
