Hello guys,

my last attempt of a blog was horrible, but this year I want to take it more seriously and start crushing poker - so here I am!

I'm a 26 year old father trying to make it in poker to create a better future for both me and my family. I'm a vivid fan of metacognition and all things related to productivity, I love reading books and just try to succeed in life, as all of us do. I try to push to the limit in terms of health, diet etc. to achieve the best results I can in life.

I joined the BluffTheSpot Stable last year in March, had to take a massive break after April tho, so basicly I'm seriously attempting poker since November 2018. Didn't have too much poker experience before, so I'm kinda new to the game. I'm gonna post some HH's to discuss, also I'm gonna be posting weekly goals to keep myself accountable! If some funny stories come along I'll share those aswell

As I'm only checking my graph/results every two weeks, don't expect graphs too often here

Started in mid-November with 100$, currently mainly playing NL50 with my first shots towards NL100. I'm gonna leave my graph so far below:

Been doing well so far, but I'm not too happy overall. Most of the sample is FF and some Zoom, which is gonna change in the future. I want to be a smarter about my career, switching to normal tables asap and start tableselection to improve my winrate.

Goals for the year:

- turn pro around october this year and move to sweden
- establish myself as a strong NL200 reg, hopefully shotting NL400 by the end of the year
- read 3 books every month
- making the switch to normal tables, getting efficient at multi-site play and table selection
- JUST ****IN CRUSH IT AND WORK HARD.

this it is for my first post, gonna try to update atleast 3x per week and yeah, gl everybody!

Hey guys,

time for a little update .

Didn't grind a lot the last two days since I did more content stuff. Made the switch to HM2, just felt more appealing to me and since I never really "used" a HUD, it just felt like a fresh start. Obv had PT4 before and did run a HUD, I just never really payed any attention to it and played my own game, which obviously results in missed explo opportunities. I also think there is just quite some EV in designing your own HUD, since it just shows you exactly what you want, where you want it. It takes some time tho :O - designed the overall looks of it, gonna finish the popups today+tomorrow.

Other than that I gathered more information about sweden and ohh boy: that real estate market looks ****ed up! Up to 200 applicants per flat in Gothenburg - anybody from Sweden here who could share a bit of insight about the rentals in Sweden? Seems like close to impossible to find a flat :O. If that's the case, we obv. need other options like Estonia maybe - need to dig further into that subject for sure.

Had another coaching session yesterday and had some really big eye openers and found a really big leak in my c/r game as the BB - I just love these moments. It's strange to me that people often just want to show their glorious hands, where I believe you learn the most just exposing yourself to the things you suck at. So I really enjoyed that one.

Also just seeing that the coach used to be a student struggling to beat NL50z and now he's grinding NL1k-5k is just a massive motivation boost to keep striving! Digging a lot into PIO right now, since I made the switch from GTO+. Made myself a study plan and I'm really excited for the future.

That's it for today hope you guys are doing well!

glgl!

100% self improvement for the last two years. Mainly about diet, brain science, metacognition, meditation practices, how sports affect the brain etc. I just want to see how far you can push yourself if you really treat your body to the maximum, which sometimes is tough to do but 100% worth it.

Played some NL50ff today and after a talk with my coach from yesterday, I'm convinced this is the right approach for me atm. FF/Zoom just allows you to fire up 2-3 tables and play those with a really high amount of focus while still having decent volume and improvement should be my nr. 1 concern atm. Money is being made mid/highstakes, so whatever gets me there quicker should be better. So I'm aiming to become a solid/good NL200z reg by the end of the year, so let's see how that goes!

Gonna grind my 5h tomorrow again, I'll post some interesting hands to have some discussions with you guys

btw got my first poker chips some weeks ago - boy shuffling chips has become an addiction am I the only one doing that 24/7 while grinding?

gl guys!

Hey mate best of luck to you will be following, do you have much sample on ff NL50? Curious myself to see what win rates can be achieved on ff, will be starting at NL25 ff myself in few weeks.

hey mate, thank you! Not too much sample on NL50ff, played around 20k hands there so far at around 10bb/100, NL25ff is around 90k sample with 7.5bb/100. Ran fairly decent, no major upswing. I think if you are able to stay disciplined and adapt to different player types, you can for sure have 4bb/100+, but it's for sure tougher than zoom.

Grinded around 2.2k hands today. Played 2 tables and it felt really good. I was focused way longer, played really well and didn't have those "wtf are you doing man" moments. Ran really poor today, but was able to stay discipline and felt comfortable about my game.

Didn't have any really interesting hands today :/ so hopefully I'll be able to post some tomorrow.

gl everybody!

Hey guys,

little update about the FF grind and welp - insane downswing atm .
The 50ff pool itself is really easy, mega callingstations wanna GTO warriors (mostly bots) + some mega honest regs, but yeah mostly callingstations, some also bluff a lot. So yeah, the easy adaption: Dont bluff in spots where ranges are narrow ( since they dont fold), bluff when ranges are wide and they cap themselves and just wait for value to get paid bigtime.

Well, hard to do anything if they always have it and you dont hit **** . Plus tons of setups, especially vs fish. Well, not much you can do.

It's funny how in poker you go from: "ahh, what a comfortable roll, plus a 63% rakeback week coming up, im feeling good" to just a variance hit into "wait, do I need to move down soon?"

I can take those swings really well, I don't take it personal and just try to play my best game possible. It actually motivates me to just get better and reduce the swings by bigger edge, but lady variance is certainly scary at times.

Have around ~27k hands to play until I need to pay my next cut - so here's hoping we turn things around a bit. Having a 400$ reload right now, so I should overall achieve between 63%-73% rakeback next week, let's hope that helps

gl to all of you, hope you ain't messin with variance like I am
